Salad bar leaves a lot to be desired, used to be so much better. The plates are minuscule so less than half way down the line everything starts sliding off the plate, hence the mess that is there. Lettuce was brown. No more cottage cheese, no blue cheese crumbles. Honestly wasn’t worth $ 9. Husband got a steak that looked like a pork chop, meat was gray and mealy. Son liked his chicken tenders.

Took my mom here for lunch and we waited fifteen minutes before someone came and waited on us. They were out of everything including ribs. What restaurant has no ribs and no filet either? We barely seen our waitress at all. It took her five minutes to get me a knife. Food w as s ok but service is not.

So yeah… the food quality was predictable being that it’s a Ruby Tuesday. However, there was no way to possibly foresee that we would basically be spending our entire afternoon here waiting for our dinner. Therefore this Ruby Tuesday gets the distinction of being our very first one star review.

Average everything. Food, service, atmosphere. We go here once in a blue moon because we know it is never ever crowded when everything else on Stringtown Rd has a wait. It’s that«we’ve waited too long to make a proper dinner plan» place. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not the worst. There is simply better mid-range places.

Only once have I ever had poor service here. Even the cooks know me by sight and attempt to make something I’ll like. Don’t find that level of service much these days, especially not at a chain restaurant. The servers are also lovely. Usually I stop by after a long day of work, to unwind. They know I have a long drive home and never try to rush me out the door. If only the food was better. The salad bar at this location needs better maintenance. Lettuce is usually limp and food is scattered around the bar. Once upon a time, Ruby’s had this awesome veggie burger with a basil mayo. Well, they stopped using the basil mayo. Ok, fine. Guess I’ll make due with the more common condiments. But then they did away with the burger, replacing it with the«zucchini minis». They took a little getting used to, but the cook was kind enough to tweak them a little to improve the texture(they originally were kinda mushy) and created a chipotle mayo for them as well. But now those have been dropped from the menu. Agh! Ya know guys, I can’t be the only vegetarian dining out in these parts. Even one good veg entrée, decently priced, would ensure my returning. A veg soup would also be nice. By the way, thank you to the young man who created a yummy veg flatbed for me, once I’d discovered my usual items were no longer available on my last visit. That was above and beyond, and very much appreciated. For now, guess I’m limited to coffee and dessert. The tirimisu is actually quite good. Yes, it’s overpriced and premade. Has to be thawed before serving. But it has a good texture and an alcoholic bite that makes it interesting. Mmm. Not sure if this offer is still on the table, but they had been offering free coffee with dessert. Worth asking. For now, really only 2 stars are deserved, but service pulls that up a notch. People are really great here. I just wish their company gave them more to work with.

Pretty standard TGIF/Applebees type place. Our most recent trip wasn’t that great: slow service, even with a mostly empty restaurant. Food is pretty average. They are supposed to be famous for burgers, but the burgers are average at best, especially for the high prices. They are also known for their big salad bar. It’s not bad, but again, the service for refilling it was pretty slow on our recent trip. If you *really* want a bland restaurant-with-stuff-from-American-Pickers-on-the wall, then I’d recommend O’Charley’s if you’re on Stringtown Rd, or Red Robin if you want a good burger.

GUMBOTASTEOFF! A client wanted RT’s gumbo for a business lunch at his place. Being a total Cajun food snob I couldn’t imagine a chain could make a decent gumbo. So what did I do? I also ordered gumbo from a popular Cajun food joint, not to be named, ahem, in the short north. Bottom line all 6 taster, including myself, preferred RT. Nice flavor, good andouille usage, roux could have used depth but I was impressed enough to write this!

Disgusting. Two things happened that were inexcusable. One, the plates on the salad bar were covered in food! I’m not sure if the washer was broken or what, but there was dressing on THEM(yes, multiple dirty plates). Second, I had a strangely curly hair in my food. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. If this is what it looks like out front, the back must be horrifying.

my two roommates and i went to this restaurant tonight. Initially it seemed alright but once we ordered two of us went to the salad bar and it was a sloppy mess. Then when our food arrived we had to send a burger back because we ordered it well done and it came out medium rare. It wasn’t until after the rest of us were done eating that his food made it back to the table btw which was delivered by the waitress instead of the manager like most restaurants do. In fact the manager never made his way to the table until after i requested his presence. We received the bill and of course there were no adjustments made to compensate for the poor service. When i approached the manager concerning this situation he was very cold and brisk and very defensive and even threw the waitress under the bus by saying she was a part time asst manager and was more than qualified to have handled this situation. My outlook on this is when we were there to eat, her job was waitress and his job was manager. then he hatefully asked what he could do and i replied to take the burger of the check. He instantly replied in a very sarcastic tone oh take care of the check I can do that. i handed him the billbook back with enough to cover the bill minus the burger and a nice tip for the waitress. he comes back with the billbook and tossed it down, said have a nice night and darted off. when i opened it everything was still in it minus the receipt. This was obviously not done out of sincerity but with more of an insulting tone. This establishment is poorly ran and needs to update and improve the management style and update the food. This menu showed clear signs of having been conceived in the late eighties.
