Is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time. Friendly staff and great breakfast easy access to the highway. I would recommend stay here.

Stayed here one night and was very pleased with everything. The staff was friendly, the lobby and hallways were clean, and they offered free pancakes after 8PM(late night pancakes for the win). The room was clean and comfortable as well. I found 2 stray hairs on the floor which to me seems like they must have missed sweeping, but everything else was great.

Wonderful location, spacious room and very friendly service! The included breakfast had a great selection and our family enjoyed the stay here. It has a nice pool but sadly we had no time to use it. Only disadvantage I might see if you are a light sleeper the sounds carry easy. I could hear kids running in the room above us. All around I recommend this Holiday Inn Express!!!

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express — Omaha I-80 in Gretna, NE during our cross-country relocation. As someone who has stayed in a range of hotels, from cheap motels to some truly swanky resorts, I was shocked at the quality of both the property and service at the Holiday Inn Express in Gretna. This is clearly a new(er) property, as the entire building is tastefully decorated and spotless. It is also right next door to a large, new Walmart(a great plus for anyone who’s traveling). The rooms and furnishings are new, comfortable, and inviting. The bed was so comfortable that we had a really difficult time waking up(and that would have been the case even if we hadn’t been driving for 45 hours at that point), and the linens are much higher end than I would have expected at a Holiday Inn. The bathrooms are tile and marble, and the shower had excellent water pressure, even for someone with super-thick hair that can be difficult to wash with the light mist that comes out of most hotel shower heads. Towels were also of very high quality; none of the scratchy old cotton towels I remember from staying at Holiday Inns as a kid. The included hot breakfast was more than adequate, with eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancake station, fruits, yogurt, juice, etc. It’s not gourmet, but is certainly enough to get you going on a cold morning. The breakfast area has plentiful tables, a flatscreen TV, and coffee and tea stations, as well. However, perhaps the best feature of the Holiday Inn Express is the staff. We were checked in and welcomed by Kate, one of the night managers, who was cheerful, helpful, and just all-around pleasant. We explained that we were in the process of moving cross-country and exhausted, and Kate was more than happy to provide us with delivery menus from local restaurants and recommendations of which ones were the best. The next morning, we were asked by the breakfast area attendant if everything was alright and if there was anything else we needed, and provided with a weather report and wishes for a safe journey by the day manager upon our check-out. My only regret about this stay is that we won’t likely be traveling through Gretna again anytime soon; however, if we ever do, we’ll be staying here.
