My wife ordered lunch from here for us and I was going to eat with her at her job. She ordered online at 10:45 and we were supposed to have a 12:00(noon) delivery. I was on a time constraint so I called at 12:10 and she told me the driver was on the way. I called again at 12:40 and they put a manager on the phone. He told me that when you order online it prints out and the printer ran out of paper. I understand mistakes happen but they could of told me that the first time I called or have reached out to us on their own to tell us. The manager apologized and said he would refund our money but wanted us to have the food anyway. My wife texted me when it arrived to tell me that my Greek salad with chicken that I ordered was a chicken Cesar salad and she didn’t really like hers. Won’t be giving this place my business.

I don’t usually write any reviews in Unilocal, but I feel compelled to leave a review about this place, one of my favorite & regular brunch places. I usually place an order by phone and pick up. Always on time and ready for pickup within 15 mins, consistently good food, reasonable price(even better price with the coupon). Their double berry ricotta cheese pancake and railroad omelet are my favorite. I like the fact that the owner is always there taking orders and he seems to actually care about his business.

My wife and I went for breakfast. The food was very good, staff was nice and gave good service. My only complaint and it’s a major one, it was very loud. I’m 45 and not cranky. When the cook has a dish ready for pick up, he bangs on a bell about 20x. This goes on and on the whole time! Next time, I will take out.

The Story: My OFFICE(yes the whole office) orders here ALL the time for lunch. Multiple times a day and yet they still treat us like trash. Just last week my coworker ordered breakfast with a cranberry juice. The juice spilled inside the plastic bag(it happens) but it was delivered like that… and when we called to complain the answer is «it is not our fault but the drivers and you should of told us to put it in a separate bag(uh… YOU’RE in the hospitality industry… isn’t that COMMONSENSE???)».(So I can only assume they treat their employees like trash and will probably make the delivery guy pay for the drink). Today I ordered a panini… 2 hrs wait. I called multiple times and instead learning something from the«customer service» rule book they just said«its very busy». Food: If you like your food soggy after waiting 2 hrs. Smothered with cranberry juice because they don’t know how to put it in a separate bag. Spoiled avocados. Price: I would say average but the food is soggy and wet with cranberry juice. Overpriced. Décor: Gotta love looking the train tracks while eating. Service: SAD. VERYSAD. My 6 year old niece can run a restaurant better. Parking & Finding the Place: Don’t bother finding this place. Additional Thoughts: This is actually NEGATIVE5 stars but on Unilocal you need to rate at least 1 star to review. PS:So apparently the owner inboxed me and was very racist.

Judging by the other reviews, I am not alone. Mediocre food, terrible customer service. Order here often due to their hours of operation, and they are always short and seemingly annoyed by my patronage. Today some woman answered, and every question I asked was short, one word answers with the personality of someone who hates her job. Just my opinion but your food is diner quality & your customer service is the pits, I would be worried if I were the owner.

So I always go for my gyros … But today I got a grilled chicken wrap with bacon. Off the chain. I love the way they make you feel. Very comfortable… The owner is the best… Nicki. You make us feel like family. Thank you

I really really wanted to love this place. Even if it was only a few certain dishes, but unfortunately it just didn’t turn out this way. I’ve came about 5 times trying several different things and every time was a disappointment. Food is either bland or poorly executed. I took a few months off and decided to try again but this time for pick up. The person that answered was so rude I had to force myself to hold back and continue with the order. As things got progressively worse through out the order process I finally gave up and cancelled the order. Sad to say I have finally given up on this place, I really tried to give it a chance.

Ordered for delivery on 11÷29÷15. It’s so easy to order online. They have the full menu available, $ 5 off $ 25 promo code, and easy online payment. I ordered the triple decker with pastrami, turkey and coleslaw with Russian dressing on the side and sweet potato fries. Loved everything. It was sooo delicious! My boyfriend had the Manhattan sandwich which is basically fried chicken with cheese. He said it was OK. Out of the huge menu they have I’m not sure why he ordered such a plain sandwich haha. Mine was good though, I highly recommend! The service was fast, we got our food in about 45 minutes and we live about 10 minutes away. My only complaint is that the appetizer was soggy and the fries+onion rings tasted old. We usually order from tenafly diner but their delivery service doesn’t open until 11am. I would like to go to this diner and eat in! Next time I’m in the area I’m going to drag the BF here! :)

You know a place is popular when it has four delivery vehicles. Brightly lit diner, very clean, full of locals, and what seemed like regulars. We ordered the combo souvlaki platter and the Manhattan sandwich. The grilled lamb and chicken were made fresh and were seasoned well. The breaded chicken and fresh mozzarella was delicious. The vanilla milkshake was the perfect end to the lunch. Value was superb… without the milkshake the whole meal would’ve been under $ 20. Great place to go when you need a break from shopping.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. Horrible customer service. I came here on Halloween day in the afternoon. The server was the worst sever I have ever seen in my entire life. He wasn’t even greeting people he was throwing the menu, moving the tables extremely hard. He was pissed off at something that has nothing to do with his job, the food was extremely cold, he messed up the orders. I would never step in this place again not even by mistake. Save your money and go to a place where they would be happy to have your money

Updated review: I thought it only fair to try this place one more time… but yep, like I said before: Nice ambiance, great location, but the food leaves much to be desired. I haven’t lived in the area long but I can only surmise that the long lines are attributable to there being not many other places to eat in the immediate area. Chicken breast sandwiches are dry, both the iced tea and the diet soda tasted«off». I don’t think we’ll be going there again.

