Kmart Stores

Griffith is a cute little town and the downtown area is very welcoming and adding so many more local businesses and that is wonderful. This Kmart, however, is a hole in the earth and needs to just go away already. I’ll stop in for the Little Caesars, which is not bad, but the rest of the store is a disgusting, messy and rundown building. The staff is SUPER rude (especially the lady doing returns who looked at me like I was a criminal even though I had a receipt) who then proceeded to throw my return on the floor like it was trash (and you know that item is going back on the shelf). The cashiers are untrained and super slow and so are the registers which are super outdated and never work right. Don’t even get me started on the clientele… this is the reason I never want a bus stop in front of my house. I’ve never been more afraid to go into a store based on who was standing outside. Rumor has it the place is going to be demolished and I cannot wait for that to be confirmed. Will never step foot in Kmart ever again.

This Kmart is huge. I went in for some shoes and came out with much more. Of course it didn’t help they were having sales on practically everything I was interested in. Ha!
The store is well stocked (messy in some areas), but stocked. The place appeared clean. There was a much bigger selection than other Kmart stores. There is a food section and they also house a Little Caesar’s Pizza inside. Our checker was friendly & we got right through on a Saturday late afternoon with no issues. Very good service.

Where to even begin? As a child and young adult (not knowing much better) I thought KMart was the place to shop. Good deals, quality items, etc. But, in todays day and age, KMart isn’t what it used to be. Considering I only live blocks away from this location, I’ll go there in a pinch for forgotten laundry soap or light bulbs. But if I’m «SHOPPING» for anything much more than that you DEFINITELY won’t catch me in KMart. Not this location or any other one. This particular location has employees that are QUITE rude and inconsiderate. Aisles are always a mess and items picked over. Check out lanes are always backed up with snippy cashiers scanning slower than molasses drips. Customer service has flown right out the window here and that’s why I ONLY deem them usable «in a pinch». I don’t care that you have a rewards card OR that you carry Jacqueline Smith clothes. Whoopty doo! I’d rather spend more money on better quality items at another store and receive excellent customer service than to «save» at KMart. Sad KMart, very sad. Get your act together!

My mother always drags me to this place whenever I go visit.
Whenever we go around Christmas time, I’m thinking somebody shoot me now!!! Long lines, rude people, rude staff, and picked over items. I just don’t get why my mother like this f’n place. I mean you can a tin can of popcorn anywhere so why go to this dump.
I used to like Kmart as a kid, now that I’m grown I don’t know what the hell I was thinking. I’ll stick to Target thank you very much.

I like Kmart, I like the clothes and the prices are fine, but my gripe is no matter how busy the store is, you have one or 2 checkout lanes open! I have stood in lines 6 – 7 deep and then you have a price check going on, or someone with a bad check, always something. They need more lanes open. I spend more time in line than the actual shopping!
