This place is a known as a «Sleeper». Why? Because it doesn’t look like a big deal, but the owner/cashier/chief is known as mom. This woman does it all. Cooks with love and big portions. She’ll make sure you leave the place as if you can take on the World with those empanadas and omelettes. Thanks mom!

Terrific. Went for the first time last week and after looking at all of the hot options decided on the pork chop. Crispy out side, moist inside. Delicious. It comes with rice and beans and veggies. All good. I also got some tomato salad on top of the pork chop. Nice and fresh, but just too much onion and garlic for me(but I hate onion and garlic, so probably good for most people). The owner was lovely and gave me tastes of several of their sauces to help me decide on a dish., Will definitely return.

Went to get the pancakes and the Cuban sandwich, a lot of food !!! Couldn’t finish the food !! Had to take some home. Small place, no parking unless ur park in front(meter parking), they don’t take credit cards, but the lady said she has the devices just needs to set it up.

Came here to get the Cubano, two of my boys and I all got one for each other. From around the table this is what we had to say, «Excellent.» «Wow, that was so good.» «Man that was banging.» The sandwich was huge, filled all of us up. It came out it be only 7 $ per sandwich! I only write reviews if the food is that good to write one. Here i am typing away. The people their are truly kind-hearted. The place is an old-fashion pick up and eat place. The women who helped us was so loving and thoughtful she offered us empanadas for our next visit. Definitely coming back for more.

Delicious food, huge portions, and the owners are just lovely. We felt like a guest in someone’s home and I’ve never seen our 8 year old eat so much food-ever!!! It’s not fancy, but who cares. Great food, great people. We will be back.

Some mornings I stop in for empanadas & coffee, maybe a sandwich to bring to work for lunch. I always walk out smiling. And I am a grumpy jerk in the morning. Bobby’s is a true mom & pop shop. Don’t expect fast-food rapidity here; just enjoy the fact you’re in a rare environment where hard-working folks pay close attention to the details of your order and put it together with PRIDE and, dare I say… love? No idea how long this place has been in business, but guessing by the shabby building & its patina of grease, maybe 30 years? At one point in Bobby’s history, the prices were posted on the menu board, but they’ve since been cut out and left blank so just ask; you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how cheap it is for food’s calibre, and the cashier often just rounds down. Excellent corn muffins, empanadas(ask for chimichurri sauce), and panini.

I used to come here all the time when I used to volunteer for the local ambulance. This place is THE hole in the wall that actually delivers really awesome food. It’s owned by the sweetest lady and she lives right upstairs with her family. So everything you get here is a home cooked meal and it tastes and feels like it too. In the past, I used to always get the Bandeja Paisa. It is traditional Colombian skirt steak with rice, beans, fried eggs, plaintains, and a salad. It was so good! I also used to get their sandwiches and they are all made the way you want it and tasty. For breakfast, it is absolutely necessary to try her pancakes. It is the BEST pancakes I have ever had. It is buttery, not too fluffy, and has crisp edges. I also got to try her breakfast sandwich which came with double sausage and double egg, and the Cuban sandwich which was also excellent. Don’t mind the looks when you enter here. In a way, I like it, because it feels authentic, just come and enjoy a great home cooked meal.

So my cousin calls me over here late one morning to come have breakfast. It’s in the really industrial area of Hackensack, not too far off Route 80. I arrive to a shack. A hole in the wall. It’s hot, muggy, and there’s no AC inside. Places like this usually have great food. I tried out the pancakes, home fries, and cuban sandwich. Cuban sandwich was the best I’ve had in recent memory. Only problem was mustard was initially excluded, apparently because most people don’t want it. The home fries were average. But the pancakes were stellar. The best I’ve had to date. Soft and fluffy on the inside, yet crisp like a dosa on the outside. I didn’t even know pancakes could be crispy. The owners are absolute sweethearts. Some of the nicest people, you’ll feel bad if you don’t finish your food. 5 stars

This is a great hole in the wall Deli. The owner is so nice. We had the pulled beef with rice and beans. It was amazing!!! And I don’t really like beef all that much.

Real«home cooked» food at very reasonable price! I go there for lunch once in a while. Would have given it 5 stars but for the ambience but I know you cannot ask too much!

Bobby’s was the breakfast spot at work for quite some time. It was untouchable. Their empanadas are delicious. Their potatoes are«OMG» worthy. Their egg white omelettes — large portions. Lately, the pick-up orders have been getting messed up. When the«man» answers the phone. I think it is the owner’s husband. However, this is a good place and the food is excellent. Mami is the sweetest.
