I love this place, Tom has been doing my hair for almost ten years now, I don’t go anywhere else for my hair needs. They cover everything in my appointment and are really good about getting you in last minute when you need it. Also, the hair washing is the best part :)

We were passing through town on vacation & my boyfriend decided he needed a haircut. I found this place on Unilocal & we weren’t disappointed. While he got his haircut I had my toes re-painted. They were able to get us in quickly without an appointment and were incredibly friendly & professional. His hair & my toes looked great when we left.

I am visiting the area for a couple of months and desperately needed to get my roots done. I wasn’t sure where to go so I read reviews of local salons here on Unilocal and decided to go with this place. I was very happy with my experience! The décor and feel of the salon is relaxing and clean. Kim did my hair(full foil highlight and lowlight with cut) and she did a wonderful job. The staff is friendly and they offer an array of services.

I’m new to the area and I am VERY picky about who I let cut my hair! While out shopping for school clothes with my 5 year old son, a woman complimented me on how long my hair was. It goes half way down my back, a bit below my shoulder blades. I told her thank you and asked if she knew any where I could go that did a good job and wasn’t to pricey! This was the 1st place she recommended… after doing some research on my cell, I figured I would go check it out! I got there after 530 and they only made me wait about 10 minutes or so(since I was a walk-in). By the time they finished my shampoo, cut, an dry it was only 615! This place is amazing on service, advice, and atmosphere!!! Love it!

After doing my usual Google search to find a salon(since I’m new to the area), I found Azalea Spa & Salon. It had some good reviews and it wasn’t too far from my home. And I was able to make an appointment for after work, at 5:30. The salon was gorgeous, open, and busy. I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to see my new stylist, Kim. Because I was new, we talked about what I usually do with my hair(not much because I work in a lab and I don’t really know what to do anyway). We reviewed my likes and dislikes with past haircuts and Kim explained what she would like to do with my shoulder-length, fine, wavy hair. At this point in my life, I am more than happy to turn the reins over to the professionals. I did mention that I wanted to be able to pull it back into a short ponytail, or at the very least, pin it back out of my face for work. Kim was happy to oblige. During my shampoo and condition, she explained that I should wash in warm and rinse in cool water to keep down the frizzies. The best way to do this was by turning down the hot water knob in the shower so as not to shock myself. That sounded doable to me. During my cut and style, Kim kept up the suggestions for applying product, blow-drying, and styling. She fixed my hair very nicely and explained how to do it myself. I don’t have whole lot of time in the mornings to do it like she suggested everyday, but she was cool with that. As with every salon experience, she pointed out the different products she was using in my hair. I have a bin full of them at home and didn’t really want to buy more at the moment. Kim wasn’t pushy with her sell and I appreciated that. Because I have medium length hair, my haircut(with tip) was $ 45. Longer or shorter hair and different styles have different prices. I’m not a fussy person and I was pleased with the price, especially for the experience I had. I can say that I’ve never had such an in-depth hair consultation. I was really surprised that the whole experience only took about 30 minutes. I really felt it had been an hour because Kim was so thorough. The salon offers other services like massage and mani/pedis. The women I saw getting pedicures looked like they were having a good time and I think I’ll head there when I want to treat myself with that, too. Another minor thing I liked about the salon was that I wasn’t assaulted with chemical fumes the minute I entered. Some salons have literally made my eyes water, an obvious turn-off. I definitely recommend this salon.
