Really Disappointed. (Created a Unilocal account just to save you from going here) Went with my sister the day before my baby shower (and a long week of meetings at work) to get no chip manicures. Both of us were incredibly disappointed in how they looked. They looked terrible (by terrible, I mean, it looked like a ten year old did my nails). The no chip ran over onto our skin, didn’t even get close to nail bed, my cuticles were not touched at all. I mean, straight up not professional manicure. Wanted to call and complain (since I just spent $ 80 for both my sister and I), but I didn’t… 2 days later, the thumb nail layer peeled off on the edge, so I had to tear half it off– I called, no manager called back when they took my name and number and said they would, even though they told me their services were guaranteed… The next day, the entire pinky nail layer peeled off. I called again, again, no call back from a manager like they said. I wasn’t initially this annoyed, but at the his point, I am so irritated and disappointed that no one seems to care enough to take the time to call a customer back– I do not want my nails to be fixed there, but would like a refund, considering my nails looked terrible and lasted only 2 days max. Would never recommend this place to anyone, in fact, will definitely tell people to steer clear…

I paid $ 106.00 for a body wave and my hair was absolutely straight after. Went in the next day and granted they redid it for free except now I have wavy hair on one side of my head and big patches of straight hair on the other side! So besides damaging my hair I got absolutely nothing out of it. And the worst part is I cannot even attempt to fix it because it will absolutely fry my hair completely. So I’m stuck with this hairdo for the rest of the summer. I literally have to use a few curlers in my hair overnight to offset my hairdo.

Hair for prom was done very well! They are very good at doing what you show them in pictures! Warning: makeup takes forever. Told them when I had to be done by and they went 30 minutes over. Makeup was not close to what I asked for though, pretty disappointed.

Beware of this place. Very frustrated with this salon!
They won’t accommodate you if you will mention a groupon or any types of coupon. At first they will actually booked me on same day I called but when I mention the groupon at the end, they said they can only accommodate me after 2 weeks. That is so unacceptable. It’s because it’s discounted they will not make any effort to accommodate you right away. Just wanna try to them since they are close to my house and see if I will like their services. Even without groupon or coupon, I can always pay if I already tried their salon services. Oh well, I can always pay $ 200 – 350 & go to a place I’ve known for years & pay the whole price because I know they will give me the best result and service I want even they are 20 miles away from me. Definitely cancelled this groupon purchased right away and make sure that groupon is aware of what they did to me & warned people of this salon’s very poor customer service.

I had the worst experience EVER at this «premier» salon. I should have known when I called and talked to the inexperienced receptionist who didn’t know for sure if there was an opening that day (she kept changing her mind) but booked my appointment anyway! I had asked the price of the service and was told it would be 41 $. The morning of, they called 35 mins before my appointment (It’s a 30 min drive from my house) and told me to find something to do for half an hour because the stylist Serena was going to be 30 mins late. After entering and being greeted with an uninviting cold stare I should have turned and ran but I just knew from past experiences they were going to turn it around and I was going to walk out feeling fantastic with my new hair style. But it just got worse!
I arrived 10 mins earlier then my original appointment time and waited the 40 mins. After a shampoo was told I could get the ²⁴⁄₇ highlights I originally wanted with my style but it would be with an assistant in training not the beautician. What a big mistake! After explaining and giving a picture of what i wanted to the stylist she said she would give me a style that would fit my face. After a rushed cut job (i guess she was trying to hurry for her next client) I was told she would finish my style after the highlights. When the newbie rookie finished my highlights I looked at the back of my head and informed her there was a large highlighted patch. She proceeded to spread the hair out and hurry and rush me out after being there 3 ½ hours! I told her I wasn’t feeling the hair style or the highlights and the stylist came and did a snip snip (as if it was going to look any better with two snips) and walked away! At checkout I was informed my services were 82 $. I was livid, after a rushed bad hair cut then a bad highlight job and style from the newbie rookie? I protested the price and the partner/​owner/​manager did try to make it better with cutting the price to 41 $ which I didn’t think I should have had to pay but i did anyway! She did tell me I could come back and get it fixed (um I don’t think soooo). Now i’m stuck with a short rectangular hair style and bad highlights! So disappointed NEVER AGAIN!

My Gf & I came in today for our first ever couples massage, it was great!
We were both in the same room (sort of) it’s pretty much two separate rooms that you can combine to make one.
Lights were dimmed and we enjoyed 50 minutes of pure relaxation.
The room was somewhat chilly and could have been warmer to make the experience more enjoyable.
50 minutes goes by pretty quickly, next time I will opt for the 80 minute massage.
The after massage amenities are nice (especially for the women) as their shower has separate steam room
Guys get a nice shower with dual shower heads, shampoo, lotions, hair products etc.
Price was reasonable which is always a plus!
Give them a try!

