Nice little find. I stuck with the fried seafood platter so I didn’t stretch the menu but it was good. Service was quick and friendly. I’ll take it over the chain steakhouse nearby if I’m in town again.

This is a great little gem. I love the po boy sandwich and the calimari. The drinks are the stiffest ive seen in Griffin. This is a very nice place and the staff is so nice.

The food here simply isn’t good. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating and fun. I visited this location with some family who live in the area for a Christmas party. They have ample room and the banquet hall was great for our purposes. I think if you’ve never had good seafood this place is probably fine for you. Unfortunately, I have. I hope they can improve because it is a nice place with a great staff.

I’m a fan! Yes it is a little out of character but the food is great. The calamari is some of the best you’ll ever have. Beer is cold, seafood is fresh, and I’ll be back. The happy hour is good and was packed out Friday night. Definitely one of the better places in Griffin.

The service was great, but my meal was meh. The dessert(Tuesday is Free Dessert Night) was awesome, however. Not sure where it came from, but I got the peanut butter pie and it was GREAT. My companion enjoyed her fried calamari and her salmon entrée(which did not have a fishy odor, which was a good sign), so maybe I just chose poorly. It’s locally owned, which is a rare find anywhere anymore.

The highway construction gave the appearance it was closed and I wish it was. When I entered this large restaurant it looked completely empty, which says a lot and made me think twice about eating there. Honestly, if I had another choice I probably would have left but since I just walked there from the neighboring Holiday Inn Express and was really hungry I didn’t have too many options so I asked to be seated. Ambiance — The décor is an attempt of a seaside restaurant but it really didn’t work in this land locked location, especially so cheaply done. The only thing that was worse than the look was the music flowing from the sound system. Turned out the music was as bad as the food, and that’s saying a lot. Staff — Hostess was very friendly and quick to seat me but rather than dine alone in an empty room I took a booth in the bar area. My server/bar tender was equally pleasant, fast on service and willing to correct the errors with my meal. Both staff were friendly, attentive and honest. Example: When asked my server what was homemade the answer was straight forward. Answer: Other than the salad dressing and a few sauces nothing. Honesty means a lot but if she tried to hide it one bite would have said it all. Even a hobo would have been able to tell everything was reheated pre-cooked frozen food. Meal — I started my meal with the Fried Pickles and quite honestly they were the worst I ever had. They tasted as if they were in a freezer for years and was suddenly found just in time to be dropped into a fryer for my order. The result was bad, bad and bad. Trying to escape the misery I ordered the Fried Catfish but it tasted like an over cooked frozen shoe. Even the homemade sauce tasted terrible. Only slightly better were my sides. The Corn on the Cobb was flavorless and water logged as if it were cooked in a microwave. I definitely know second side, my baked potato was microwaved. When I received the shriveled potato, very indicative of microwaving from my years of being a bachelor, it lacked flavor and was stone cold, what the heck? Desert — Looking to find something other than the bottled beer to enjoy I ordered a slice of the Snicker Pie. It was good, just the way Sara Lee packaged it weeks earlier before loading it onto the trucks to supermarkets and eventually terrible food joints that lack a chef like this one. Overall — Other than the friendly staff at the hostess station and the nice lady who waited on me there was so many things wrong with this place I can’t possibly give it a good rating. In hind sight an order of scattered, smothered, covered, etc hash browns and a greasy order of eggs from the Waffle House across the street would have been a much better dinner compared to what I was served. My advice is to go elsewhere! You’ll be happier if you do, 1 Star.
