Lights of the south is always a holiday paradise. A Christmas within a Christmas. Where ever you are from stop in. You won’t regret this Christmas experience. Its a small reminder of what Christmas is about.

I was very very disappointed. Do not waste your money. There were limited lights and everything was over priced!!! I will never go again!!!

We go every year… the new travel cups are very nice. The hot chocolate is worth the drive. My wife and kids love it. we had burgers and fries. Very good. I used the walking trail a few years ago, no troubles at all… my kids went nuts, all the lights on the hay ride made them scream with excitement several times. I don’t understand any of these negative statements. We love roasting the marshmallows and making the s’mores. We will be going back next year.

Do not waste your money. The lights are out on most of the displays, the ride is short and overall it is seriously lacking skill. The restaurant looks pretty gross. Use the money you would spend here for a trip to Charleston and the James Island County Parks display of the Festival of Lights.

Very disappointed this year. Stood in line for over an hour, so many people in line. They did away with the walking trail so everyone had to wait to ride. Children were crying, restless and tired of the wait. I saw several children that didn’t even make it to the ride it took so long. The children behind us were so restless they kept bumping and hitting us. Not sure if we will go back. Our family has been for the past 7 years but may try to find something different next year, really hate that because we like to support local business.

Lights of the South offers a charming experience during the holiday that give families an opportunity to hay ride through a Forrest of lights. Who knows, you may see Santa! — $ 8.75 admission for adults — Treat shop with amazing cider — Large fire pit to keep warm — Optional walking trail — Watch for mud in the rain! The Spirit of Christmas is all around at Lights of the South the closer it is to the end of December. You’ll experience all the joys of holiday attractions, even screaming children. While this attraction may not be for everyone, I recommend you visit once for the experience. Remember he who has no Christmas in his heart will never find Christmas under a tree.

Highly recommend by friends, I was very disappointed. The lights were pretty, spectacular through the eyes of a 3 and 4 year old. The highlight is a hayride to see the various light installations, which consisted of Christmas and Christian themes, unlicensed Disney and Marvel characters, and copious Americana. Outside of that came the disappointment. There were lines for everything and the only one that moved quickly was for the hayride. Definitely come early in the season and as early as possible in the evening while still dark(this place seems to have the bar-like quality of lost luster during daylight). Even though there were almost exclusively families with children the place is NOT non-smoking. Also keep an extra hand on the little ones if you are in the path of the hayride — the tractors roll right through the crowd.

It was $ 8.75 for admissions and a hayride around a trail to see the lights. Unfortunately, to do the Christmas tree Maze it is an extra $ 3. There are bonfires you can bring marshmallows to roast! Good as a one time trip but I wouldn’t do it next year.
