I’ve been to this Applebees more in the past week than I have been to any Applebees in the last couple years. Sure it’s convenient because my hotel is across the street, but, it’s also because of the service! Abigail is the best ever! Super friendly, super nice, super employee. HaHa! Manager Gary is leading his crew into the right direction. Thanks for the service guys!

I’ve had so many bad food experiences with this chain that I quit going for years. But since gulfport is incredibly lacking in decent restaurants with edible food, we decided to be adventurous and try this location. Surprise surprise! It was actually pretty good! I had a mudslide that was huge and tasted the way it should. Not too sweet and not too milk heavy. For an appetizer we had the sweet potato fries with 3 different sauces. Two were good. The cream cheese one? Uhh not so much. For entrée I had the shrimp n parmesan steak with veggies n garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered my steak medium rare-I got my steak medium rare! Very tender. Lots of flavor. Shrimp n parmesan was very good. Veggies were crisp and brightly colored with good flavor as well. Garlic mashed potatoes were ok too. Overall it was a nice dining experience. Waitress was pleasant. Not over attentive and not MIA which is how we prefer. We’ll be back. I loved that mudslide!

I’ve always enjoyed Applebee’s, but my last visit was horrible. The appetizer was cold. When the server brought our meals she told us they were wrong and asked if that was okay… If you know the order is wrong before it even leaves the kitchen, fix it.

I know it’s hard to say anything nice about a restaurant chain, but here I go! I’ve been going to this location for three months now — always on a Wednesday evening. Why? Because the bartender Abigal is amazeballs and has become one of the people I look forward to seeing when I’m in Gulfport for business. The food’s been consistently good as well. Why not 5 *‘s you ask? Well — it is a chain… but out of the ones I’ve been to this is my favorite!
Happy Hour isn’t too bad either!

I have not been to Applebees in a long time and I will say that I was pleasantly surprised at the great service and excellent food. I ordered the standard 9oz steak and baked potato with steamed veggies. The steak was very tender and cooked to perfection as I requested medium done. The only thing with the meal is that I asked the waiter to substitute my veggies for a side salad. He said yes but it would cost $ 1.49 extra, I said ok. Well I still received my steamed veggies along with the side salad. In other words, no substitutions. Overall, I enjoyed the evening without having to worry about how much or whether I should even tip the service.
