The food looks good but I tried to go at 7:30pm and they were closed. The menu says they several dinner until 9. I will try one time to give them a chance.

Better than average, for sandwiches at lunch. I wouldn’t compare the roast beef and gravy po boy to any of the same variety that I’ve had from dozens of places in Louisiana, but it was okay for Santa Rosa County Florida. The shrimp were breaded and fried perfectly. Service was good. Red beans and rice were mneh… I’ve had better in Montana.

One of favorites. Casual dining with great fresh seafood. Look forward to it every year.

My wife and I visited JT’s a little before closing on a Wednesday night. We are from Dallas and I will tell you that my wife is a little bit of a food snob. Because of that, I don’t usually get to eat dinner while we are on vacation at a place without a well known chef or at least, great food snob reviews. JT’s had the best fried snapper, with the lightest and best crust I have ever had. It was so delicate, it didn’t taste like any of the fried seafood I’ve had before. The gumbo and red beans and rice were great. Thank you Michael and staff for a great and memorable inexpensive dinner.

Went for lunch today, at 11:45 am on a Tuesday, they no redbeans and rice, no fish, no oysters, waited over 15 minutes for a shrimp poboy shimp and sandwich very small, bread was not fresh, no AC. I lived in New Orleans for 10 years and this was not very good everyone was waiting for food, and on top of everything it was expensive for what you got. Don’t waste your money till they get it right

First time here. The best red beans and rice I’ve ever had. Truly. Was a meal by itself. Owner was in the building as well and very appreciative toward every visitor.

Had a cup of gumbo today and it was GREAT! I ordered it several months ago and it left a lot to be desired. Not sure why I even ordered it again, but SO glad I did. Gumbo had a little kick, plenty of meat — very happy with it. The roast beef poboy w/extra gravy could be straight from Johnny’s PoBoy in New Orleans — Great job guys!

Have eaten here twice. Recipes are authentic New Orleans. Red beans and rice is offered as a side with all poboys(never seen this before) and they are great. I am a gumbo snob and would rank their gumbo as probably the best I have eaten in the local area. Seafood platters are huge. Seafood is sourced locally and you can tell. These guys are not pretenders. If you like New Orleans style seafood, JT Best is a must.

Excellent customer service and friendly personnel. Also their gumbo is on point. Going to make this place a regular spot.
