Value City Thrift Store

Purchased a furniture item from this store and the delivery process was awful. They charge $ 25 for delivery which we had no problem with. The issue we did have a problem with was what happened while waiting for the item to be delivered and when the item got here that caused me to write this review.
The item was delivered by 3 men in a small SUV that looked like it was from 1994 even though this place advertises itself as a truck rental location also. When the men arrived they said they had been driving around for over 45 minutes looking for our home instead of calling when they couldn’t find it at first. They did finally call for directions about 10 minutes before showing up and even though I gave clear ones they drove up and down the street about 4 times until I stood at my door yelling. It was extremely hot outside and I wasn’t up to going down to the street to flag them down due to health issues.
All three men brought the furniture item in and then proceeded to leave it in the middle of the den before turning around to walk out the door. One of them wanted to kiss both my hand and my roommate’s while saying he was always a gentleman which really grossed us out due to the way all three of them were behaving coupled with the fact that they all came across like they may have been drinking earlier in the day or something else was going on before they arrived to our home.
The way they presented themselves and their behavior made us feel so uncomfortable that we just wanted them out of our home ASAP. Luckily the furniture item was easy to move. It was just a bit maddening that we paid for delivery, three men came to deliver and not a one of them asked where we wanted what we had purchased placed in the den. Luckily we have floor in the den so sliding it across the room wasn’t as hard as it would have been if we had carpet.
I tried calling a few times after they were here but kept getting an answering machine when I wanted to speak with an actual person.

If I could give zero stars I would. I called and asked what time they close today. The person on the phone said 6pm. I showed up at 4:53 to find a dark store with locked doors. Excuse me but it’s no where near 6pm. By the way, the sign on the door even says 6 pm. Don’t waste your time at an establishment that can’t even honor their business hours.
