Two stars for the two employees working here. God Bless them. May be I caught it at a wrong time but it is my first time ever eating Ina Cosi and I doubt I will be back I was on my way to Chipotle down the road but traffic was tight so I gave it A try. Went for a chicken bowl after thy took my order They found out they were out of chicken and sub if for steak which tasted old The manager had the poor girl running all around looking for chicken. It is about 6 pm maybe if is better at lunch.

I ordered a tbm melt but I received a tbm unmelted. I bought a half portion and it was very tiny. The sandwich had too much vingrette. The ginger ale in the soda machine was empty. This was not a good experience.

Horrible service, does anyone smile or care? They ran out of Coke was told by the Manger it would take 15 to 20 mins to get the syrup changed. Horrible5. Then I get my pizza and was very poorly cooked. Cheese was not melted and cold on the center. My border was to go i had go get my own napkins and eating utensils. Won’t go back here ever

I’m only even giving them a one star because their manager(day shift during the week) is actually a very friendly however I am sorry but his employees are NOT well trained to deal with the public. They are rude, extremely disorganized and lack basic knowledge of the food they sell. I have been to this location at least 4 times during different days of the week and different times during the day and always receive the same poor service. This time around, I came in at 2pm ordered a salad and waited about 15 mins to receive it. It was missing a couple of items(that I paid extra for) went up to the counter to let them know and she had to confirm with 3 people?!! Before I got the items added to the salad. The guys that made the salad admitted to forgetting then said he «mixed» them in… In pretty sure I’d be able to tell if red peppers and avocados were or were not in my salad. Ugh. Then the manager interjected and added the items to my salad.

Pretty good I gotta say. I went here for breakfast. Had the pesto steak and egg breakfast wrap with a small coffee. I will be coming back, and especially for the tomato basil soup as everyone else raves about.

If I didn’t work in the hospital, I would never come to this location. The staff are so rude and have terrible customer service skills. It seems they are understaffed because even at busy times of the day there will only be 1 person taking orders. And this one person has 2 speeds, slow and slower. The food is ok. I much rather eat panera.

I gotta say that I really love having this as an option so close to my campus and workplace. It’s not the cheapest place in town but the food is great quality and the ingredients are fresh and mostly healthy. Love it!

It could be cleaner. It could be cheaper. It could have better staff. But it doesn’t. It doesn’t do any of the above. The menu is limited and the food is okay. There it is.

Stopped by on Sunday on the way back to NYC for a lunch. Place was empty(it was around noon time) with only maybe a few people, orders were taken promptly and food was delivered to our table. I can only imagine how busy and chaotic is this place during Monday thru Friday with Hackensack Medical Center employees and visitors to the hospital both emerging at the same time. One more thing about this place — you don’t have to bus the tables after you are done.

I’m suspicious of the chicken… kinda has the same texture when you get chicken from subway… is it processed? Other than that staff is good and food is GOOOD and«healthy?»

I have stopped in a few times over the past year or so and picked up some lunch and everything was good. However, I was there on «off» times as I was visiting someone in the hospital(HUMC) around the corner. The past two times I tried to order a delivery at our office they told me they could not handle a 12:00 noon delivery. It would have to wait until 1:00PM. I called it in at 10:00AM, so that’s a 2 hour notice and we are a 10 minute drive however, they didn’t even ask. I hung up and had to order elsewhere. It seems to get food delivered on time you need to call the day before or super early. I think they should have more delivery people since the type of offerings they have are catering. Boxes of mixed sandwiches, lunch packages which include a large salad and a bag of chips or carrots for each person. If they want to cater to business meetings they need to up their game. The parking is a little rough during busy times and I could see where there is confusion as to who is on line. I had 2 people cut right in front of me because I was standing at the wrong register once. I think they should have a number system at the door as they do in bakeries. It would help things a bit.

Chaotic location !! As soon as you come in, there is people everywhere !(during lunch hours), kind of like the people you will see in a club. No one looks like they are in line waiting to order or to pick up. It’s unpleasant view. I regret not taking a picture. Anyways, after asking five people if they were in line or not, I ordered tomato basil soup which is the only thing I ever order from here. Every time I do come here it takes 15 minutes to get my soup whether I called it in before or not. I can almost guarantee the few times I had the soup, the consistency was always there, however, it is not the best soup I ever had. You do get a heavy after taste affect once you are done with the soup. Because the soup has cream, perhaps skipping the flatbread will ease the fullness in your belly. I do not think this soup is salty at all or bitter in a way. I do say to try it and find out for yourself if this is a winner in your book.

The food here is TERRIBLE! I simply ordered eggs & cheese on a croissant, probably the worst breakfast I have ever had. What an awful taste and the cheese was just thrown on top. Never returning.

Tasty, however gnats kept flying around when I was eating. Really yucky. Can’t this problem be fixed somehow? The food is pretty standard with all cosi restaurants, so at least that was good.

I went to college around a Cosi, which was always delicous, so I was excited for my boyfriend and friend to try Cosi for their first time. The bread, which is Cosi’s defining feature, was ICE-COLD on our sandwiches. As the daughter of parents who are in the service industry, I try to exercise patience, but come on, man. There’s an oven RIGHTTHERE in the entrance to make fresh bread that is hot and piping. It might not sound like a huge deal, but think about eating sandwiches with hard, cold bread that you just paid $ 10 for. It’s pretty aggravating. Bottom line: don’t go here. They also messed up our orders(how hard is it to remember who wants carrots and who wants chips with their sandwiches), but I am still pretty steamed about that ICE-COLD bread. To add injury to insult, I saw them making new bread while we were on our way out. Ridiculous. I had half a mind to send our orders back, but my friends convinced me not to.

Reasonably priced. I ordered the 2 for $ 7.99 combo which was the signature salad and half sandwich. Signature salad: Greens with cranberries, grapes, gorgonzola & pistachios. I would have enjoyed it much more if is wasn’t oversaturated with vinagrettte. Sandwich: Buffalo blue. Boneless breast of chicken in a buffalo dressing with a blue cheese drizzle on flat bread. The chicken tasted artifically engineered(like a fake deli chicken breast that had been diced up) and the flat bread had a crunch to it. I was hoping for warm, soft flat bread. Pizza: My girl friend and I ordered the margarita pizza to share/try. We each took one bite… she said«Kinda tastes like glorified Elios pizza» I think that is actually an insult to Elios. I would go again and only order the salad to go with the dressing on the side.

This location is my first experience with Cosi, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. I’ve only been for breakfast, although I’d like to try their lunch menu if I’m ever around. The food is your basic 2.5−3 stars — not bad, will satisfy your hunger but won’t knock you on your tush. The squagels(square bagels) are very dense — I’d steer clear if you’re accustomed to jersey bagels. The croissants are extremely greasy, but tasty. Decent products, nothing fabulous. I did have a completely delicious skim hot chocolate though! The setup and service are very chain-like. It’s clean, nicely decorated, comfortable. The front lobby is almost awkwardly too big, as you’re greeted by the cashier(«welcome to Cosi») as you enter the door — even though they’re quite a distance away. Service has been good, very polished. It appears disingenuous though, as if they’re all reading from a script and don’t put any thought into their words(personality would be a bit nicer, even if less polished). You can see the guys measuring bread dough in the morning(literally, on a scale), and putting the squagles into a fiery oven. Not the fastest service, but not too bad. When you order, they give you a numbered card. You take a seat and put the number in the holder on the table, and your order(even take-out) is brought to you. Cosi is oddly located directly next to Starbucks. I say oddly because many of the products are so similar… wonder how that’s going to work out!
