There were 5 of us in our group, and we enjoyed this place. The food was good. I would definitely come here again. As usual, I ate too much.

I like coming to this place. In my opinion it’s one of the better shabu-shabu restaurants around. It is not too expensive as an all-you-can-eat restaurant with a good variety of meats and vegetables. They have plenty of tables and most of the time have enough staff to make sure you have everything you need, most of the time. They had gotten rid of the sliced chicken for a little while butt I see they brought it back. I did not care for the chicken pieces The waiters are wired which gives them the ability to talk to each other and get what you need in a timely fashion again provided that there are enough of them working that day. My favorite is the spicy soup base sliced chicken and premium beef with the thick Udon noodles. I also enjoy the various mushrooms they offer and you forget sesame sauce used for dipping. On the last trip I made they were scant on the sauces and the variety of the create your own sauce. Still one of the better shabu-shabu restaurants

Every order is missing items, watsup with that? They are seriously short staffed. We waited at least 20 min for the dishes to come out, the pots were dried up when the dishes came. It’s like we went there to wait, not to eat.

The soup itself is really flavorful, but some of the food are not that fresh. Especially the crab leg, I can tell it was left in the fridge for quite some time.

Worst place ever. We are party of 2 and we were waiting for an hour even they said waiting time is 10 min. And waiting time were continued after I sit. We were able to get our soup(not meat!) after two hours from when we’ve been here. Seriously? What is their problem?

I have been to pretty much all the Little Sheep around So Cal and I would say this one is by far in lower standards than others. I had good experience at the SBV and the recent opened Pasadena one and the orders are accurate and fast. The service here is subpar, in each of the individual 3 rounds, there are items constantly missing from each round. I had to ask different waiters multiples times to bring out the missing items from each round. The service is inattentive and they don’t seem to care much. Next time, I would probably make the drive out to SBV for better experience.

Simple and Sweet This hot pot place is very well known in China as it is here. It is superb! The broth of both the spicy and non spicy are on point! There is lots of medicinal herbs that enhance the soup so nicely. Their meat and veggies are really good. I love their quality as well as selection. The noodle selection is quite good too. My favorite noodle is their fresh thick noodles. Its super chewy or as we Chinese like to say QQ. Extra points go to them for having a sauce bar! I think personally for me because im a fatty doing the AYCE is a better option because its one set price rather than by the plate. HOWEVER, if you love to eat but dont want AYCE you can do the non ayce option. Compared to other hot pot places it is a tad more expensive but its well worth it in quality. Service is excellent and the restaraunt is quite modern and clean. I will definitely try to be back soon!

Been here twice but have never tried AYCE, I always order al la carte and the prices are fair for the portion and a decent selection. Broth options include spicy, non-spicy, or the divided pot so you can have both. I like spicy, but the spicy broth becomes atomic hot as it cooks down and those darn little chili flakes always makes me cough. The non-spicy broth, which is kind of milky and herbal(in a savory non-medicinal way), is delicious as it gets cooked down. However, the non-spicy broth could be an acquired taste for some palettes. My biggest compliant here is their sauce bar. It is so limited and both times I’ve been here they did not have shacha and the cilantro always looks a bit suspicious. Maybe the sauce isn’t so important here since your tasted buds are basically killed by the spicy broth anyways. I think the sauce bar definitely caters to that because none of the sauces really go with the non-spicy broth. The servers are more concentrated on the AYCE side, so it takes a bit to flag someone down, but once you get all your food you only need them to bring your check anyway. Large dining area, so good for group.

Great service, great variety of lamb and beef as well as organic chicken. My fave is the premium lamb slices with yuzu ponzu sauce and garlic. Good draft beer prices during happy hour. Only bad thing I can think of are the cigarette smokers outside but you can walk around them.

I came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday, because there’s nothing more festive than sharing a hot pot with a large group. The great thing was that we could get the half and half pot to accommodate my dad’s strict vegan diet on one side(mushrooms, yam tips, udon noodles, chinese yam, and zaminkand noodles) while we carnivores boiled everything that moves on our side(fish cakes, fish balls, beef, and long li fish fillets). I also love the fact that the whole soup base is edible: dates, longan, soft garlic, goji — all healthy for you! We got one pot to share among 4 people, and along with all the ingredients and snacks the meal came out to be $ 80. Definitely also get the pumpkin and red bean sticky rice dessert, because it really adds colors to the meal as well as necessary carbohydrates since most people come here for the meat and vegetables. I got the lamb bbq skewers as well, but I found the seasoning on the lamb to be bland and underwhelming. 4 small skewers also didn’t feel like they were worth $ 6 to me.