I’ve only ordered from daily special section of the menu from this restaurant, so am talking only about the daily special. Whenever I ordered anything with mixed greens, it was not fresh. Mixed green salad is always, without an exception wilted as seen on the photo. Fries are more than 80%of the cases, soggy and soaked with oil with delivery. Friday daily special is always full of fish probably left unsold for the week. A lot of cases fish is overcooked. I think the most important thing in food is freshness of thr ingredient but somehow whatever I ordered dis not have it. Price I guess is pretty good. Their portions are usually good enough but not as fresh as expected at a busy restaurant. No doubt that you get what you pay for.

My office orders delivery from Fairmount on a somewhat regular basis. We tend to stick to the lunch special menu, which includes a soup. It’s a great value(approx $ 10 after tax and tip). They have an expansive menu with something for everyone, which is ideal for satisfying the needs of very selective eaters. They usually deliver within a reasonable amount of time and rarely mess up an order. They are reliable, consistent and affordable which makes them a regular selection. All that being said, I wouldn’t rate their food as fantastic, especially after travel.

The old Fairmount Eats was actually really yummy, so I’m sad to give it only 2 stars now. I had been to this restaurant a handful of times but the most recent time was about a month ago which was what prompted me to write this review. Previously, I had visited this restaurant for breakfast and there was an «Irish Breakfast» option on the menu. This time, it seemed they have taken it off the menu, which was actually very disappointing because that was the sole reason we made the trip here. Anyway, we figured no big deal because there were other selections there and the food is usually pretty good. We were apparently dead wrong. I ordered the«Tex Mex Spicy Skillet» which is a skillet omelet that came with home fries inside of it, along with cheese and some other Tex Mex flavors. Somehow, the diner had run out of potatoes that day and my skillet special instead ended up being served with french fries inside. It was so outrageous to me that no one from this establishment could make a 5 minute trip down the road to a supermarket to replace one of the most common items that was missing from the place. So, we tried to look past this very obvious flaw, and enjoy the other elements of our breakfast. We had actually noticed a sign on the door that said«we proudly serve organic coffee» and we made it a point to take notice of how the coffee tasted. I feel like if you are advertising a product, it should be a damn good product. The coffee was less than pleasing, to say the least. I was really surprised that it wasn’t better, considering it was the one thing that was advertised on the window of the building. Aside from my breakfast having some essential items missing from it, we thought the other meal we ordered would at least be substantial. My boyfriend had ordered an omelet of some sort and it was very watery to the point that it was not even tasty. It’s one thing to be undercooked but still have flavor, but this dish was just a watery combination of eggs and I’m not sure what else that really didn’t leave a good taste in our mouths(pun intended). Anyway, this review is based on one visit, however it was our LAST visit to Fairmount Eats. We definitely will not be returning after this.

I came here for an impromptu brunch date and the overall the food was just okay. I ordered the California Benedict which was overall good, but not great. The main problem was it was under seasoned. The home fries were really lacking in flavor, I had to add a bit of pepper to them. My eggs were good, not the best hollendaise sauce I’ve had, but it also wasn’t the worst. The food is slightly below average, but I’m not completely ruling this place out yet. I might give it another shot, maybe order a sandwich or something if I come back. Hopefully my food will be more flavorful.

This place is not located to far from Hackensack Hospital so decided to give it a try since the diner around the block didn’t have any good reviews. This place seemed more decent plus they said they offer all organic and for cheap prices so couldn’t beat that. There is a pretty big parking lot and also its located right across the train tracks and that train runs by every 45 mins or less so look out for that which is cool to see coming from someone who’s been around lots of congestion in traffic and commercial areas. We got seated right away and there menu was decent as I posted pictures, I had myself the pizza burger which was good with fries and also shared a spinach avocado salad which was huge and def can prob. feed around 4 people for just a appetizer. The coffee was really good and the service was good as well. Prices are decent and if you check in they have a 10% off the bill which is SWEEEET! Love me coupons.

It pains me to write this review, however I feel somewhat comforted in the fact that other recent reviews that I skimmed through prior to writing this seem to feel the same way. I grew up on Fairmount Avenue in Hackensack back when Fairmount eats was the Fairmount diner. I was never really a fan of diners so I was happy to see that someone had taken the real estate and converted it into a clean business with good food and outdoor seating. When Fairmount Eats opened sometime around 2011 It was great, but I must report food quality seems to have taken a steep turn for the worse. It is still a very clean good-looking spot to have a meal(generally breakfast/brunch for me), and they even have outdoor seating that I enjoy when the weather is right, however the last two times I went for breakfast food quality was lacking and I will NOTBEBACK until it is corrected. The Food: Last time I had breakfast I noticed the ‘Crab Cake Eggs Benedict’ Listed for about $ 9. Although it seemed impossible to construct eggs Benedict with a decent crab cake Incorporated for $ 9 I decided to give it a try. My suspicions were correct, the crab cake was literally 90% breading with maybe a shred of crab in there somewhere but I could not find it. Although this is pretty much what I expected I complained(and even tried to convince the manager that he should raise the price of the dish to make it correctly with real crab or it should be removed from the menu because it was misleading) then he removed it from my bill. Yesterday I went for breakfast and ordered the breakfast fajita(eggs cheese hash browns inside a tortilla with salsa and sour cream on the side)… It was bland, dry, and the side of salsa seemed like it was poured right from an el-cheapo jar. Blah. Once again it really pains me to leave two stars for a restaurant that I easily would’ve rated 4+ stars based on my previous experiences years ago. Something must have changed, it still looks the same but it certainly does not taste the same. There was a piece of cardboard from the packaging in my food this time, I complained to my waitress who sent over the manager and they removed 10%($ 2.30) from my bill Which is what I tipped back to the waiter. When I asked about the Irish sausages I was told that They have been removed from the menu(cutbacks perhaps?) Fairmount Eats: We have noticed the food quality change. Fix it before its too late.
