I come here for one thing and one thing only: THAIFRIEDRICE. I’m obsessed and I have it at least once a week. I’ve tried fried rice from other Thai restaurants around the area and I can’t seem to find anything close to theirs. One of my peeves though is that they’ve forgotten on a number of occasions to make it spicy when asked. Other items I’ve tried on the menu are the pad thai and the fried ice cream and the Thai iced tea with boba. The pad thai was okay, nothing special. The fried ice cream was a disappointment. The fried part wasn’t crunchy and hot anymore, like it was made the day before and refrozen. The Thai iced tea was good but the tapioca added to it was bland.

By far the best thai food in Hackensack. Simple, pleasant, homey, inexpensive and good pad thai.

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Located in an inconspicuous block on Main St.(Ample Free Parking in Rear), my first impression was that it did not seem too busy, and it definitely was not the pinnacle of opulence in terms of décor. But I’m so glad I gave it a try! This has become a regular favorite for me and my family. They have a HUGE variety of dishes, and I can honestly say most of them are delicious. I started off with the regular Pad Thai and Thai Tea, which were great, but when I ventured off the beaten path, i found the tip of the iceberg of what Thai Food really was. Garlic Sauté beef, crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli, even Squid with chili and basil… I’m not a huge spice lover, so I always ask for it to be mild. The flavor is just as good. I even tried the Duck in Red Curry, which turned out to be one of my favorite dishes ever. And most of these dishes(which honestly fed about 2 each), were about $ 10 or less, making them a great value and delight. They even have lunch specials if you want to try smaller portions at lower prices! Definitely stop in and try… There’s a lot on the menu, but chances are, whatever you’ll try is sure to be authentic, fresh, and amazing.

I’m really sad… This used to be one of my fav Thai places, but oh man… How it has changed. 1. Services Server mouth had alcohol smell the first time he came, next time it was smoke smell. Water was never refilled, and hot tea was salty. Thai ice tea was not bad. However, the first time the cup was cracked, which caused the ice tea spilled. Server was going to change the cup instead of changing the entire ice tea. It was only when we asked that the entire ice tea was replaced. 2. Foods Everything… Let me repeat, everything was covered with oil… Also, most of the foods were not even hot. Seafood Tom Yum soup, sour sour sour… No other taste. Spring rolls, oh man… I could not believe how much the oil in the spring roll. Masaman curry… Sour, sour, sour, meat is so chewy. Ginger fish on hot plate… And the fish itself was cold. Noodle soup… Again, the soup was not hot. Fried rice and pad thai… Not bad, but man… Again the oil was disgusting. Sorry… I will never come back for sure… You are a memory for me Wondees.

A good place for Lunch or Dinner. The Lunch Special is a great deal (under $ 10.00) and most come with soup. They are good people, and will accommodate you as far as Hot/spicy degree added to the dish ordered. But be sure to make it a point to tell them

Ordered a small seafood soup and a bbq satay. The seafood soup surprisingly very delicious and awesome lol. I wanted to take a pic, but I forgot about that after my second spoon. Next time I’m in the area I’ll def visit again

My husband and I have been coming to Wondee for more than 10yrs and the food is consistently amazing! We now live about 45mins away and we still make the trip just for Wondee!

The service is good. Nothing major about it. I notice the food taste much fresh when ordering lunch specials. My favorite is a simple fried rice with the tomatoes and other veggys. I’ll add shrimp or eggs only. Also, i love pineapple fried rice, shrimp pad Thai and my fried ice cream… yes, fried ice cream. Price is great for lunch specials. I’d say I’d pick this spot over Luck Thai BBQ for price and taste, but quantity isn’t there.

This place used to be great and was my go to Thai restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years. However, recently they switched owners and everything has gone downhill. The dishes are never a consistent taste and their portion size is definitely smaller. Maybe I came in on a bad day, but if they keep this up they’ll soon go out of business.

I work down the street from them. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced. I especially enjoy the pad graprow with tofu, and they spice it nicely. I have eaten here, and the service is friendly. Be careful with takeout, as sometimes the containers are not sealed well and leak.

Our favorite for authentic Thai food for years. Alas, Wondee has retired(thanks for all the great food Wondee!!) and things are not the same. Food served on chipped dishes, different flavor in favorite dishes, etc. Main language of the staff now seems to be Chinese rather than Thai as before.

First of all the Ocean of Garlic is phenomenal. All the seafood in the dish was tender and flavorful and nothing was greasy. The pickled veggies that accompany the dish go perfect with all the garlicky seafood. The pad see ew was good, but I had a much more flavorful one at Sapphire Thai Food Express in Teaneck. But the Ocean of Garlic at Wondee was outstanding. The pineapple fried rice is fabulous as well. Five stars on these two dishes alone!!!

Not returning. Large potions that I had no desire to finish. Both the pad Thai and Thai fried rice were disappointing. Not worth the money. The pad Thai was congealed with little taste. Both the shrimp and tofu were overlooked — I’m not a fan of rubbery textured food. The fried rice had huge chunks of tomatoes — am I missing something? The thome yum koong soup was equally awful. Overdone chicken with canned mushrooms in a broth that is off and way too spicy(especially when I asked for it not to be.) Ordered to go — a shame it is barely edible since it’s so convenient.

I have only ordered to go from here. However, the staff is friendly each time. My mother is in love with their phở noodles here. I’m a big fan of their green curry and pad thai. If you like Thai food, this is a great place to go and also, reasonably priced.

I’ve been eating at Wondee’s restaurant for around 10 years. This restaurant offers an excellent food quality to price ratio. Expect large portions of quality Thai food at a fair price; no bells and whistles here. If you’re looking for a high-end restaurant with a nice atmosphere for a date this is not the place. What to eat: I have tried several offerings from their menu, but I routinely find myself ordering the Chicken Maassamon curry with a nice Thai Iced Tea. Now that expectations have been properly set, go plant yourself down in front of a heaping pile of Thai food and get your ‘sweat on’!

Wondee’s is my favorite Thai spot in Bergen County. It’s cheap with no frills compared to the other spots. The food is especially tasty. My go-to is the pad kee mao, extremely spicy. I like to tell them to make me regret my decision and they never fail to please. The Thai Iced Tea is good too, not too sweet. Everything is hot and fresh. The décor could use work, and the staff could learn a bit more English, but it’s definitely a good spot for a great meal.

I only had the seafood small soup$ 4.50 and cucumber thai salad for $ 4. The seafood soup was honestly a really nice portion, it smelled like wet dog crap, but tasted pretty good. It had a mussle, two shimp, 3 bay scallops and a few pieces of imitation squid. Ick. But honestly it wasnt bad. The salad was plain and borring, the«dressing» was super sweet and watery and greasy. Who the hell charges $ 2 for peanut satay sauce on the side? This place does, how terrible.
