Stopped there tonight at 6:10 pm and it was closed… Do they not need the business? The Beanery got your business!!!

I stop by this place a couple of times a week for a caffeine fix in the morning. The employees here are all extremely nice and friendly. They did a great job recruiting customer service employees. I’m come through regularly and they were quick to memorize my order. I’ve never had them get my order wrong. They’re very helpful. I prefer mine with soy milk instead of dairy milk. I’m not lactose intolerant. I just think it gives your latte/mocha a silkier taste. I also usually opt for an extra shot of espresso in my drink. It’s only 50¢ and gives it a nice caffeine bump. I’d love to comment on the quality of their coffee, but I am so not a coffee connoisseur. I’m in it purely for the caffeine. They could serve me yesterday’s coffee that they microwaved to get hot and I wouldn’t know. However, there are plenty of coffee snobs in the world who will happily weigh in on the subject if you’re interested. Get a Scooter’s Gift Card and use that to pay for your drinks. You get a free drink when you purchase a $ 25 gift card. So, that works out to 1 free drink for every 5 drinks you purchase. Much better than Starbucks 1 free drink for ever 12 drinks you purchase. I only have a few complaints: I’m not sure I am always getting my extra shot of espresso in my mocha. Obviously, an extra shot changes the espresso to steamed milk ratio and so my mocha should be a tad stronger in taste. It frequently is not. So, I really wonder if I am getting the extra shot of espresso for which I am paying. They run out of soy milk too frequently. I’ve been coming here since this place opened almost a year ago and in that time they have told me they were out of soy milk on 7 separate occasions. Seriously? Once or twice is understandable, but SEVEN times? Is your supplier that terrible that they keep forgetting it or is someone that incompetent at ordering that you keep forgetting it? Finally, they have this habit of not filling the cup all of the way. I don’t know if they’re putting too much foam in and it dissipates quickly or what. So, my cup is frequently only about 80% full when I go to drink from it. Not a huge deal, but with the cost of coffee at places like this I’d really like my cup to be filled to the rim. Perhaps in the future I’ll start ordering my drinks with no foam and see if that helps. On a humorous note, there’s a sign in the window that says they have free wi-fi. How does that work? It’s a drive-thru only location. I guess you can utilize their free wi-fi during the 3 minutes you’re in their drive-thru. That’s just funny.
