Love the pizza but the service at this location is the worst. I drove from georgesville rd on 270 to their location. The whole time I was on hold waiting to order my pizza. No one picked up. I walked in the store. 3 employees, no customers waiting. Phone was still ringing where I was calling. 8 minutes. No one picked up. Kid finally says he can answer my call if I wanted. I wanted my call answered 8 minutes ago. He said they were«real busy». If you love their pizza and have a lot of time on your hands this is the place for you. If you don’t want to wait forever you might want to choose a different pizza shop.

From the cozy confines of the Alvis House work release jail which I currently reside due to an unfortunate DUI, I decided to order a pie. I was tired of the meals served here like tonight’s gourmet offering of sour kraut and sausage(cold soggy hotdog). Fortunately we are allowed to order food in, and Papa Johns seemed like an ideal choice. I was quoted 45 minutes which didn’t seem too bad. About 40 minutes later I hadn’t gotten a call yet on my cell number which I had previously furnished them with, so I decided to head up to the front control desk to lie in wait for my cheesy pizza baby. Upon arrival I immediately see the Papa Johns guy which I discovered shortly after, had been waiting for an extended period of time. I still tipped him well despite the fact that I had not received a call and I knew the pie would be a little lukewarm. Maybe because I’m an ex-Jimmy Johns driver.(«Ex» because I wasn’t that fast.) After I fought the other inmates off from my pizza with a broken broom stick I sat down on my bunk ready to indulge. Sure enough it wasn’t the hottest, but darn if even a simple pepperoni pizza isn’t the best at Papa Johns over the other pizza«big chain franchises.» The garlic butter sauce definitely helps! Ohhh that garlicky buttery goodness. I even put that stuff in my protein smoothies. Not really… But I would if I drank protein smoothies. I’m never disappointed in Papa Johns even if I do get a little freaked out at the Papa Johns commercials since Papa John looks like a cookie cut copy of my Dad.

Tasty, reasonably priced pizza. I especially love their 50% pizza deals. Not much you can say about good pizza.

I hate that Papa John’s is so tasty, because I don’t agree with their business practices. The sauce has excellent flavor. The crust is chewy. The toppings are super fresh. I always pick up my order and they are very friendly inside, the person at the counter will always let me sub my garlic sauce cup for pizza sauce cup(and occasionally will hook me up with more). They are very accurate with your order time and sometimes will get it done early so I won’t need to wait. In addition to the pizza, the cheese bread is awesome and the Parmesan garlic bread sticks are fluffy, toasted, warm, and great to dip in the pizza sauce.

I just love Papa Johns! Tonight I had the Buffalo Chicken pizza for the first time. It was really good. Better than I expected. I wanted something a bit different than I normally order and this was it. It wasn’t my favorite pizza from PJ but I might order it again. I wasn’t a fan of the bacon cheese sticks though. It just wasn’t for me, but I’ll eat them. But in general I order a pepperoni, beef and banana pepper pie and love it! I’ve had a few others and really enjoyed them. So all in all I still give Papa John’s a 5 star review. Their garlic sauce is the best I’ve ever come across, but I really don’t like the fact that’ it’s all hydrogenated oils. But It’ so damn good! *drool*
