Yum… the steak in the burritos has an amazing flavor. I explained it to my kids as it was so good it felt like we were eating a dessert for our main course.

New favorite place! First, the chips and homemade salsa… I can’t even… The salsa was so fresh it was like it came straight out of the kitchen. Perfect temp, pronounced flavors and the chips were nice and light. Not greasy at all. Next comes the albondigas soup… Wow! We ended up saving it for tomorrow’s lunch it was that good. Fresh chopped veggies and what appeared to be hand made meatballs and the broth made the perfect combination. Then comes the Mexican pizza. Now, you have to know that this is what I get at EVERY Mexican restaurant so that I can compare. This, by far, was the best I’ve ever had. Fresh refried beans, sliced jalapeños, tomatoes, sour cream, black olives with shredded beef and cheese?! Stop it! Then the chicken enchilada and shredded beef taco, rice and beans… Holy crap. Let’s just say we were so full and satisfied that it should have put us in the hospital. Will I go back? Uh… let me think… YES! ASAP! Would I recommend this place to friends? Absolutely! All in all, a very authentic Mexican restaurant. Very pleased!

Best Mexican Restaurant in all of San Luis Obispo County! Try their Carne Asada tacos with chopped onion and cilantro and the most delicious suiza sauce. Tonight my husband decided to ask for a chili relleno with suiza sauce. It is his new favorite.

Everything is always great. The food, customer service, portion sizes, everything. The people who work here are always so nice and welcoming. I eat here once a week and they’ve never made a mistake on an order. I LOVE their salsa! Their chips are homemade and always warm. The food is reasonably priced. You’ll love it here! I always do!

Pretty sure my taco shells were premade and my bowl of guac was strait squeezed out of a bag. But other than that. Food was decent.

Had beef tacos — excellent as was the service and surroundings. Good chips and salsa not too spicy. Would definitely recommend.

It was nice of them to keep open for my family and I, as they were starting to close at 9pm. We had ordered a couple of margaritas(small portioned) to have as we ordered a to go.(Unsure if they wouldve enjoyed us staying any longer than we did.) We had ordered a combo 2 shrimp taco plate came with rice, beans, and soup which all was VERY disappointing! 2 a la carte fish tacos; ended up with both shrimp. WEARE right next to the ocean and sadest part is; Habaneros seafood in Bakersfield, CA is far better! The kids mexican pizza was the best part of our meal. Defiantly not worth $ 54. more like $ 20!

I have a vacation home here and we order take out Mexican food often from this restaurant. mwhen we are in town. The dining area looks like a fast food place, but service and food are very good. Nothing fancy, but if you want quick great food I think this may be the best place in Glover Beach for Mexican food.

We have been eating here for years, and we live in Oceano. There are literally 3 Mexican restaurants within 2 blocks of our house, but none compare to the level of friendly service as Jalepeno’s. This is a family run restaurant, and you can taste the love in every dish. Normally I would recommend a certain item, but with this place, you can’t go wrong. They keep the chips and salsa flowing freely, but make sure to save room for the main course.

This is a great find. The rice and beans were excellent. refried beans the way they should be done, the way you can’t find in too many places. I had the chile verde burrito, wet. It was fantastic the pork was moist, the chile verde sauce was perfectly done, just a hint of spice. The restaurant was super clean and the staff was super friendly. I’m coming back!

The food is great. The salsa is very flavorful and the chips are never stale. I typically get the chimichanga with shredded beef or the Asada burrito. The nachos are also pretty amazing. The staff are always attentive and very nice.

STAYAWAYFROMTHEMARGARITAS! I didn’t really expect a whole lot from this place, but c’mon! Margaritas are easy to make… it’s really not that hard! Mine was so gross that I couldn’t drink it. The food was mediocre. We both ordered from the lunch specials menu. Husband got a taco and cheese enchilada, I got a chile relleno. There were seeds in my chile relleno, and Sean said his food was«okay». Service was decent. They were fairly busy so we weren’t doted upon, but we weren’t ignored either. Their saving grace was the fried ice cream. I have nothing to compare it to as I’ve never before ordered the dish, but I thought it was super yummy!

Meh. Watery refined beans, green sauce with a hint of cinnamon over the bean burrito was off, chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I wasn’t impressed. My kids weren’t either and started acting up as they became disinterested in the food. Cute little place though. The horchata and beer was good! They don’t make either of that do they?

I finally went back for dinner. Amazing service and great food. After eating the perfect chilirelleno I got the shrimp cocktail to go. One of the best I’ve ever had. Our server was tired from a long day but sucked it up and was very attentive. My favorite mexican food place.

The central coast has trouble with Mexican food restaurants. I’ve lived here my whole life and had never had a favorite so I’ve been trying different ones and this one has been one of the good ones! The salsa was the only thing I didn’t like… WAY too many onions & not spicy enough. Although it’s not 100% authentic, the enchiladas suizas I had were delicious! I have to mention too, we went in at 8:30ish & they close at 9pm. *shoutout for actually being open & not making us feel awkward being there until 9pm. GREAT customer service!
