I always heard the term«Roach Motel» but unfortunately had my first ever experience these last few days at Days Inn located in Griffin, GA. My Husband and I were given a ground floor at the so called«recently renovated» hotel. We asked for a non-smoking room. The smell of musty smoke hit us as soon as we opened the door. I went to turn on the light and saw 2 roaches. One across the floor, the other going up the wall. Husband killed them and looked around and didn’t see any more. We thought ok, maybe the room hasn’t been used for a while. In the morning got up and took a shower. There were dead ants, spiders in the ceiling and wall corners. Also an empty shampoo bottle left in the shower. Left for the day, came back at night, and we had more visitors, this time when we turned on the light several roaches scattered, I know he killed at least 6. Next, husband went to pick up the phone to call the front desk. .there were 2 dead bugs on under the receiver of the phone. Needless to say, we are out of there, I still feel like somethings crawling on me.

Stay in another hotel if you are in the Griffin, GA area and need a place to sleep for the night. This Days Inn is the pits. Checked into my room after a long day of driving and found ants roaming around like they owned it. Not to mention the fact that the AC was warm/humid and was spewing out an odor not of this world. I was too tired to go looking for another hotel so I received another room as the MGR apologized. The new room had dead ants *stuck on the wall* from an obvious extermination. The AC worked and no bugs or pests were alive in the room so my kids and I crashed for the night. I will avoid all Days Inn’s in the future.