Little sheep is one of those hot pot restaurants you go with in a group when you don’t want the boiling point nouveau style hot pot. This is how the Asians intended hot pot to be eaten– one big pot for your whole fam. I actually don’t know what else is good in this area for share pot. If you know a better place please share. I gather there’s a place that’s been opened for 20+ years that looks a little sketc in HH, and an all you can eat place, and everything else is personal pot style. Anyway the meat is not bad. Surprisingly the lamb and beef combo’s beef was better than the choice beef. Full size items are quite big so I would only suggest veggies at full size for a table of four. The soup is very salty so we had them water it down a little. The spicy herbal side has a little bit too much China taste for me– I think it’s cumin which I don’t really like. It’s weird because I think the lil fat sheep soup base u can buy actually tastes better. Weird. The restaurant is clean and the sauce bar is good. Stay away from the beancurd infused sauce unless you’re from China.

We came here for ayce during lunch time! $ 28 for lunch ayce after tip. Soo expensive. Not really worth it I think): I think next time I will just get the lunch special on weekdays haha. My sauce that I made was so good! I put cilantro on the bottom and then a lot of sesame seeds. And then i put 3 scoops of sesame sauce, 4 scoops of seafood sauce thing, and 2 ish scoops of shacha sauce. The beef tendon meatballs are good! The beef tendon itself here is hit or miss. The beef and lamb meat are good. I like the chinese fritters(yo tiao or whatever haha). I usually get shitake and enoki mushrooms and also tofu and cabbage and bok choy and various fish balls(the shrimp and fish fishballs are so soft). Get udon at the end! And the soup is sooo yummy. The service here is okay! The waiters are very nice but sometimes it is hard to get their attention if you are sitting in the corners or so.

Love their soup base and sauce selection. Their spicy soup base is really good but has a lot of chilly and is super oily. They do however allow you to do a half and half pot so you can try two soup bases at once. Their thick homemade egg noodles are also a must try! They have great texture and they’re one of the main reasons I keep coming back!

This is definitely a different kind of experience if you end up going to Little Sheep. There is the spicy and the mild broth. The spicy/mild are often offered side by side, but separating the reservoirs of boiling liquid with a divider down the middle. They fry up all kinds of things in a liquid or oily brew here that keeps on boiling: an assortment of usual types of meats and seafood, as well as vegetables, mushrooms and dumplings, but many internal organs too like kidneys, liver and intestines also. There are various dipping sauces and everyone is to help themselves to whatever is sizzling in the Hot Pot. I suppose not everything served is to everyone’s taste, but there is enough variety to satisfy anyone. Little Sheep offers a wonderful Hot Pot experience, with good service and variety of ingredients. Though not all the ingredients were appetizing or appealing to my Western taste, they seemed in good quantity and taste to my friends and family that eat like this regularly. Watch out for the Sichuan peppercorn, which produces a rather odd tingling, lip and tongue-numbing experience!

I was invited by my mom to have lunch with here. They have a $ 9.95 lunch special M-F, where you can get one serving of meat, assorted veggies, and a handful of noodle. First of all, very nice interior! It was super clean and classy. I understand that this place turns into a higher end hot pot restaurant at night. The IH heater at the center of the table heated up our soup very, very fast. The sauce bar wowed me. I mean, unlimited sesame dip? Yes pleeeeease! And the staff are constantly walking around, attentive like hawks, so I never had to flag down someone for something. Awesome possum! When the plates arrived, I loved how neatly the veggies and meats were laid out. We threw in the veggies and went to get our sauces. By the time we came back, our hot pot was ready! I got the angus beef and Mom got the ribeye. Both meats were cut thinly to perfection! Took only a few seconds of swishing them in the how soup to get them ready to eat. Tip:you can ask to have more soup added to your pot at any time! By the time we got to the middle stacks, we were soooooooo full. We expected to eat lots, but this was a lot of food! I was so satisfied with the quality and quantity of food and service.

It was my first time… in a LONG time eating Mongolian hot pot. A long time meaning like… 5 years. HAHA. Finally decided to retry Mongolian hot pot at Little Sheep(BAH)— no I don’t eat lamb, they do serve lamb– but I prefer my beef. I didn’t opt for the AYCE since I wasn’t that hungry Portions: More than enough! Broth Flavor: Unlike the«Japanese Fusion» or Taiwanese Hotpots– Mongolian Hot Pot only has 2 flavors. For indecisive people, Mongolian Hot Pot places is for you :). You half Spicy/Half non-spicy. Spicy: Taste like Szechuan Spicy«pinching spicy” — «mouth numbing» Non Spicy: Taste like Milky Herbish like broth They also have the misc. bar(Sauces/Green Onion/Garlic…) I would definitely come back when I’m craving for Mongolian Hot Pot. P. S. They are still in the 99 ranch market plaza, but it took over the old Asaka Buffet, right next to Tenju. It’s no longer at the«stand alone» building in that plaza. We walked into a Shanghai restaurant… OOPS. ** PLEASE get the beef skewers… PLEASE**

