Madison location: slip said Thursday after 5 and arrived on Thursday at 5:10 for pick up. Was told the clothes were just dropped off and I would have to wait. All 4 pairs of pants had to be found and bagged and was then told for a second time that I should wait till after 5 to pick up! I was there after 5. No credit or debit payments unless they call Guilford and read my info over the phone. Both ladies on drop off and pick up were borderline rude. Another dry cleaner will get my future business.

For years I’ve been coming to Crystal Hanger. Not only have I had exceptional service, I’ve been treated like family. I come in everyone greets you with a smile and a hello. Every time I have a request for quick service the owner never turns me away, and even when I couldn’t carry out my living room rug to be cleaned by them he sent a worker to pick up and deliver for me. For someone who appreciates great work and exceptional service Crystal Hanger is the place to go

My husband and I started using Crystal Hanger when we moved to Guilford 7 years ago. Never had a problem with service — the owner was always super nice to me, and gave me a few freebies from time to time, as I was in there at least once or twice a week with multiple garments. Then I changed jobs, and the need for their weekly service went away. A month or so ago, I dropped off our comforter for a good cleaning. They promised delivery six days later. I came in a week later, and was told the comforter was too big for their dryer and had to take it to their sister location in Branford. No big deal, right? I called three days later to see if it was in. Nope. I was told it was still in Branford, but was given the additional vague answer that it would be ready in a «day or two» and was promised a phone call when it was ready. I called again two days later, and was told again it wasn’t ready. Another phone call a day later. Still not ready, except this time I was told they could only clean «five comforters a week» and they were «cleaned in the order in which they were received». I was never told that when I dropped it off. If I had known that, I would have made alternate arrangements with a cleaner that could have it ready in a reasonable amount of time. At this point, I was completely fed up and just wanted the comforter back, clean or not. I finally called back the next day, a full two weeks after I dropped it off, and was told by the owner of the Branford store (who was in Guilford that day) that the comforter was now in East Haven and would be ready on Monday. I requested the comforter be brought to the cleaners that day so I could just have it back. He refused. I asked again, and told him I would pick it up in East Haven. Again, he refused. I had had it, and lost my temper. Instead of trying to calm me down, apologizing for their mixup, or something else to demonstrate good customer service, he yelled back and verbally threatened me. I ended the call. I don’t need to be threatened by anyone. Finally, after over two weeks, someone called to let us know our comforter was finally ready. I sent my husband to pick it up, as I didn’t want to set foot in there. I will never, ever go there again for any reason. Shame on the owner of the Branford store — he is a repulsive human being.

Will not go here again. Was told items that I dropped off thursday would be ready 5 pm Monday. Went in at 6:30 Monday. Initially the girl behind the counter couldn’t find my items, and when she eventually found them, my suit (which I needed for mtg next day!) not ready. When I picked it up 2 days later, girl at counter refused to give me any sort of discount. Bad customer service and unreliable. Very disappointed by first (and only) experience here.

Great people. Slow service. Moderate pricing. Decent job

I had a difficult request for a last minute service, and although they weren’t able to accommodate me, the owner called other cleaners until he found someone who could. Excellent customer service.

Very professional and friendly service. They were able to remove tough ink stain out of my sport jacket. Amazing!
