My first time here this past weekend. Staff was so nice. AJ showed us how everything works and explained everything. They provided samples. Food was delicious, especially the wings. Definitely will be coming back!

The staff were nice and friendly but the mixed platter and the sauces were kind of off. The rice was a little too soggy for me and the white sauce tasted more like raunch salad dressing. The hot sauce was also that really hot at all. Kind of disappointed but I’m comparing this to my favorite halal food cart the halal guys.

Love this place. I’ve gone here multiple times with different people and it’s always amazing. Highly recommend.

I was pleased to see that Juicy Platters opened this location which is closer to my home than te Fair Lawn location. Despite this being a new location, the staff is excellent with some familiar faces from the previous location. The food is even better and fresher than I remember from their original location and there are more seats for dine-in guests and more room for people waiting for their to-go orders. There is ample parking available too. My favorite thing to order is a chicken platter with pita well done — I add the white sauce myself.

First review of 2016! Juicy platters, I’m glad you opened up a new location much closer to me. I’ve been to the other location in Fair Lawn with some frequency, when I’m in the mood for Halal food. However, this location is closer, bigger, and easier to get to. Its very close to rt. 80 and rt. 17 in Hackensack. The store is bright and clean, with its metal tables. As you walk in, you can see the menu and the soda machine to the right. I get my usual chicken and rice. The hot sauce is near the pickup area and the white sauce is in the fridge next to the soda machine. Same taste as the Fair Lawn location. Pretty good(I think its growing on me), but not anything outstanding. Its not quite as good as the Halal carts in NYC, but there’s no toll or travel to get to it, for last minute cravings. One thing to mention. There is a free soda with the purchase of a platter with the Unilocal check-in, if you ask the cashier.(Same as Fair Lawn) Note to Juicy Platters: it would be great, if you can include this info on the Unilocal restaurant page. Thanks.

I’ve died and gone to Halal fast food heaven. Juicy Platters is quite tasty and their meats are seasoned well. This place is as good as 43rd St. 5th ave Halal Street Food Cart without the travel. I ordered the mix gyro plate. It was good, portioned well, and priced appropriately. The only downside is they do not deliver and their side salad is a bit pricey. May I suggest opening up one near the Chicago area? Then I will give it 5 stars.

If your used to the real platters food cart in NYC then this spot will disappoint you .I ordered the chicken platter and the rice was spicy and a lot different then others the chicken didn’t taste good at all. The tables in the restaurant were dirty and not wiped down overall I don’t think I’ll be coming back

The wraps are very good and staff is always super friendly which is always a plus as a consumer. Chicken is fresh always. Also the wraps are huge so bring your appetite.

For you Halal Guys lovers, this is the next best thing(and maybe even better than the real thing). Sure beats waiting outside in the cold in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Lots of toppings to choose from. The white sauce is like crack it’s so good.

This is my first time going inside and ordering food from any location so I can’t compare this to the other location. BUT I have to first say the customer service is excellent. The kind where you know they are making sure they are doing everything they can to make our experience great. I have had juicy platters before but having it here for the first time. We ordered a chicken platter with extra meat because my husband and I just wanted a small meal so we shared this but I love my chicken so I wanted extra! We got home and split our meals, and I added the white sauce and the spicy sauce to my bowl. It was delicious! I loved the spicy sauce and white sauce combo. Perfect amount of spice and slight sweetness to it. This will be a spot we will be coming to more often. Maybe just maybe eat here, but I am the type that will take food to go and enjoy at home unless we are actually going to a nice restaurant on a date night or something. However, if you do choose to eat here, it seems very clean and cozy!

Juicy Platters is a great place to get good quality food for your money. First off, I’m extremely grateful for their store hours. It was 11pm and my boyfriend and I were hungry. We found Juicy Platters on Unilocal and I was thankful that they didn’t shoo us away for coming in late(I always try to be considerate of the store hours). The store theme reminded me of Chipotle but with more color; mostly red-orange. Even though we were taking our orders to go, there was plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly and offered us samples to try. Their menu is displayed on large screens and can at first feel overwhelming. But it’s only because there’s a variety to choose from and you can customize your dish! We both ordered chicken platters to go; I also ordered extra plantains and pita bread, about a dollar each(three pieces of plantain for $ 1). The food was cooked and prepped right after we ordered, so the food was hot and fresh. They allow their customers to have as much white sauce as they want(even for to-go orders), which is nicely stored in an accessible fridge next to the soda machine; they also offer hot sauce. After we had already paid, we decided to order extra sides on our platters and the staff easily allowed us to do so. The platter came with so much food and the amount we spent was about $ 25! I get full easily, so I had leftovers to eat the next day. Juicy Platters is the place to go if you have an appetite, don’t want to spend too much money or want a late night dinner. We will definitely be back!

The place is really nice and very close to my work. I go to halal guys in the city all the time so I really love halal. Food was great 4⁄5 Staff was extremely nice as well. Unfortunately. after my platter, I went to the toilet about 8 times after I left. Pretty sure I broke a record. Man food was really good but it gave me stomach problems. I know it wasn’t anything I ate before because I usually stick with a strict diet. I ate around 2:35PM and i’m still rushing the toilet. Will give it another try

Excellent! Very tasty chicken/beef mix on a pita. The girl behind the counter asked if it was my first visit. When I said yes she whipped up a sample of their chopped meats with sauce and spices and it was great. The manager also suggested that I try a sample wing too. Really crispy and flavorful — naked no sauce. Probably awesome once you add one of their many types of sauces. Place is bright, airy, clean, fast service — just terrific! This place is a great new local spot. Definitely give them a try!

