The girls try to be nice which is why I gave 2 stars but operationally this place stinks. My mistake for not reading the fine print before signing a silly tanning contract. Today I walk in to cancel my contract and they say I’ve had a balance on my account since January, so «technically» I can’t tan or cancel until it’s paid. I’ve tanned dozens of times since January. And to top it all off she tells me I can still tan as much as I want this month since I’m paid up. Wait a minute girlie? Can I tan or can’t I? So now I have to wait 4 days for a manager to be at the salon so I can go back and sign a cancellation contract. And hope I don’t owe a balance. I’ve indoor tanned for 15 years and have never seen it run like this. Somewhat careless staff. Don’t bother calling, no one will pick up. Not worth the hassle. There has to be a better tanning salon in Albany.

Spray tanned my 15 yrs. old for $ 33. w/out parental consent. The tan did not take and her whole body was blotchy. My daughter called to get a refund and was told she could have a courtesy tan. I did not want her to have another tan… or the 1st tan but that’s another story. When I called to speak to the manager the girl who answered the phone was rude and said she would have the manager call me back. When the manager returned my call, I was told they do not offer refunds because it was a cash transaction. I then asked to speak to the Owner or District manager. The manager said she would have Mike call me. She would not give me his full name because Mike doesn’t like his name to be given out. Then 15 minutes later I got a call back from the manager stating that Mike was too busy and had too much going on to speak to me. Too busy for customer service Mike? That’s just BAD business! My daughter should not have been allowed to tan in the salon without parental consent. When I stated this to the manager she said anyone can spray tan because there are no chemicals in a spray tan… This is sooooo untrue. Even the organic spray tans have chemicals in them. Needless to say I will be filing a complaint w/the Better Business Bureau. Thanks for your time Mike!

Just signed up for a club membership yesterday. Gonna tan more often ;) They provide the sticker eye wears free of charge, with them I can avoid leaving tanning lines around my eyes.

I write this having just returned furious, yet again, from St. Croix Tan. What an awful place. St. Croix Tan is extremely close to my apartment. Therefore, I’ve been going there on and off for three years. Most times I go, I end up leaving and thinking«WHYDID I GIVETHESEHORRIBLEPEOPLEMYBUSINESSYETAGAIN?!» Needless to say, I’m moving in a few weeks, so that’s given me a great excuse to never go there again. Let me list some of the reasons why this place is horrendous: 1) They once changed the bulbs without telling me. I went in for 7 minutes(in a bed with a 20 minute maximum time) and literally could not sit down the next two days because I was so badly burned. Thank god I only went in for 7 minutes, because if I stayed in any longer, there is no doubt in my mind that I would have ended up in the hospital. I mean, I ended up blistering because of this burn. I went back the next day and told the person working that the manager should really have the employees advise people if the bulbs have been changed so people know not to stay in so long. She looked at me like I had three heads, and then asked me how long i was going to be going in for at that point. I was the color of a beet. Come on, chicka, I’m OBVIOUSLY not getting into a tanning bed again. This did happen over a year ago, however, so whether or not they warn people now, I have no idea. If they do, you can all thank me… perhaps I made a point! 2) I then switched to mystic tanning. My bill was messed up numerous times. I don’t know why. To this day, I don’t know why. BUT, despite my requests for clarification, none of the employees were able to help me. The manager was never available and, when I asked if they could leave her a message and have her call me, I never gota response. 3) Just went to use up my final mystic tan in my package, as I’ve decided to start going to Miami Sun, which is MUCH better. I waited 40 minutes to mystic tan. There was no one ahead of me. They obviously forgot I was sitting there. When I went to the counter to ask how much longer I would have to wait, I was snidely informed«there was someone in there that just took a long time, it’ll be ready soon.» No apology, and then within 25 seconds, I was able to go in. Me thinks you forgot about me, you rude rude girl. YOUCOULDHAVEATLEASTSAIDYOUWERESORRY! They earned that one star for the fact that it’s clean. That’s it. That’s the only redeeming quality of this place.

Clean, friendly staff, towels and jolly rancher provided, and never a wait. I have been tanning at this location for 8 years. The prices are reasonable, and the bulbs are great. They actually keep up on them so you always get good color. I’ve tried a few other places and no where else do I get the color that I have. They also run specials every so often and if you are an EZ-Pay member occasionally you’ll get free upgrades in a level above the one you pay for! This is the tanning place to be :)
