The hotel is definitely of the, «you get what you pay for», type. While the room was there, beds were clean, and view was nice, everything else sucked. The toilet was clogged twice during our one night stay, the staff just handed us a plunger and said«plunger, plunger» and offered no compensation. The windows opened but couldn’t close without you fixing the mechanical arm that makes it move. The furniture was either rusty, or torn open in spots, and at least for me, my mattress made me feel like I was sleeping in a canyon. It’s okay for a night if you don’t mind diy on some things. The staff were pleasant but unhelpful.

This was a good hotel. Stayed in a suite with living room, kitchen, hot tub, etc. it was nicely sized with a big window in the living room. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best with toast, bagels, cereal, and mini muffins, The front desk staff was nice. They provided menus for late night delivery. During my visit the elevator was broken, but it was only a short flight of stairs to walk up.

The rooms were big clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Late at the night the clerk helped us find a place to find food that fits my diet they gave us a late checkout and made us feel completely at home.

This hotel was alright. I just needed someplace close to Six Flags that was cheap and had big rooms with a fridge. When I went to book the room, I noticed they charged an «extra person» fee for each person beyond 2 adults. Yeah… right. What sane person isn’t going to book the room for two people and then sneak the others in the back door(which was not secured at all, by the way)? The room I booked was supposed to sleep up to six people, but I booked only for four. If a room sleeps six adults, why the extra fees? I don’t get it. The room was big, but very outdated. The TV in each room was one of the old tube sets that made a loud squealing noise the ENTIRE time it was on. For the sake of my ears and the environment, please upgrade to some flat screens! The beds were also super uncomfortable. For Christ’s sake… you’re a hotel. The purpose is for people to sleep there. I tossed and turned for most of the night, and woke up feeling like I slept on a brick. At least there were no bedbugs and there was free continental breakfast. Although it was mostly just mini muffins, donuts and toast. Yeah, not healthy at all, and there wasn’t a lot of it. I felt like an ass by taking two pieces of toast. I ended up having to go to Dunkin’ Donuts anyway.

I stayed here recently and found the hotel to be extremely clean, the people very friendly, and the beds comfortable. I have stayed at hotels and paid 4 times the price and not had nearly as clean a room. The facility is old, no question, but they spared no expense in maintaining the carpets in the halls and the rooms. The furniture was realtively current as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here whenever I return to the area.

I got snowed in at the airport and was told«It’s no palace, but it’s cheap and clean!» by a couple waiting in line at the airport with me. It was cheap and clean, the mattress was actually comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly. They were also really flexible with letting me cancel my reservation when I finally got a flight out. The shuttle will take you to/from the airport and also to grab something to eat close by. Great value for price. Would definitely stay there again.

Value for the money: Decent rooms at a reasonable price, close to the airport… I’m a repeat customer here, and I’ll go back the next time I have a late-night arrival or early-morning departure at Bradley. This Econo Lodge clearly does a lot of business from folks with late arrivals or early departures at Bradley Airport. The airport clientele would explain why they start their morning free breakfast service long before dawn, and why the desk clerk had a register of requested wake-up calls that started as early as 3 a.m. However, they don’t just serve the airport crowd. When I was eating breakfast in the lobby on my most recent stay, I was aware of a family in the lobby who apparently had been there for several days, enjoying the hotel pool and vacationing in the area. The main attraction here probably is the low price(not as low as Motel 6, but a whole lot less than most of the other hotels near Bradley). Efficient 24⁄7 shuttle service to and from the airport via the FasTrack parking shuttle is another big plus. Then there are those decent rooms — older but clean and in good repair, on interior corridors, with recently installed windows that can actually be opened and closed(and locked), and well-functioning plumbing, decent Wi-Fi signals, etc. And the staff — exceptionally knowledgeable, capable, and friendly, particularly for a hotel in this class. And don’t forget the quiet location — a block back from busy Ella Grasso Blvd., adjacent to a residential neighborhood. So why«only» 3 stars? Because it’s A-OK, but it isn’t exactly the lap of luxury — rather, it’s a place to sleep when I’m on the road. Breakfast is particularly basic — just muffins, toast, juice and coffee, served practically standing-room only in the tiny lobby.