Their service was fantastic! They went out of their way to help us out and try everything before we ordered. The platters have good portion sizes and they’re delicious(not to mention the aggresive pricing). They don’t joke about the hot wings btw, my lips were literally on fire.

So I’m loving this new place in my hood, and damn it’s open til like 4am on some nights! The deal is this, it’s like Chipotle style. You pick your ingriendents and then they add them on to your platter. Like last time I had the mixed grille, which was beef gyro and chicken, over rice and salad. I added on some platanos maduros. There was a big variety of add on for 99 cents each. I have been searching for an Arabic resteraunt that tastes similar to the stand on 59th Street in the city, by George I think I may have found it! They have very good rice with a wonderful flavor. The gyro was tender and not too salty, the chicken had a bit of a kick to it. And the white sauce which they house separately in its own little fridge, was pretty good as well. We have gotten food 3 times from them already since they opened like a month ago, it’s kind of addicting. They also have one of those high tech coca cola machines with like over 100 flavors! The only thing I wish they would do, is deliver… Other then that I will be back for sure.

I heart Juicy Platters. Simply stated I’ve been hooked for quite some time. So here goes my review… There have been so many Hollywood sequels recently sometimes I can’t even stand to go watch a movie anymore. Many times the sequels are a complete bomb but others live up to the franchise. Take for example the Fast and Furious movies. There are good ones in the series and then there’s Tokyo Drift. Seriously I don’t even want to start. Now why am I beginning this review mentioning movies and sequels? Well because sometimes art imitates life and other times life imitates art. I’m talking about Juicy Platters’ sequel – their new location in Hackensack. When I first heard about a possible second location opening up I knew that it would undoubtedly be as successful as the original one. How do I know this? Because I’ve had my fill of JP for the longest time. From their humble beginnings as a hole-in-the-wall in Fair Lawn to the bigger place they moved to one block away, they have always put out amazing food every time. I said in my review of the original location that it’s about time Jersey has a place to rival the one in the city, well guess what now there’s two places that can take the Halal guys on. I have a feeling this will not be the only other Platters, rather a start of a possible franchise in the future. Who knows, but what I do know is that it will have the same great food comin right out of the kitchen every time! So I say to Unilocal users around North Jersey. If you’re cravin delicious food make your way to this new location. Show some love to Juicy Platters. Sit down in their comfortable and large restaurant. Bring your whole family for a great time. But most importantly savor each bite of that chicken or mixed platter that lay before you, and drench it in the amazing white sauce, BBQ sauce, and hot sauce combo for a taste that will linger with you for some time. Also don’t forget about the other items on the menu. Give them a try or better yet try all of them! You will not be disappointed. Last but not least order some chicken wings(fried, sauced perfectly) to go and it will still be hot and crispy by the time you get home. Then you can continue to feed your inner glutton.

«You like-a da juice, ah? Da juice is good, ah?» I didn’t find any juice, however I did find some really tasty halal food with a Greek/Mediterranean flare. I’ve been to the original location in Fair Lawn and I got to say this one is much bigger. (I know, I know… I never reviewed the Fair Lawn location, shame on me. I shall receive three Unilocal lashes for my laziness) If you come here, don’t be afraid to be a little adventurous. They have this option to «add color», which is adding on to you platter. They have some traditional options like falafel or olives… to more brazen options like Mango or plantains. They have a color option for cheese, I was hoping it was feta because that would go perfect, but it’s cheddar, so me thinks not. The service is pretty fast too! On my last visit, I didn’t even get a chance to sit down and order was ready. Here’s a good one for you boozy mofos; they’re open till 4am on Friday’s and Saturdays. So after a night out, it’s a great place to soak up all that alcohol. I just wish there was one of these places close to my house. Well, at least I’m in the area pretty often

My heart belongs to Mamoun’s but Juicy Platters is a definite contender. The concept is a great alternative to a burger-type fast food spot without the attitude. The staff is really accommodating and actually nice! Here’s the rundown: 1. Pick you protein 2. Platter, Pita or Wrap 3. Add your extras 4. You want wings, too? 5. Get your sides! You know you want to I got a Gyro(beef) Platter with some extras and a side for falafel bites. Hubby got his Gyro Wrap on whole wheat and we shared a drink. The bill was under thirty because of the aforementioned«extras»(I don’t skimp). The wrap looked like a burrito, my platter was huge and was easily, enough for two meals, and there’s plenty of white sauce to go around. The place is clean and my doggie bag is traveling, safely in the backseat as we head home(seat belted).

There is nothing I love more than having one of my favorite spots rite near my best friends house! I have been eating at juicy platters for quite some time now and I have watched their locations grow and develop. From the little hole in the wall in Fair Lawn to the actual storefront that I frequent the most and now Hackensack! I came to this location the other night to pick up 3 platters for me and two friends. The store was empty which I was kind of shocked to see on a Friday night but hey I figured good for me, no wait time and hot fresh food as always. I ordered my usual gyro platter with onions and no salad and an order of falafel for an app. Everything was really fresh and my falafel were so good and crisp! The rice seemed to be a little different to me and like others have said in little clumps but that didn’t bother me at all, the flavors were still there. The location itself is very large and spacious with ample seating. The staff here is always friendly and helpful They have the coca cola machine that offers so many options to mix and match different flavor just like their other location. Still pour your own white sauce, bbq sauce and hot sauce which is nice because you can have all you want and I love their white sauce. I really look forward to seeing more and more juicy platter locations pop up and watching them expand while enjoying platter after platter. Keep up the good work guys!
