The best street tacos in SLO. This place is extremely authentic, open late and it’s very clean. The litmus test in street tacos are the carnitas… This place has the best… And I’m from San Jose

Best lunch place if you don’t care about calories, love good Mexican and are cheap. Yep, that pretty much describes me. I will admit I was VERY skeptical the first time I walked in and saw all that meat on the warming table. I envisioned myself with a «stomach thing» about 12 hours later. But, I ordered the carnitas anyway. And then I knew why the warming tray– the stuff turns over so fast, it doesn’t have time to sit there. The carnitas are so fresh and yummy. I am lucky enough to have lunch with my hubby every day. We usually split a torta because it’s huge and would go to waste if we weren’t sharing. $ 10 bucks out the door for 2 people. Better than fast food!

Local taco shop, and where I had my last dinner on a fun, active vacation. I ordered the shrimp fajitas burrito, which was yummy. The refried beans were a little too runny though, and some lettuce or pico de gallo would perhaps make the burrito more tasty. But it was a delicious, and would go back if I am in the area.

Start It Off With Lengua Taco followed By A Carne Asada Burrito, Is The Way Only Way To Go!!!

Our family of four tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. All four of us were very disappointed. The key reason was the low quality of beef used in the carne asada. About 25% of the meat in my burrito was too fatty and un-edible. We won’t be eating here again.

I ended up ordering Tacos Carne Asada with«everything» as this is how it was offered to me, since they were out of Al Pastor by 6:30pm. The Asada was the best part of the dish, good quality meat, well seasoned and tender. I was unimpressed by the Verde and Red sauces. I found these a bit bland and had to rely on the white onions for my spicy kick(not the greatest trait of white onions.) Overall the tacos met the craving, but I won’t go out of my way again to stop by this place. Environment: the bathroom was decently maintained and didn’t ruin my appetite from the start. Service: very friendly staff, moderately busy. Took 15 minutes to pump out my order and the 16 orders before me.

This place is so good. The shrimp fajita burrito and veggie fajita burritos are my favorite. Fresh, yummy Mexican food at good prices. Probably my favorite Mexican place in the area. The staff are always nice too :)

We were planning to visit Los Tamales Poblanos in Oceano but they were closed for no apparent reason. So we decided to try Tacos de Acapulco. Since you have to order at the counter, we decided to do take-away. We both got Burritos, Jack chicken and I al pastor. Unfortunately they were out of pico de gallo. Really? A taqueria? Also there were no black beans available. As a result of the former, the burritos lacked any freshness. Despite salsa, they were dry and pretty flavorless. And to top it off, there were four chicken bones in Jack’s. No, thank you!

One of my favorite places for Mexican food in south county. They have everything and it is all made fresh. More of a walk up bar style and no table service here but the food in this place is fantastic. You have to stop in here if your in the area. You won’t be sorry!

This is our go to spot for Mexican food when we want order at the counter style. You put in your order to the cashier and then when it’s your«time» the guy calls you up to finish making your food. Sometimes the carne asada has fatty pieces, which I don’t like. Overall is pretty good though and we keep coming back. They have a wide range of menu choices and I don’t think I’ve tried anything that wasn’t good. For the most part I think it’s mostly local people here because it is off the beaten path. Prices are average to a little high.

Got a carne asada burrito. Flavor was good! My friend got a big piece of bone in her burrito but other than that our trip here was fine. They take your order then call you up about 10 minutes later then ask how you want your food. A little weird but they’re quick to make it. Their green sauce is made with avocado so it was a little different but good. They’re a bit stingy with their salsa, gotta keep asking for more but I would go back if needed

Great hole in the wall Mexican place! Definitely a goto… Started going as a teenager and continued! The food is consistently good, you know what they ate doing because you can see them make everything. I live the pollo verde and carne asada… The tortillas are fresh made and delicious.

Most AUTHENTIC Mexican Food outside of Mexico!!! I’ve been to SO many Mexican restaurants of EVERY type and Tacos De Acapulco TOPSALLOFTHEM! No Kidding At All! The Service is GREAT — SUPER nice people work there, all is homemade. .. man, tasty, tasty, tasty — this is the place to go if you want AUTHENTIC Mexican Food. If you want just the regular schmo-type Mexican food where they throw a couple of enchiladas, beans and rice on a plate, go to any other place, but for GREATTASTING and truly authentic Mexican food and TRULY delightful people that work there, I HIGHLY recommend Tacos De Acapulco! I eat there all the time. If I don’t, I buy to take out and eat at home since I live close by! You MUST go!(I mean, You GOTTA give it a try, it’s the BEST of the BEST!!!)

Safe to eat– my belly tells me right away when it’s questionable food or preparation. Deliciousness factor: 6 out of ten Speediness: 7 out of 10 Prices: Pretty close to average Cleanliness:(Possible ratings: wow, pretty good, okay, fair-iffy and yikes) So, pretty good from the customer vantage point. Although food preparer does not wear gloves, they haven’t scratched themselves in the questionable zones. Overall value: pretty fairly good(hedging my bet) As far as ability to sate the craving for Mexican food: Pretty fairly not bad :)