We made an appt in late Feb for hair and makeup for my daughters prom in mid May. The problems began five days before the appt when they texted me to confirm an appt at 12:30, but we had made the appt for 11:30 specifically knowing that we needed extra time due to my daughters very long hair. When I called to tell them that their text was wrong, they said they were overbooked and could not change the time from 12:30 even tho it was their mistake. Them we got here and started the makeup, only to learn that the girl applying the $ 50 make up was a newbie and kept asking me how to apply it! She finally got in the stylists chair at 1:00 after a tearful wait (there goes the makeup!) because she knew she was going to be seriously late for photos planned with a large group of friends. I will never be back, and I’m sure several of the other angry mothers here feel the same. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

This is such a nice salon. The staff are incredibly accommodating and sweet. I had eyelashes put on and they did an excellent job! Highly recommended!

I had an appointment at 1:30 and waited until 2:15 before deciding to leave. It wasn’t like it was crowded but after seeing a few people go ahead of me and then a mother (who DIDN’T even have an appointment, ask for someone to cut her daughter’s bangs) get a response from a stylist «I can do it in 10 minutes.» I just decided it wasn’t worth it. I did have my eyebrows waxed by Audrey, who did an amazing job.
Maybe it was a sign not to get a haircut =/

I went here with my mom and sister for us to get our hair done on my wedding day. My mom and I had the same person and my sister had someone else. My sister and I both have very curly, kind of hard-​to-​tame hair. She was pretty happy with what her stylist, and her only complaint was that she felt like it took too long.
My stylist, however, didn’t listen to me at all. I told her right off the bat that I wanted a simple, low bun and that it was really important that she not do any heat styling because a. I wanted my natural curls that day so I could look and feel like myself, and b. I didn’t want to be a frizzy hot mess on that humid June day. I brought in several pictures. I’ve had this hair for 25 years and I know how it behaves.
So what’s the first thing she did? She broke Rule #1 of curly hair and took a brush to my dry, natural curls. Then she ran a large barrel curling iron through my hair for an hour and pinned it sloppily behind my head. So not only did I not have the natural curls I wanted (and provided!), I didn’t even get the generic but photogenic manufactured ones she was going for. Now I’m going through the proofbook from the photographer and feel disappointed all over again. The style was sloppy, it got frizzy very quickly because she used heat tools and didn’t do it properly, and it was certainly not worth the time or money it took.
Should I have spoken up during the appointment? Sure. But, like most brides on their wedding days, my mind was elsewhere and I thought maybe I should trust the stylist at the self-​proclaimed «premier» salon. That was the point of paying someone to do it rather than doing it myself. Mistake. By the time I finally got out of there, it was too late to start over myself.
My sister might try them in the future because as I said, she had a pretty good experience, but as my mom and I were both disappointed, we won’t be going back.

This place isn’t so bad. I went here a couple days before my vacation recently. I was able to get in right away and get all polished up. I def. would go back again. Though I prefer going to Gigi Spa to get my waxing done and plus she does eye threading there and many others. I just wish I lived closer to Sharda Salon out in Bloomingdale, IL they do amazing job and their eye brow threading is only $ 6 bucks how can you beat that price.

They make you tip with cash only.
They also don’t take AMEX.
Inconvenience.
Dont make me think about payments.
Loved my haircuts though.

I had a SpaFinder gift card to use and when browsing for a place locally that would accept it, Studio One came up in the results. I booked a 50 minute classic massage for a Friday afternoon and had no problem getting an appointment after submitting my request via their online appointment scheduler.
I arrived at the time my massage was scheduled to start due to traffic so I didn’t have a chance to enjoy the steam room before getting started. My massage therapist, Missy, gave me a choice of several different aromatherapy scents before getting started. She checked in a couple of times during the massage to make sure things were going well; she wasn’t pushy and there wasn’t any inane chit chat.
To describe Missy as magical would be an understatement — this was, hands down, the best massage I’ve ever had. I’m already looking forward to returning in the future.

I came in for an updo as part if a wedding party. The good: My stylist was very nice. Super sweet and knowledgeable.
The bad: they were a little disorganized, as the bride’s stylist was late, and there was no room to talk to the bride when she was getting her hair done. The waiting area was nothing more than a few chairs. The receptionist (older lady) was so fake, but I imagine that is required when dealing with beauty. They also don’t have shades up yet, so the sun was a struggle to deal with on both my end and the stylist’s end. Had to re-​pin part of my hair because it fell, but oh well.
I am giving 4 stars because of the stylist I had. The new salon needs some time to iron out the kinks. I wouldn’t go here for a regular appointment but for special services maybe since it is close.
