Moison Ace Hardware

Decent enough hardware store in the heart of ol’ Groton. The main entrance is on the side of the building, which isn’t immediately apparent upon pulling into the somewhat-​cramped parking lot. There’s more parking on the side of the building and it’s more open there.
We needed all kinds of random things — toggle bolts, hooks, cleaners, nails. We found it all here. It’s a good size for a local hardware store. Nothing looked old on the shelves — you know how sometimes in those smaller hardware stores they have like old browned packaged stuff on the shelves that no one buys? Not here. Inventory was recent and nice and new. It was busy, too.
I was surprised by the hours — we had gotten there at 1:45 and it was soon after when I was looking for something else, that the manager (who was helpful) also informed me to get to the register because they close at 2. OK. Thanks for the info! The hours are a little weird: Sundays are 10 – 2. Not that long but, long enough if you know you need something that day.
So yah I agree with the single other review here that the hours are off, but the people were nice and helpful and we got what we needed. Prices were totally fine, too.
