Mi Rancho

this place is wonderful! if you like mexican food this is the place to go… the service is perfect and they are always so nice, the food always fresh and amazing. i tell everyone to go here! i dont not have one bad thing to say about this place. once friends asked me to go to panchos burritios with them in new milford, and i was disgusted, i couldnt believe people ate there. people go here you will see the difference in quality.

Really good Mexican food is hard to find in the northeast, but this is the closest authentic Mexican I have had since leaving southern California. Got the combo plate, and it was great! Good food, and very reasonable prices.

I like to try mexican food every place I go to. When I moved to hackensack I didn’t have much expectations after tasting all the delicious mexican in corona queens. But I was so wrong. This place is just amazing. As with most mexican places they serve their free house made nachos and salsa as soon as you are seated. You get to know a lot about a mexican restaurant by the taste of the salsa and this was nice and chunky. I ordered a Chicken Enchilada. It comes with rice and beans, guac, salsa and sour cream on the side. It was super delicious and I couldn’t care less that my mouth was on fire as I kept gobbling up the food. I wanted to try the flan but was so full that I couldn’t have it. Well there’s always next time.
And they offer delivery. Yayy!

Love this place! ONLY bad thing is that when you order for delivery they give you such a small portion of the chips & salsa, no matter the size of your group…
Other than that, prices are great, food’s amazing… Nice people too :)

If I could give it a minus I would. Delivery was awful!!! Waited two and a half hours for food order and still waiting… I get it they were busy but let the consumer know before hand that there would be a long wait. Terrible customer service!!! Never again I don’t care how good the food tastes

Cinco d’Mayo! Good food served with a smile. had the steak & chicken fajitas. Tender meat with crisp vegetables. Salsa was ok. All around good for a relaxing meal.

Now I’m not one to complain as we order from here all the time. We are always looking for a «healthier» alternative and found my coworkers and I ordering the salads which are generally very good. But aside from getting soggy hard tacos because delivery takes so long, our last straw was when we received two different salads on the same day with two different bugs in them. One had a fly, the other a ladybug. I understand things like this happen but I gotta be honest :(just makes me question how well they prepare and clean their food. Extremely disappointed and won’t be going back

The restaurant is clean, I was greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. The food was nicely presented, fresh and delicious. A nice find in Hackensack. Worth a visit if you’re in the mood for Mexican food.

Based on other Unilocalers reviews and hospital food fatigue, I called in a delivery order to Mi Rancho for the Mini Empanitas and a Carne Esada platter. The restaurant was gracious enough to deliver to HUMC and a nurse kind enough to accept the delivery at the main desk on my behalf.
Now, about the food. The mini Empanitas were filled with a creamy, almost refried combo of crabmeat and corizo. The outsides were crispy, yet soft, and the I could tell what provided the heat, either the filling or the accompanying dipping get sauce, but I each bite was as good as the last.
Due to dietary restrictions, I had to order my Carne Asada well done, but it arrived with a generous amount of well seasoned beef, Mexican rice, refried beans, a side salad, three flour tortillas, a small bag of chips, salsa, and some guacamole and sour cream cream! I deftly constructed my wraps with a big piece of beef, some rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. I still had enough of the freshly made salsa and guacamole/​sour cream to enjoy with the freshly made tortilla chips. For just over 21 with a 5 dollar tip, my outside indulgence arrived within 30 mins, fresh and hot. This sort of quality and service will make to pay a visit next time I am in Hackensack looking for a BYOB gem for authentic Mexican cuisine with some surprisingly bold differences.

Love this place! Order delivery from them all the time, pleasant young and energetic employees, including the delivery driver! Fast service and delivery, no need to give the your credit card # over the phone, delivery drivers comes with his iPad ready to scan your credit card! Food is fresh, delicious and hot!

Ordered take out from here. Had fish tacos well cooked tasty & salad on top was also delicious. Sauces were also good. Despite casual feel to environment. Food is well worth the visit. No liquor license BYOB.

mi rancho is a really great place where you can find that texmex. flaber in their food … i recomend getting the salmon relleno with a fresh lemonade toped with a elado frito for desert.

Consistently fresh and deliciously prepared food. Friendly and extremely professional staff. One of, if not best, delivery option in Haversack. Dining room, equally enjoyable experience.

We were visiting grandma and we were hungry so thanks to Unilocal I was able to find this restaurant and put my order in. The food came quick and everything was delicious. We ordered chicken soup for grandma and she really enjoyed it. My mother and I got the lunch steak fajitas and the portions were big. The steak was delicious and everything tasted fresh. We ordered churros and although there was a delivery mix up we did get them and we enjoyed them. We also got warm tortilla chips with salsa and it too was tasty and fresh. The Jamaica juice was amazing. I would definitely order from here again when I come to visit grandma.

Great small place. Very attentive staff. Free salsa and chips. Salsa is perfect, not too hot and not too watery. I jad the sopes, steak, chorizo, and chicken. Chorizo was not spicy and was cooked crispy in small cubes. The steak had great flavor and was very tender and cut in small strips. Chicken had great taste, seasoned perfect and was pulled and shreaded. The sopes was made of fresh maza, took longer to cook since is made to order and not pre made. One of the top and authentic Mexican joints. Missed 5 stars because they were out of Jamaica water (hibiscus ice tea) I had the Jamaica here before and is not the best but still very tasty

I came here for dinner with Boo Boo after a florist appointment.
Boo Boo got the chicken burritto with no beans. I forgot what platter it was but it was really good. But, there was a small beef taco, chili relleno, and an enchillada. Both entrees came with rice and beans.
This place is really really good. I saw a few mexican people come pickup their large takeout order.
The water was very ‘tappy’ so get a soda. I also got the horchata but it was really sweet. I had to dilute it with the ‘tappy’ water.
Pollo Mario is nearby. Both places are worth a drive to dine at for very affordable dinner.

Quiet for a Friday night. We were concerned but everything was fine.
Started with guacamole, which was excellent — among the best I’ve tasted. The salsa is nice too. The waiter was very polite and willing to accommodate my child’s limited Mexican palate. He whipped up a queso dip, which isn’t on the menu, to give my boy something to dip his chips into. Very nice. BYOB and they can make frozen drinks for you. The steak fajita was excellent; the enchilada platter my wife had was very fresh and flavorful but could have used a bit more sauce. The deep fried ice cream dessert was OK — we remember a place we used to frequent years ago that actually deep fried the ice cream — amazing! Mi Rancho, among others, roll the ice cream in some fried crunch batter and then call it deep fried ice cream.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend Mi Rancho!
