We were without A/C for two 90+ days over the Labor Day holiday weekend. A knowledgeable neighbor looked at our outside unit and thought the compressor might be the problem. I learned that this might cost between $ 1,600 and $ 3,500 for the repair. I called Guaranteed Heating and Cooling and spoke to the business office. Tom, the serviceman of Guaranteed Heating and Cooling agreed to come to our house the same day. He diagnosed the unit and learned that it was only a blown capacitor. He replaced the old capacitor with a new one and even cleaned the unit. After the repair the A/C ran great and the total price with the holiday/weekend service call was only about $ 400. Very reasonable and we appreciated the quick response We are very thankful to Guaranteed Heating and Cooling and will call them again if needed as well as recommend them to friends in need of such services.

On my second service call from Guaranteed, they were 45 minutes late and I had to call to find out where the service person was. I found their suggestions for repairs on my hot water heater to be(a) uneducated(the repairman had to keep calling his supervisor for guidance) and(b) overpriced. A $ 1200 repair cost me around $ 300 to do myself. Guaranteed is batting .500 right now, not sure I’d recommend them anymore.
