Had a great breakfast with the family. The restaurant is intimate and inviting. Try the Taco Omelet.

This was a great place to eat breakfast. The server was friendly, the food was more than reasonable in price for the huge serving you received. I am not sure what they out in the hash browns but boy were they tasty! Will definitely return when in this area again.

Great little diner. The menu might be small but everything is prepared well with fresh eggs, bacon, potatoes etc. additionally the staff is friendly, willing to make accommodations and changes as needed. They also have takeout. My favorites are the breakfast sandwiches on grilled bread or bagels or the dishwasher special.

Enjoyed several breakfasts here. Omletes and easy over egss were very good, and the coffee is good as well. Very nice atmosphere and service. The only knock I am giving is for the home fries that were only fair tasting every time.

Stopped in for breakfast on a recent Sunday morning after staying in Groton to visit the submarine museum on a road trip along the east coast. Service was fast and friendly, my blueberry pancakes were loaded with berries, and they had some interesting sounding breakfast specials for very reasonable prices — but those included way more food than I could eat. The owner(?) stopped to visit with customers. All in all, a good find!

Came here for breakfast on the way home from the casino. Had the breakfast sandwich with sausage. It was a giant English muffin with two eggs and cheese and a sausage patty on top and one on the bottom too. Absolutely delicious and the price was right.

This is our go-to place for lunch. With its close proximity to EB, it’s the perfect spot to duck into for a quick bite during the workday. They serve pretty typical diner fare, but there is a personality to this place that would be hard to find anywhere else. Margaret is the character behind the counter, and she’s always happy to see us. We usually order salads, but every now and again one of their lunch specials will speak to us and we’ll venture away from our regulars. The prices aren’t too shabby, either.

We absolutely LOVE Buford’s! The breakfast there never disappoints us and the service is fast & friendly. They are even great w/kids, providing us crayons and coloring books(which was very unexpected). If you are in the Groton area around breakfast time and looking for some good grub definitely give them a try!

Dicey is right. I’ve always loved diner breakfasts, but this spoon is just a bit too greasy. Butter was dripping off the toast — literally! Service was great and friendly, and I liked the local regular crowd, but the tab for 4(including 2 kids who split a meal) was $ 31. A little steep for this kind of fare. Still, if you don’t mind the grease, you won’t be disappointed.

I have a soft spot for divey breakfast places. I don’t know if I’ve just got low standards or what, but give me a cramped dining area where they serve you on a long counter and bar stools, and I’m a happy girl. To be fair, Bufords wasn’t cramped, although it did have a healthy amount of patrons on the Saturday morning I went. But it’s not the type of place you go to if you’re looking for ambiance or fancy menu items — it’s straight-up breakfast. Pancakes, omelets, coffee — everything that encompasses my favorite meal of the day. The food is good, nothing spectacular, nothing special, but hearty and filling. My eggs benedict tasted better than it looked, and if you’re into reubens, they serve a reuben inspired omelet — it even comes with thousand island dressing. The service was surprisingly fast since there was only one cook and one waitress working that morning. Everything on the menu, as one might expect, is affordable. They’re closed on Mondays and also serve a lunch menu but if you’re not into small diners that don’t aim to impress, feel free to go somewhere else. But if you’re in the area and you’re hungry, you might as well stop by.
