Get those cheap pancakes while you can as I have a feeling time is limited here.

If you have fond memories of iHop skip this place or you’ll be greatly disappointed. This place is a dump. The service was poor and the building is crumbling. Don’t go to the bathroom… It is disgustingly dirty and held together with TAPE… literally. I wish I could post pics. It’s 12 degrees outside and the heat isn’t working.

Hey we were traveling and hungry for breakfast & gasoline. We stopped at this IHOP and had great service e and food but the best thing «no gas» !

No. I must say this place is just outright nasty. From the cold soup to the bathrooms I would not be returning.

I love ihop’s, but I’m desappointed in this one, because the restroom is so FILTHY!!! I check it

Waited 10 minutes at the counter and no one even acknowledged we were there even though staff saw us. Never going back. Excuses was all of the wait staff was sick

I have never had a bad meal or bad service experience at this iHop, but this place is so busy and so run down, I can’t give more than three stars. The bathrooms are gross, and the overall look of the place is faded and dingy. As much money as this place takes in, it’s disgraceful that the place isn’t remodeled and freshened up.

If you’re choosing IHOP for breakfast you’re looking for a safe bet.
The food is safe, predictable, affordable and usually service is quick.
Our particular experience was a friendly experience of pancakes and eggs. The two of us made it out of there for $ 30 (including tip) and we might not have to eat until dinner. Our waitress was friendly and fairly attentive.
It was a good mix of families, teens and older folks taking in the parking lot views of Gurnee.
Will we go back? For sure. It’s pancakes and eggs. Who doesn’t enjoy those things?

Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great, our order was perfect and everything was hot and fresh. We would return:)

I must be a sucka for trying this place 3 times.
I am an early riser and was hungry for some standard breakfast fare.
I got there at 3:45. When the manager sat me he informed me I need to put my order in right now so he can finish counting his cash register drawer by 4:00. Fortunately, I was hungry and knew what I wanted — 2 OE eggs, hash browns and link sausage.
As I sat there, the music in the back was not loud, but clearly heard. It was uncensored rap with filthy lyrics and generous racial slurs. I used to listen to old school hip hop and still do. GMF, Kool Mo Dee, Run DMC, Rakim, KRS-​1, Slick Rick, LL Cool J — the best! I say to each their own. But this garbage was offensive and obnoxious. I’m not tryin to hear this nonsense when dining out!
15 minutes later, no food. There were 2 tables — me and a 2-​top. 15 minutes for 2 eggs?
As I proceeded to walk out, the song that was playing was Kanye West — Black Skinhead. Hey seems like IHOP is less interested in customers and more interested in modern day garbage hip hop.

I was very disappointed with my visit. When we walked in, there wasn’t anyone to greet us and the person I thought was just a hostess taking care of full garbage cans. When she saw us, she came out right away and sat us. Turns out she was also our server. Yummy, change garbage bags, DON’T wash your hands, and then serve us our meal. She didn’t check back for drink refills.
The bench seat we had was torn up. There was an open Carmel packet outside the front door.

GREAT food and service. Got the chorizo omlet and MY GOSH is it fluffy and cheezy and spicy! :P. of course we got pancakes and of course it was delicious. JUST REMEMBER!!!: its not 24hrs on sunday

this is the worst service i have ever received from IHOP. My go to IHOP location is on Barrington rd, Hoffman Estates. anyway, we arrived at 1130 after fireworks at Six Flags. We are a big group of 23 people and all adults. I called in ahead of time to have the table ready. We arrived and the waiter only set up for 15 people because maybe he just wants all of us to squeeze as much as we could. then we waited until he set up another table. He introduced himself to be our server and he handed out menus and then started saying that «keep ourself in CORDIAL TONE». I stopped for a m oment to make sure i heard it correctly. I asked him to explain what he meant by Cordial Tone. He said that we need to keep ourself quiet and keep the tone down so we dont disturb other customers. EXCUSE ME!!! we just sat down and looking at our menus without talkng and not making any noise and he warn us to keep CORDIAL TONE. That is very insulting treating us like a bunch of kids from a field trip. My other friend stood up and asked for the manager and the server answered that he is the Manager. What kind of a manager is that? We all got up and left. Manager’s name is Dale. Will never come to this IHOP ever again. This manager does not deserve this position. MANAGER DALE NEED EXTREME CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING. THIS RECEIVES NO STAR AT ALL

Dirty bathrooms and won’t honor Groupon. Why else would someone come here? Go to the pointe or Emily’s pancake house. Better food, no lines, bathrooms that won’t make you sick, and the food is cheap.

Stopped in to IHOP with a gift card and not only did they get my order wrong but it must have been sitting in the window a long time cause it was cold. The restaurant was dirty and needs updating and the cashier gave us more money back in change cause she couldn’t count it back in her head… Really bad!!!

It takes a certain, I-don’t-know-what to get a 1 star review, but at this, at least, IHOP exceeded my expectations.
Pros: The sign was lit up and there was available parking.
Cons:
E-​X-​T-​R-​E-​M-​E-​L-​Y slow service. Not once in the 90 minutes we sat there did we get a drink refilled or a status check from our server.
Dirty. The restrooms were horrid and the IHOP interior was worn and dirty, not just dingy.
Order was not correct and server made no attempt to correct it… in fact, he wasn’t even there to bring it to us or check up on us.
Honestly, I would have walked out, but I promised my kids we would get IHOP chocolate chip pancakes. This was near the mall, so we decided to try it out instead of our usual post-​church IHOP… Big Mistake.

Alright, calm down. It’s an IHOP.
I came here in at 10PM on a weeknight, and while the restaurant itself is extremely worn-​and in need of a lot of updating/​repair, our waitress Tasja was great, and the food was exactly what I expected it to be.
My fiancé and I split a Rooty-​Tooty Fresh n Fruity with all of the toppings on the side, and it was super solid. Everything was perfectly cooked and really filled our pancake craving.
Solid IHOP, at least when it’s not busy. Kind of gross, but you kind of expect that when you come to these Denny’s/IHOP places… or at least you probably should…

This place is a health hazard waiting to happen. We came on the 4^th of July, frankly because the wait at the nearby Cracker Barrel was too long. We arrived and there was a wait even though we could see several tables open. Apparently, they were short staffed because of the holiday… everyone around us had not been served and I heard several complaints eminating from nearby tables. When our food finally arrived, the pancakes were cold, hard and inedible and the eggs were overcooked. It should not have been open for business if the food could not be served in a timely fashion or cooked correctly. And, I don’t even want to describe the condition of the restroom… no t. p…wastebasket overflowing with debris. What should have been a quick-​y breakfast took 1 – 12 hours. The staff just cannot keep up with the Great America, Key Lime Cove, Gurnee Mills and other hotel crowds. Stay away!

Came here the other morning for breakfast and it was alright…
Our server was friendly and kept checking on us and was a genuine hard-​working waiter. The food was bland — sausage a tad undercooked and the eggs were definitely undercooked.
The pancakes however, were great as always!

HIT UP IHOP BEFORE GOING TO SIX FLAGS.
This IHOP is conveniently located a few blocks from Six Flags Great America. The restaurant wasn’t very busy at 10:30 A.M. (Six Flags opens at 10 A.M.) Our waitress was an adorable high school kid who hadn’t yet been calloused by the rude general public.
ORDERED: Whole grain pancakes with blueberries and topped with slices of banana. Served with scrambled egg substitute. Coffee.
TASTED: The whole grain pancakes were good but hardly «loaded with blueberries» as the menu proclaims. The coffee was diner coffee, good for the caffeine and nothing more.
