Americas Best Value Inn

We stayed here on a road trip break, so, just looking for a place to sleep with free breakfast.
As soon as we get to the lobby, I see a fellow guest who looks as though they are renting the room by the hour. I also notice the lobby door locks, leaving access by way of a speaker box and oddly-​angled slot for a money do, as you might see in rough neighborhoods. Except, we know this isn’t a rough neighborhood. Okay…
The room looks nice enough, with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc. I laid in the bed to get off my feet for a few minutes, and very soon saw some kind of bug that was not an ant nor a spider scurry from the top of the fridge to the ground, along the side of it. I let it pass, being tired, but then saw another bug crawling along the top of the fridge under the microwave not even ten minutes later. Maintenance was called, and came with bug spray quickly.
The ball from the ball & loop lock was shorn off the door. Lotion bottle was leftover from previous guest. Bathtub took over 15 mins to drain after a shower. TV is old, with lines appearing all over the screen. Door & bathroom walls, painted white, have grime on them, and dirt apparent in the carpet along the walls. Table too small for normal use. Desk chair fabric sliced open at several spots. No free outlets by beds for charging phones etc. Breakfast a sub-​par attempt at re-​heated and make-​your-​own fare.
You get what you pay for. For what it’s worth, I slept fine.
Edit: Also located directly under the landing path for the air force base. Super loud…

I checked in at about 11pm and the night auditor was very attentive. Better than most, unlike some of the other abvi’s where they seemed to of just woken up.
Rooms are extremely well kept. Newly renovated. New carpets, bedding, and granite counter tops in the restroom. The tv’s are flat screen, and there is a microwave and a fridge in each room. Furniture doesnt seem to be new, but they arent run down either.
Breakfast is included, and its a hot breakfast. Again, better than most continentals provided at other abvi’s. I cant comment on the quality, as i went to the krispy kreme’s next door because im fat.
Overall good service, clean property, good amenities, good breakfast, good rating.
