This is about what you would expect out of a Dunkin’ Donuts. It is within walking distance of the Electric Boat factory in Groton. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are polite. What more could you ask for?

Horrible coffee between 12pm and 4pm everyday. It used to be ok just regular dd coffee but it’s bad now. The only reason I write this is because I told them about it and they haven’t fixed it.

Typically I’ve had good experiences with this particular Dunkin Donuts. Today was not one of those times. I ordered the egg white flatbread sandwich combo. It wasn’t until after I paid and waited that I was informed that there was no flatbread. They offered to put the egg on a difference bread, so trying to keep it healthy, I chose to have the egg put on a wraps(rather than a croissant or bagel). That wasn’t bad, but it was disappointing not to get what I ordered in the first place. I also realized while waiting that I didn’t receive a receipt(for work corporate card payments, I needed one); on the register, it clearly states that if you don’t receive a detailed receipt, your meal is free. So I waited while the crowd that had arrived cleared out and asked to speak with the manager. He rolled his eyes and said he’d get that for me. Yes, I got the receipt I needed, but didn’t receive any reimbursement or voucher to cover my next meal. I was now late and so tired of dealing with incompetence that I left. I will likely return, but they need to get their act together at this store or I will find another DD.

The best Dunkin Donuts in Groton. I’ve been underwhelmed with many of the local Dunkin Donuts but fortunately the one that’s closes to my house is the best in town. The only thing that’s missing is a drive thru, but that’s okay, it’s worth actually going inside. The staff are friendly and efficient, and when the whole city lost power these guys did the unthinkable and actually broke out the pencil and paper so they could keep doing business without their cash registers working.
