Yeah I went to a salon… I know… I know … but it was recommended so I went and it went awesome really, the front desk girls were super nice to me even though I looked like a steel worker stumbling into ballet practice when I first entered… I was clearly out of my element. But they got Meighan(I think that’s the spelling, sorry if it isnt), and she was very good, quick, and accurate with what I wanted. Just was all around a good experience, no complaints. Had better cuts and interactions but certainly had far more worse ones. I’d recommend the place if you are just a normal guy like me that doesn’t wanna risk a mall cut.

I have been here on two separate occasions and both have been amazing. My first visit was with the intent of getting the infamously difficult to pull off blunt bangs. I had very specific directions and my stylist gave me exactly what I asked for! The second time I visited I went in for a deep tissue massage and while I found it extremely painful, afterwards I felt so relaxed and my aching muscles felt like they’d finally been beaten into submission. I would definitely recommend going for any need you may have. The staff is incredibly friendly and I will definitely be going back.

I had my make-up done by Hannah and wow was I disappointed so say the least. I showed her a pic of a smoky eye I wanted and she said that it is too dark for my eyes and I should go with something lighter. Then I spent the extra money on lashes which she did not know how to apply!!! I kept telling her it feels uncomfortable and she did something and it made no difference. I told her I needed my makeup for the rehearsal dinner and it was def not a good job. She kept talking about how she does makeup for all these people and she styled miss Thailand and some playboy model well for someone who has so much to say about her experience it was pretty crappy job. Def a waste of 62 $ plus tip on my end! Don’t get your makeup done there

I have been coming here for years and love it each time! Chrissy and Lori are great and really know how to work with my hair and offer suggestions. I have also had a pedicure and must say it was the best pedicure I have ever had. It probably lasted about an hour(no complaints here) but the technician took her time and really pampered my feet! Brow waxing is another plus! The salon is always clean and front desk staff friendly.

Had a head to toe spa package now when I do something like this money doesn’t matter but my day start out great with a massage and I’ve always like a male to massage because I’ve read they’re hands are better. Anyways but great customer service with him and at first my hairstylist seem nice and had a smile and was making conversation but I don’t know if something happened to this lady she just wasn’t paying attention I told her I wanted the color I had to be on my roots because my $ 250 clip on extensions are that color its a simple number 4 brown she comes back with a dark red I looked at her like no no, she says that’s what I have but that she can put more brown in there but that’s my color so uk I trust her that she knows and is paying attention. So in the middle of my dye she does my manicure and she just has this face no smile or anything she made a little bit of conversation and was SHAKING during my manicure and kept messing up then off to take my color she talked about the product all nicely but nothing after that when she started to dry u could tell she knew she did it too dark cause when she seen my face she said it will get light after a couple washes but it looks great. At this point I’m hungry and wanting to leave and hoping my pedicure is worth it and nope the pedicure was her and no a peep and every time I said something she would cut me off with an Mk or an oooo yeah before I even finished what I said and everyone else around me seem to have nice conversation their stylist and mind u she was the first one done with my pedicure and there was a lady there before me and she wasn’t even finish yet and then after everything was done that’s when u saw the smile like she was glad to be done and not only did I tip her nicely because I know it’s hard work but I got home and my friend said the same thing my hair was to dark and ya washing it brings it a little lighter but not what I’m looking for and I even put my extensions next to my hair and not EVEN close. Which its sad because on her station it said she just got promoted. Well if that’s what promotion looks like then I don’t want to go back which is sad because me and my family member have been looking for a good spa but I’m not gonna take them to a place where they’re not the focus and then me feel bad for referring them.

Awesome! A real salon where men and women are welcome! Honestly, I avoided this salon since about 6 years ago when there was a show on Bravo called Split Ends which featured the Octagon with all of this dysfunction, infighting, and daily morning prayer circles. I was sure that I’d feel uncomfortable in the environment. All I can say is that reality TV isn’t reality. These people are very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is modern and bustling. The space has a contemporary ebony and white décor, which I love. The windows on the back salon room open onto a beautiful green ravine. It’s luxe. Plenty of guys come here, too, so men don’t have to feel intimidated. I used to be spoiled by Sportclips $ 21 haircuts. Then they changed their stylists. I felt like if the haircut wasn’t satisfactory it was my fault because the stylists asked me about every detail of the cut. Newsflash: I’m not a stylist! That’s why I want a professional! This is full service. Men’s cuts are $ 33, which given how precise the finishing is, the overall level of service, and the professionalism of the staff, is a real bargain. I really thought you’d have to pay upwards of $ 100 for this. There are little details which make a difference, like a text reminder that my appointment is in two hours ahead, or asking me for a beverage while I wait, or asking me if I like my water cooler or warmer when they wash it(which, by the way, they do before AND after the cut). Then there’s the amazingly knowledgeable and professional Sophia who really knows her craft. She also cleans up all of my facial hair including my eyebrows, sideburns, ears, and mustache. She’s one of maybe 30 or so stylists who work there, so I got lucky. What’s different now is that I can’t walk in. Maybe one day I’ll try a massage or a facial. Until then, I’ve found a gem in my neighborhood. Call ahead and make an appointment. It’s worth it!

I booked a wash, cut and style. The stylist asked what I wanted and if there was a special occassion and I explained to her what I wanted and that I had a important party to attend later. She spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out from a chart what shape my head was for the best cut. She attended to her phone texts several times during my appointment. She washed my hair… just trimmed my ends and bangs and proceeded to dry my hair without using a styling brush to straighten my hair, which is visibly dry and frizzy, and then basically said she was out of time and asked if I had a curling iron at home… really??? What exactly does«style» mean? Maybe they should specify that more clearly. I came home and had to style my own hair after paying someone to do this for me.

