Had a dark chocolate ice cream without any add-ons. I am a chocolate lover so figured I couldn’t go wrong, as it looked like gelato quality in appearance. It was very bland if not slightly off-tasting. I only had a few bites, and one bite contained a small pocket of cocoa powder, so i assume that’s how they made it with just cocoa powder and watered down cheap ice cream. Definitely the cheapest quality ice cream I’ve had in a long time.

I’m giving it two stars because my ice cream was fine, but my husband’s was not. He got the dark chocolate ice cream and it tasted like it was made incorrectly. It had a watered down flavor and he even had a chunk of cocoa powder in it. For $ 11 we got one decent ice cream and one that had to be thrown away it was so weird tasting. Pretty pricey for a ice cream place, we won’t be going back.

Pretty standard Coldstone experience. I docked a star because the only thing that can be inconsistent at times is the staff. I’m hesitant to single out people because I go here often, but let’s just say some staff members are more efficient/friendly than others(and adept at handling long lines) and some staff members are also more generous than others ;)))). Will update the review once I’ve tried Sanders next door to give my two cents on the best ice cream in The Village/The Hill.
