Have been there a few times. Service is always slow. The worst two time were the last two times I went through the drive thru. On both occasions they got the order wrong. They made us wait multiple times during the order. I would begin to order and the drive thru attendant would cut me off and ask me to wait. I waited long enough I had to ask if they were still there. I would correct the order only for them to keep getting it wrong. I timed the experience the second time since the first time took soo long. It took 20 minutes to get our food through the drive thru! There were only 2 cars in front of us! Both times the receipt was so faded you could not see what you ordered. They were also out of extra crispy chicken the first time and out of Mac and cheese the second time. In other time when I went inside to avoid the drive through they were out of green beans. Despite going in the order took forever(about 15 minutes) to fill. They must be aware of how horrible this location is because they have a sheet of paper apologizing for any inconveniences posted on the drive thru window with the regional managers number listed. Save yourself some time and drive to another kfc. You’ll get your order faster even with the added drive time, and you’ll get the right order.

We live close by and keep giving this restaurant a chance and they fail every time. Today, they were out of biscuits and Diet Pepsi. How do you run out of biscuits when it’s part of your main menu? This was it. The receipt didn’t print out correctly(amazing right?) so I couldn’t even do one of their surveys. Too many failures. Never going there again.

Disgusting. If I don’t get sick from the food I ate I will be surprised. Bug build up in the corners of the area where you eat, and that doesn’t happen overnight. The bathroom looked like it had been toilet papered, the drink machine was leaking all over the floor, employees didn’t care at all about anything, they were out of food and the guy working there slammed a drawer shut because he was frustrated. I’ve never been somewhere so dirty in my life. I was in a pinch because we were going to Great America for an event. I took pics that I will try to post. Yuck!!!

First the pro: –_– Now the cons: Poor attitude. You can immediately tell there was no desire to care for the customer. I would have liked to have added a sweet tea to my order when I pulled up to the window but it wasn’t allowed. I could however, order a Pepsi but to add a sweet tea I would have had to go in. Is there something against drinking sweet tea and driving? What’s in there?!? Finally, I would like to echo other complaints about the receipt being faded.

I drive thru once or twice a week and can never get a receipt which is always concerning when you use a card. I have left a message for the district manager before but this hasn’t been fixed. When you ask for a receipt you get a lot of confusion and something with minimal ink so you don’t get to take advantage of promotions either. Left a second message for Rosie the district manager who called me back to tell me that the are old printers and that there is nothing she can do about it. She also went down the path of letting me know that she thinks I should go paperless because that is the way of everyone know. I told her that I had just talked to corporate and she let me know that they would just be contacting her and there was nothing she would be doing. I called corporate back to let them know of her rudeness and inability to resolve customer complaints. With all of the fast food in Gurnee and this store being off of the main grand ace you would think they want business and repeat customers. She was offensive and I can’t help but wonder why she called me back if she doesn’t want to resolve issues. Very disappointing. Btw, when I did ask for a receipt today after waiting several minutes I received a 3′ receipt tape that you can’t read with the gentleman at the window apologizing. Amateur hour all the way.

This is part KFC and Long John Silvers. I’ve been here a couple of times because desperate because it’s close, but now really getting pissed. They never have any food ready and I always have to change my order to suit what they have, mainly because they say they have to cook it for like 15 min still. One time they sd they didn’t have fish and it was a LONGJOHNSILVERS!!! What??? We had chicken from them last night and 2 pieces weren’t fully cooked yet.

I was in the mood for fried fish, this is a combo KFC and Long John Silvers… I drove through and ordered. They said it would be 5 minutes for fresh fish and please pull ahead. Fine… Made a phone call and 15 minutes later, still no fish. I went inside to check on it and they had completely forgotten my order! Never cooked the fish and deleted it out of the system! I was pissed! They then wanted me to wait longer to get my meal with no compensation! No way– I demanded my money back and they even made that difficult. The manager was not at all friendly and just said«these things happen».

Terrible, terrible, terrible. We went here today for dinner and was not impressed. Bad service. Only 1 out of the 8 drinks they offer worked. Place was hot, not very clean, and the people working there were not telling people ordering that the drinks were not available.

I just finally called to complain to KFC Customer Service about this location. I mainly only go to KFC for the pot pies and this location NEVER has any. They always say they are out of pot pies. Well then take it off the menu or ask management to order more. If you really run out like that then place your next order for more… but I doubt that is the issue. Probably too lazy to make that on top of the chicken that you never have ready either. This location just plain sucks. Even Waukegan and Zion have better service and quantity… this is «Gurnee». Step it up people…

I wanted fried chicken like nobody’s business, so it hit the spot. The service wasn’t bad either. We had to wait extra for them to finish up a batch of chicken and they threw in some extra biscuits for the wait. It was greatly appreciated. The secret ingredients still taste the same, but I think they cook it differently or are using much inferior chicken than when I was young. It just didn’t hit the spot the way it used to. The skin was almost soggy instead of crispy. I was sad. This will do the trick if you’re in a hurry and need a quick chicken fix. I still think the chicken is OK, but not as good as it used to be. The biscuits are nice and the boxed potatoes weren’t offensive. I still don’t understand the whack-n-cheese.

This place is a complete joke. I think the whole staff is dysfunctional. I went there a week or so ago and went through the drive through. I waited at least 10 minutes from the time I placed my order until the time I reached the window. There were 3 cars in front of me if I remember correctly. Once I got to the window the cashier didn’t know what I had ordered and I had to place my order again. I had order a 3 piece extra crispy and was charged for a 2 piece. I waited another 5 minutes before the cashier came back and informed me they didn’t have any extra crispy chicken. By this time I was boiling mad, lost my temper, yelled at the cashier and demanded my money back. I went again tonight(second mistake in two weeks) and they botched my order. They fooled me twice. Shame on me.

Ring the bell if you received great service! This is a combination Long John Sliver’s and KFC. A group of us went there before we headed into Six Flags, and it was both cheaper and superior to any food I have ever purchased at Six Flags. For that fact alone I have awarded this location an additional star. Other than the location, this is pretty much a straight forward KFC/LJS. They have a self service soda fountain, so refills are readily accessible. The restaurant combination affords some interesting condiment opportunities. The honey mustard and chicken planks were a pretty solid combination, but I steered clear of the famous bowl plus cocktail sauce combination. Another advantage is the LJS bell by the door. Ignore the sign and ring the bell regardless of the level of service you receive; you just ate at a KFC/LJS.

I went here for a quick lunch. It was very disappointing. The chicken was hard and old… All the dine in trays that came up looked so good, but the to go food was raunchy, once you leave the building that’s when your in for a stale surprise. For this to be a tourist town and Great America right here this was the worst place that i have eaten in a very long time. If you come here have them cook your chicken fresh or you will be disappointed at your old, hard, stale chicken.
