This has become my go-to library because of the location. The staff is always SO nice and helpful. If they don’t know the answer to something, they will find someone around them to make sure you get an answer. I also love that you can look on the website and have books sent from all over to the closest location. So convenient! Their movie selection is great with a lot of newer movies and quite a few TV series. I haven’t gone to an event or anything, but their calendar is very visibly posted and they always have stuff going on. It’s not a large branch by any means, but I love it! I just found out today that they take book and movie donations, which is also pretty awesome!

I grew up in Grovetown, as an avid reader. And man oh man, did I love this place. I can still remember renting(well getting my parents to rent) VHS’ for me back in the day. And, eventually, when I got old enough to rent my own DVDs, I took serious advantage of that, too. There’s a decent DVD selection, and I believe you can check out 3 at a time. They have workshops, show and tells, movie nights, story time, author events, and art displays. Back in the day they had a few reptiles brought back in, for some sort of zoo thing. I can’t believe I remember that, since it must have been more than 10 years ago… Anyways, there’s a small reading section for kids to read books, with little tables and chairs. There’s also a teen/YA reading section right next to that, and then an area where there’s a recent magazines and newspapers, and a few strategically placed chairs are there as well. I’ve almost always found the books I’m looking for, so the Library isn’t a tiny one, it’s a pretty good size. Parking lot is small, but I’ve never had an issue with parking there before. There’s a book drop off section, where you can drive right past the door, for easy access, and a waiting area near the parking lot in case you’re getting picked up by someone. The employees are friendly and enjoy catching up with you, if you’ve been going long enough to be known, like me and my family has. The location is great for us, since it’s only about a 5 minute drive from our house, and in a relatively quiet area. It’s a great library, especially for such a small town as Grovetown is. Hopefully it will be able to expand as the population increases, and can keep accommodating the little town’s needs. I can only hope more little boys and girls are taken here at an early age, to learn the benefits and creative freedom that reading can instill.
