Slow service, expired products are commonly found, and the cashiers are very rude yet they don’t speak to u yet look at u like ur crazy and yelling across to other cashiers about wat they were doing on they day off. The cashiers also don’t seem like they want to work.

This is the worst store I have ever been too. The only thing good about this place is that it is open late and close to my house, but I loathe this store and feel stuck going here because my options are so limited. They do not have much heathly options compared to Rouses. The cashiers are so rude, everytime. It seems like everyone who works here is racist. I see them talking to the black people in front of me, but once I get to the front of the line there is no eye contact, no greeting not really one word spoken to me during the transaction. This has happened on numerous occasions with numerous cashiers. It blows my mind. This is a customer service job, right? Not to mention, there was night I came in late after work with my boyfriend and the cashier of course did not acknowledge us or talk to us and then we tried to pay for our food and the system crashed. We were so hungry and low on options that we did not want to just leave without getting anything. So the cashier called for the manager numerous times and no one would come to help her. It was so annoying and time consuming. The security guard was eyeing us up like we were gonna steal something. The security guard made my boyfriend feel extremely uncomfortable and mad. The stocking manger from the back came up to help after some time and he had no idea what to do. The manager finally came out and moved us to another register, but it was ridiculous. I hate going in this store, I don’t think I have ever had a good experience here. The cashiers lag and are lazy. They used have a self check out and that made it so much more tolerable to come here, but they did away with self check out for whatever reason. Anyway, if I could give negative stars I would. This is by far the worst establishment I have been to.

I keep trying to like this grocery because my husband loves the fuel perks. My main issue is that I have the check expiration dates on everything I pick up before I put it in my buggy. I constantly see expired yogurt and cheese, moldy veggies and brown veggies. I never see really fresh yummy looking produce here. It is nice that it’s usually never too crowded so you can get in and out.

I like this Winn Dixie for the most part. They tend to have a lot of close out items which at the time is great, they go on sale super cheap… But what are they being replaced with hmmmm… For the most part I can get in and out without any register hold up that’s always a plus.

Fairly standard grocery store on the Westbank with an occasional out-of-stock problem. I’d probably say that they are out of something I typically buy about 1 in every 3 times I come here. Mostly, it’s not the staples they’re out of… although when they do their big sales you might actually find that something like the on-sale brand of unsalted butter is completely gone for an afternoon or a day. I get the idea of «unexpected demand during a specific sale»…but I don’t know why they have stocking issues at other times– you’d think that if they pretty much sell out of unsweetened soy milk or grapefruit juice week after week, they might think about ordering more the next time. That doesn’t seem to happen. Week after week, they get their little allotment of 8 – 10 containers or so and then they get bought up within a day or two and then that shelf in the cooler is empty for the next 3 days until another shipment comes. That said– they carry a fairly wide assortment of stuff(I have trouble finding plain unadulterated unsweetened soy milk at all otherwise– can’t stand the texture of whatever additive is in the Silk stuff– as far as I know, Whole Foods across the river is the only other source– so WD gets props for actually carrying it at all on the Wank) The deli section is decent– rotisserie chickens, grocery-store sushi, etc. so it works well if you’re having a rush day with no time to actually cook. Checkout is typically not too bad– they have enough cashiers that you don’t have to wait excessively long to get checked out. There’s a bunch of self-check stations too if you’re in a real hurry.

The crazy thing is that I come to this Winn Dixie fairly regularly, but I always forget to check in! Hence my belated review. This store is okay. It’s not really my first choice when I am looking for something grocery wise in the area. Some of the stuff here can be a bit overpriced and they often don’t have what I am looking for. If you are looking for fancy beer or cheese, skip this place and head over to Rouses. I have found the staff pretty friendly, but during the day they don’t keep a ton of registers open during the day because the crowd that comes in is smaller.

This Winn Dixie is one of the larger ones on the Westbank, so we like to come here when we need to stock up. Most recently, we came here following the hurricane to get some canned goods, cat litter, etc(we were still without electricity). They handled the huge amounts of customers very well. We only had to wait in line to enter for about 15 minutes(a much, much shorter line than at Rouses down the street). It was a fairly quick trip in & out once we made it in the door. They even managed to keep water and ice in stock! For normal grocery shopping, it’s on par with most other WDs in the area, but with more stuff & usually fresher produce.
