Jaidee Thai Food

All of us order from Jaidee all the time. We just love the food and the people that work their are so pleasant. You get plenty of food and they deliver very fast. We highly recommend this place…:-)

I decided to try this place after receiving a flyer in my mailbox. I pass the place all the time while travelling in Hackensack.
I placed a take out order, and was told delivery was about 40 minutes. The woman who answered the phone was very pleasant.
We ordered two appetizers shrimp roll and vegetable dumplings. These apps where nothing spectacular. 4 shrimps rolled and fried with tails on was expecting a egg roll type shrimp roll. The veg dumplings when broken apart you could not tell what was inside looked like some sort of a filler .
Next was two entrees. First entrée a whole fried snapper (sweet garlic chili sauce on the side) this was delicious it was off the bone and cut in sections. The head and bone pieces where fried and left whole which my husband enjoyed.
We also ordered a shrimp thai fried rice was tasty but had only about 6 shrimps

The other entrée was crispy salmon with garlic sauce. It was two nice size salmon fillets next time I would ask for the sauce on the side like we did with the snapper. I actually liked the sweet chili sauce better (will have to ask if that is a choice)
The vegetables that came with the dishes had too much curry sauce making them very soggy. Nice tasty jasmine rice with both dishes.
All in all it was a good first time experience. Can’t wait to try items off of the lunch menu.

I had been meaning to check out Jaidee for a while since I live close by and pass it all the time. There are a few other Thai places right near me but Jaidee is the only one that delivers, and last night I finally tried it. I wanted to try a couple of things so I ordered the steamed chicken and shrimp dumplings, the curry puffs, the ‘sesame dish’, and pad thai. The curry puffs are actually really good and come with two nice dipping sauces. But the rest of the food was just so-​so. The dumpling filling was kind of hard, the main dishes a little too sweet, the chicken in the sesame dish was more fry coating than chicken and the broccoli was soggy, and I’ve had better pad thai. I wanted to like this place since they’re relatively new and deliver, but I’ll stick to Bangkok Garden for now.

I hate not to love this place because 1. the staff and owners are so warm and friendly 2. the restaurant is so bright and clean and 3. the portions are large with reasonable prices. But the food did not make up for it.
I am not Thai but I eat Thai food at least once a week and my college roommate of four years is Thai so I know what their dishes are suppose to taste like.
Do not expect authentic Thai food here. They may have tweaked the flavors to accommodate everyone’s taste buds. Huge lack of spice and a little too heavy on the sugar.

I’ve been desperately anticipating a Thai spot in Hackensack that delivers on not just quality but consistency, and so far Jaidee hasn’t disappointed. I order at least once a week/​every other week. and service is prompt, pricing is great, ingredients are fresh and so far almost everything I’ve tasted has been delicious.
They also have a great lunch special– an appetizer and main dish for $ 7, big portions.
I’d recommend their chicken and shrimp dumplings, very tasty.
Their curries are right on point
Basil dish is excellent (I ask for extra spice)
Pad Thai was a bid dry, the one time I tasted it. but my husband really enjoyed it and orders it frequently.
I wasn’t fond of their fish cakes as thy were a bit rubbery, but otherwise, I’d recommend it to anyone.

I had the curry puffs and chicken soup, this is a good place, lots of nice flavor. I hope this place does well.

What a nice addition to Hackensack. The food was amazing, fresh and authentic Thai. The lunch special is such a good deal for $ 7 you get an appetizer and a meal. In addition, the lunch selection includes all the popular thai dishes so you really can’t go wrong. The owner was very pleasant and he came out to speak to my boyfriend and I.
Thai food is certainly one of my favorite cuisines so I’m ver… y critical when it comes to Thai restaurants. The other Thai restaurants in Hackensack do not stand up to this establishment. I hope that Jaidee’s stays in business unlike many other businesses on Main Street. My only suggestion is that they improve the décor. Perhaps place some candles on the tables for the evening and a brighter paint color on the wall will create the ambiance this place is lacking. I took a menu home with me and plan on coming back often!