I have been an Octagon client for many years– I keep coming back because of the professional atmosphere and excellent results that I have received. As a matter of fact– I have treated«special» persons in my life to pampering at the Octagon! Each person has loved the experience. In personal grooming more than anything else that I can think of, «You get what you pay for» and this certainly applies at Octagon. Other reviewers have mentioned«price» but is your personal appearance something that you really want to «cheap out» on? I don’t think so…

Had an appointment for a couples massage. An hour before the appointment, received a phone call that one of the therapists had food poisoning and I would have to reschedule. Love the dramatic excuse, but my main question is why they would have no back up. All i got was sorry in a high pitched sing songy voice. A professional spa would at least offer a comp or discount on a future reschedule. To the manager– if you can’t staff for the services you offe, than don’t provide them. Pathetic.

As a prior licensed nail tech and native to this area, I have always supported local salons. I have known Janell since her early days in the business and appreciate her dedication to the beauty industry. I have always gotten an excellent manicure or pedicure at Octagon but feel the need to say that my last experience shocked me. My pedicure took longer than normal(an hour and forty five minutes) which wasn’t a problem since I didn’t have to be anywhere, however, when I checked out and was told my pedicure was $ 62 I about fell over! I asked the young lady if prices went up and she told me they charge whatever the technician puts on the ticket. I didn’t request a longer pedi, I brought my own polish, and I will never pay $ 62 again. I’m very disappointed in what I think was an extremely poor judgement call.

I was at Octagon the other day — OMG the whole place is remodeled and fresh. Talk about cutting edge. This salon is hands down a gem, the staff and everyone that I have met at Octagon are stellar. Octagon sells the ENTIRE moroccan oil line, before this I had to order it online and pay shipping.

I won’t be going back. I had a no chip express pedi. I have easy feet to work on as I’ve been told in the past. My regular tech was on vacation so I found this place. It’s a nice salon. But I paid $ 50 for pretty crappy work by their«best» nail tech. My big toes were rippled and bumpy. My other toes were only painted in the middle. So the sides were bare nail. AND the polish dried on my cuticles, so as the color is growing out, there is an ugly ridge. I expect WAY more for $ 50. At least put the nail polish on neatly! I would assume most people pay for a pedicure not only because it is relaxing, but because someone else can usually paint your toes better than you can yourself. Very disappointed. I feel like I got robbed.

I love Octagon because of its amazing stylists! If you’re looking for the best stylist, ask for Divina Luna– she is the best around! She’s been doing my hair for 16 years and does great color and regular styles — and the best up-dos! I highly recommend her!

I really hate to give a 2 star review but hear me out… when trying to think of a statement that sums up our experience, the best we could come up with was«It was great… until it wasn’t.» We booked the«head to toe» package to kill the multiple hours we had before a wedding… what the hell else was there to do in Zion after all? We were quoted 3 – 3.5 hours… the wedding started at 4:30, and we were assured that an 11am start time would be more than ample… we started out the the massage and facial, both great. I was a little irritated about the product pushing after the facial(especially since it wasn’t «customized,» but exactly what my friend was recommended as well… and we by no means have the same skin). Then things started to go south… at this point, it was 1:30, so we were on track time wise… then came the hour-long manicure… WTF?! an hour!!! and it wasn’t a crazy fancy manicure… nor a particularly good manicure for that matter, but I’m chalking that up to the fact that my nail technician’s hands were shaking uncontrollably… which really put his lengthy pinky nails in context… yeah… we don’t sit for our pedicures until 3… which at that point, we’re freaking out. We express our concern and are told we can substitute the«express pedicure,» which would only be 30 minutes… ok great! 30 minutes later, and my nail technician(different one from before) is just putting on the first coat of paint. And then she tried to tell me to wait a minute while she went and got a fan. AREYOUCRAZY??? I DON’T HAVETIMETOLITERALLYWAITFORTHEPAINTTODRY! I NOWHAVE30MINUTESTODRIVE11MILES, SHOWER, ANDGETDRESSEDFOR A WEDDING. I can’t express enough how little a sense of urgency these people had… so… the moral of the story is… don’t go there if you need to keep a schedule.

It’s an ok salon. REALLY pricey. Over $ 200 for a FEW highlights and color is a little too much. My stylist Renni was OK. Nothing special. Everything was going fine but then she asked if I could come back for the cut the next day because she had an appointment and was really tight. I said that definitely was not gonna work for me since I live 2 ½ hrs away and I was visiting the area. So she got someone to dry my hair while she did some color. Not the best impression when I had booked my appointment a month in advance. So she was in this huge rush to get done with me, tugging and pulling my hair and she was in such a rusch she got the comb stuck in my cartilage ear piercing… OMG I about cried. I dont think this is the place for me.

I have been to Octagon once to get my hair cut and highlighted… and loved it! The staff was very welcoming and my hairstylist talked about exactly what I wanted in my hairstyle. She did such a great job! It was exactly what I had expected! Will certainly be going back!

Octagon is wonderful. Divina is superb. She’s excellent with cuts, color, everything. Whenever I’m back in town, the first thing I do is get my hair done with her. They have a great staff with nice, friendly people. I’ve been going here ever since I was 9… Give them a try, it’s a wonderful place!

I get my hair done with Natalie for years now. She is the best stylist and I have finally found someone to do my hair for years to come. It is pricey but the money is worth the trip. I have course, thick hair and I’ve never had a stylist smooth it out so well. I get highlights every 6 months and she just knows how to change it. I get a cut every 3 months and she just has the hand for it. Some people deserve props for what they do. See Natalie if you go here.
