BUYER BEWARE! You only receive one hour of battery life, regardless of how many hours you rent a funny car.
The funny car rental options are 1, 2, 4, 8, or 24 hours (prices are currently $ 39, $ 63, $ 93, $ 123, and $ 156 respectively). After purchasing a two hour rental (in cash), the owner told us that the battery would only allow for ONE HOUR OF DRIVE TIME so we would have to stop and sight see the rest of the time or have lunch somewhere. Since we just wanted to drive around, we ended up returning the car after only one hour (even though we paid for two), since the battery was nearly dead. After dropping my guests back at their hotel, I returned to discuss this with the owner. I asked him how he could rent the cars for 2 – 24 hours when he could only provide one hour of battery! He said people often stop off for lunch or sight see, so they only need one hour of battery. What? Why would someone pay this much money per hour to park the car in some parking lot? I told him that he was flat out taking advantage of his patrons. He continued to give his previous response and asked why I was letting this bother me so much.
As a new resident of Pensacola Beach, I had planned to give this small business more of my business — since I will regularly host out of town guests, but I will never patronize this place again.
