Nothing fancy, grabbed a quick overnight breakfast when traveling in the area. They forgot silverware when they gave it to me in the drive thru, but were very apologetic when I went in to ask for it. Somewhat understandable since they are just rolling that out, and the food itself was fine. Service was normal speed. Parking lot layout/drive aisles are a little strange, watch out for the one way/left turn only when you are leaving.

Poorly managed McDonald’s. Plenty of staff during dinner rush yet all the trash cans were full, sticky tables and countertops! They need to hire people that can read what the coupon says. Maybe try and act a little more professional too. I mean, after all, you ARE serving customers. Of all the fast food places in the area, this is the worst of all. If you can’t even keep the place clean, I can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like…

There are not many reasons to eat here, given how fatty and fried most of the food is. However, I found a light at the end of the tunnel with the Asian salad with grilled chicken, edamame and ginger dressing or the sweet and spicy grilled chicken wrap with lettuce tomato and cucumber. In their infinite wisdom, the powers that be decided to eliminate the only two vaguely healthy menu items from the menu to bring pancakes and egg mcmuffins to you all day. I’d give it one star, but the people that work here are mostly professional and friendly. McDonald’s, you’ve lost my late night snack money. I’m probably better off, but I’ll miss those items.

On Saturday 11÷29÷14, we were heading back to our hotel near this location and decided to grab a bite from the drive-thru, about 11:20 — 11:25pm. Lights in the store were on, the marquee was still lit up, and the drive-thru order box not only was still on, it displayed the welcome message. We pulled up to the box and were rather curtly told they were closed. We were not the only ones fooled – we saw other vehicles turn into the lot as we were pulling out. Before posting this review, I tried to look up the hours online, but they are nowhere to be found, not even on the location’s website, so I have no idea if they were about to close, had closed, or simply didn’t want to deal with customers. We went to Steak’n’Shake instead. I will note that the marquee, which should have been turned off first upon closing, was finally off when we drove past about 20 minutes later. Ate there last year and the food was decent, but due to this behavior, we’re not likely to come back on our next trip to the area.

Management and drive thru workers clearly do not even know how to read. Gave coupon that read«only valid until 03÷31÷15», and the manager said they won’t take it until that day. I told them I’ve already used multiple of the same type of coupons at that location and others and they would not accept it. So I asked«Then if that’s the date that you accept it, then when does it expire?» «I don’t know.» Overall they don’t know what they’re doing.

This McDonalds falls short on friendly staff. I’d write more, but I’m choking on my cold hashbrowns and need my hands to perform self cpr.

«We received cold fries, dry burgers and poor attitudes on Fri June 21, 2013 around 5PM» We visited this McDonalds in Gurnee, Il from East Tennessee. We found this service odd since we have always received excellent service from McDonald franchises in the past.

The staff were really rude. I pulled up to the drive thru to order 20 pcs chicken nuggets and a large frap. They gave me the frap first then made me pull up to the reserve parking thingy. I waited there for 20 minutes and they told me that i already got wat i ordered. And they also said that they didnt see me there even tho i was waiting there for 20 minutes. They were very rude to me. I am never going bak to this mcdonald ever again.

The girl working in the drive-thru was extremely rude to me and insulting to my daughter. McDonald’s gave out coupons for free fruit smoothies. I had two and decided to try two smoothies with my daughter. I read the coupon and it said: ONECOUPONPERPERSON Those were the only rules. The girl at the drive-thru told me that my daughter was not a person and I could only get one smoothie. I got really pissed off and said, «She is not a person. I would have to disagree with you!» How rude was that? I held my guns and informed her that my daughter was a person. She then told me that the coupons were just for adults. I looked at her and laughed. I said did you even read the back of the coupon… it doesn’t even say that anywhere. Long story short… she reluctantly gave up and gave us our two smoothies! I am sorry but if corporate McDonald’s knew that this person did this or if it was management(at this location) dictating this I am sure that someone would have been fired by corporate. McDonald’s makes a huge living off of «Happy Meals» ordered by little people who are customers too!

Six Flags McD… In recent times, McDonald’s has been undergoing something of a renaissance into trying to become some odd upscale Starbucks-a-like, and in doing so, as a parent, I’ve been disappointed to see a number of nice playlands disappear. McDonald’s seems to have forgotten that they have the playland market cornered… so anyways, I’ve decided to review some and share some hints for other parents. This McDonald’s is generally in need of better maintenance, usually a bit on the dirty side when we’ve been here. On the other hand, it has a very nice playland that’s usually very busy, well designed for both younger and older children, and we cannot drive past it without requests to «can we please go there?» It’s a large playland, large enough to host large birthday parties, and with restroom facilities in the playland area, which is great for kids. We try to make the drive down a few times a year, and it seems to be a popular stop for families going to Gurnee Mills or Six Flags.
