Country Inn of Grinnell

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Good variety of foods at breakfast. Hot coffee in the lobby all the time. Comfortable bed, spotless bathroom. These folks get an A+! Also convenient to town. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel cares. It is a cut above the average in this part of the world. My room is clean, well equipped with comfortable beds, nice cotton bedding and a down comforter. It has real windows that open so I can sleep with fresh cold air at night. Needed something from the front desk. They brought it in 20 seconds. The walls are painted muted sage and green colors… very attractive and not typical. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. The walls were recently touched up with fresh paint… no skid marks on the walls. One really nice luxury is the little breakfast table in the room with two chairs so my wife and i can sit across from each other. Breakfast is hot and on par for complimentary breakfasts. The room rate was remarkable reasonable. You get a lot for the money here. There are three hotels in a row here and I suspect the competition has these places playing their A game all the time. One minor improvement is the housekeeping staff could keep the chatter down in the hallways in the morning. They stood out here as a noisy distraction in an otherwise quiet and calm environment. Liked the lending library of books and fresh cookies in the lobby. All and all a top rated experience.

Nice staff, clean hotel, plentiful breakfast options, AAA rate, free and good Wi-​Fi… What more could you ask for?!