Came here because my mom had a groupon and it was really good! Hot pot here is a little more expensive than an individual hot pot place but it’s a more traditional experience. Everyone shares one pot and cooks their food in the same pot so only come here with friends and family you’re comfortable sharing food with! You can choose 2 different soup bases since the pot is divided. We chose mild spicy and non-spicy. I tried some of the non-spicy soup base alone and omg it is so good. Super flavorful and«Asian» tasting(they put herbs into the soup which I like). I’d be happy just drinking the soup base alone. The spicy soup base is good too but a little too herbal and spicy for my taste. Warning: the mild is still insanely spicy so we ended up fishing out all the dried peppers out of the soup base because as it boiled, it kept getting spicier and spicier. It ended up being enough peppers to fill an ENTIREBOWL. You order the meats, veggies, tofu, etc. separately and the variety is amazing! So many meats, seafood, veggies, fish balls, tofu, etc. and the prices are reasonable. My family ordered lamb, beef, napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, and a seafood platter and it was more than enough for the 3 of us. We also took the leftover soup home to make more hot pot, which was great because that soup is so delicious and tasty. From the other Unilocal reviews, I hear they have a $ 9.99 weekday lunch special and I definitely want to come back and try it! I wonder if I can eat alone???

I love two things at Little Sheep: the $ 10 lunch special and the $ 15 dinner special(note: I haven’t had the dinner special in a while, so I’m not sure it’s still offered). And that’s what my five stars are for; read other reviews for information on the rest of the menu. Both specials contain enough food to stuff you silly, from meat and veggies to tofu and noodles. There’s a sauce station, but since the broth is bold and flavorful I usually forgo the extra sauces. The yin/yang broth is the best way to eat here; it’s served in a divided pot and contains the regular and spicy versions so you can mix and adjust the spiciness to your liking. You’ll have plenty of that tasty broth left over, so don’t forget to ask for to-go containers and you’ll have another meal or two for home. My friends, family, and I have been coming here since they opened and we’ve never had a problem with the food or service. From what friends have told me, this is one of the nicer LS locations. I’ve only been to this particular LS, so I can’t say what the others are like, but this spot is always clean and they’ve managed to keep it that way over the years. It feels more upscale than other hot pot restaurants, but there’s no pretentiousness or attitude.

Finally, I get to try their famouse $ 20AYCE and was well worth it ! I rarely go out eat hot pot, when I do. I want best bang for my bucks hehe. Who doesn’t right? LIttle Sheep AYCE Tuesday Hot Pot for $ 20 during summer time is probably best $ 20 you can spend in any hot pot. Unlike most Chinese Hot Pot. They use quality meat and has a lot house made stuff like sauce and meatball. Sure you can spend less buying pre hot pot stuff in Asian Supermarket. But you won’t able to get the same quality of meatball or broth. The broth is hardest to make. Just about everything is part of AYCE. Most people think Lamb is the best meat in the menu, they are wrong. The best meat is actually their augest beef. It was more tender than the lamb. The lamb quality isn’t that good, but the beef is. They had huge variety of sauce that you can make you one that fit your tastebud. Our group came here little after 6pm, and was no wait at all. I pretty sure during the real summer kick off and will be crowded just about anytime, They had large parking lot and is sharing the plaza with 99 ranch and few other tea place. So while you wait go buying some grocery. One caviar is that your group must be all present to be seated !

To my surprise, this popular Chinese hot pot place has vegetarian mushroom broth, and it tastes so good, even better than the vegetarian broth I tried at some Shabu places! Must be the generous amount of herbs and mushrooms they put in the broth, brings a lot of flavors to the soup base, very tasty indeed! Hubby is a big fan of this hot pot joint, now I am a fan too, I like their sauce station, so many ingredients to mix a perfect sauce to my liking. The food selections are huge and the portions are big too. We usually only get half orders of everything, and that’s usually more than enough for the two of us. Hubby likes the ribeye beef, I like peeled shrimps, scallops and fish filet. Both of us love the fish roe stuffed fish balls, and lots of veggies & mushrooms. I like a few cold veggie dishes like garlic seaweed, bitter melon salad and wood ear mushroom salad, they are so flavorful and delicious. And this traditional Northern Chinese bun with condensed milk dipping, it’s a great dessert to share. The only downside is the service, it gets so slow, it always so slow for some reason, but since this is a hot pot place, we don’t need to rush into anything, so it’s ok most of the time. Just be prepared for super slow and not very attentive service, other than that, this is a great Chinese hot pot place!
