Pretty much the same as any Cracker Barrel: a bit of a wait to sit, friendly service, decent food, reasonable prices, a little boring. We were running errands and Sweetie wanted something from here, so we stopped in. Our waitress was very good even though they were busy. The bacon on Sweetie’s sandwich was blackened; seriously, far beyond crispy. I tried some and was put off by the charred taste, and you know I hate to waste bacon. A fresh batch was brought shortly. The rest of the meal was pretty good. Hers was some kind of breakfast sandwich, mine was buttermilk chicken breast with BBQ sauce and sweet potato fries. Everything was good, not great. For dessert we had strawberry shortcake, which was very good. Careful coming in off the highway; take the first turn if possible, or take the first light and work your way back through the neighborhood.

Typical food is always Great! The service at this particular Cracker Barrel is sometimes slow. High turn over. I still go because the food is great. And service although slow is still pleasant and polite.

Service was bad, food typical for Cracker Barrel. I came here with a group. We were seated in a decent time and got two servers. Took some time to get drinks then we all ordered. I got the fish and chips since it was on a Friday night special. The fish might as well have been chicken nuggets because it was so small. Me and another person in my group got the same and neither came with the regular coleslaw. We asked for it and the waitress brought back more tartar sauce. When we finally got it, it wasn’t worth the wait. The waitress also kept forgetting our biscuits. She claimed the kitchen was making some but never brought them. When she came with the checks and I asked again(because I love the biscuits) she said they were still cooking. Then surprisingly she came out later with them. I couldn’t imagine it took over 20 minutes to make a staple item like that. My guess is she likely forgot them.

After seeing a gazillion Cracker Barrels during our drive to and from Kentucky we gave in and stopped for lunch. Seems a very popular place for all age groups, all bearing take out containers on their way out. The man ordered the Swiss steak and the gal ordered the 6 veggie plate. Service was very friendly and prompt. Can’t go wrong for approx $ 10 pp for a quick lunch on the road. Service was quick and friendly.

One of the better Cracker Barrel’s that I have been to. Service was quick and courteous. The food tasted great, though it did taste just like your average Cracker Barrel food. The restaurant was very clean. What impressed me was the management. The managers that were working helped bus the tables, seat customers and clean up the place. Many managers just sit around and do nothing, but these managers seemed very proactive.

This isn’t the fanciest restaurant around but the serve good food and their prices are reasonable. And you never have a problem fining them since they’re always located just off the Interstate. So today I went over for dinner. I ordered their special which came with Three meats, and three sides plus biscuits and jelly. My choices were meatloaf, noodles and chichen, and country ham. For my sides, I got a whole(but small) baked sweet potatoe, grits, and fried apples. Whew! But I cleaned my plate!

I had the Sunday Fried Chicken dinner. I asked if there is a fried leg and thigh meal which there isn’t, but I still went with the order. I was expecting fried chicken on the bone, but this ended up being boneless/skinless chicken breast. Although the waitress and daily special chalk board only said«Sunday special fried chicken dinner», it does say«tenderloin» on the menu. I gave a 3 star benefit of the doubt rating, but what kind of «old country» restaurant doesn’t have real bone-in, skin on, fried chicken? The fried okra were okay and mashed potatoes needed salt. I ate a little of my son’s pancake which was wonderful.

I’d never been to Cracker Barrel before. I don’t know if I’ll come back. The menu is huge, which is awesome because there is something for everyone. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it came with three sides. I had mac and cheese, green beans, and mashed potatoes. The steak was good, but the gravy on top was pretty gross. Way too thick and not much taste. The only thing I finished on my plate was the green beans. The mac and cheese and potatoes were just ok. The dinner came with biscuits and they were just ok too. I know this is a chain, but I don’t really get the appeal. Maybe another time I’ll come for breakfast.

As far as restaurant chains go, it’s tough to beat the home-cooked taste of Cracker Barrel! I think that Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans run neck-and-neck for the best country-style restaurant chains. I have frequented this Cracker Barrel(among many others) for over 10 years now. I have yet to have a bad meal. I prefer their breakfast entrees, but enjoy most of their dinner entrees as well. If you like eggs, you’ll love Cracker Barrel. Whether it’s a large-stuffed omelet or an «over-easy» fried egg platter, the taste is unbeatable. The home fries are an excellent compliment. They’re also recognized for their fried chicken steak among many other fried foods which sets Cracker Barrel apart from most of its competitors. For dinner, I love their grilled chicken meals. They obviously marinate their chicken which ensures its juicy, flavorful quality every time. The choice of sides are plentiful. I prefer the string beans or any form of potato. This is good-eating, for sure. If you don’t live close to your grandparents and really need a good, home-cooked meal, drive on down to Cracker Barrel. It is a real treat. Don’t forget to check out their humongous gift shop. You can’t miss it. You have to walk through it to get to the hostess.
