Rosa Mexicano

I do not know why this place is averaging 3 out of 5 stars. I went with a group of friends for dinner and had a great experience. The service was totally on point, which is refreshing because that is starting to become super hard to find, and the food was GREAT. Our server Julio was attentive, friendly, and so quick with everything. Yes, it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for in my opinion. The margaritas are all made with fresh lime juice and weren’t weak on the tequila like a lot other places I’ve been.
Very pleased, will be back.

This place got me into avocado and guacamole!
They make the guac on a cart right in front of you which was entertaining to watch. Both the guacamole and the chips tasted great except if you don’t really like raw onions you might find it a bit strong in the guac! Rice and beans were my favorite!

Food was great, prices were a bit too high. They have some kind of creamed corn side dish — over 5 stars
The braised beef tacos — 4.5 stars. Much improved, went here a few years back and wasn’t impressed.

It’s easy to find quick tasty tacos but here you find so much more. From great sangria and strong cocktails and their table side guacamole to start a wonderful meal. Thank Rosa Mexicano for everything and you get finish with tres leches that is over the top

I’m used to dining in the city so I don’t mind paying money for quality food and drinks, however I was extremely upset at how much rosa Mexicano in the river side mall RIPPED ME OFF. I paid 70 dollars for 2 extremely WATERED DOWN pitchers of sangria. Honestly worst sangria I’ve even had in my life. It tasted like diluted juice. And then we paid 30 dollars for chips and guacamole for the table (lol) I mean really, I know the price of avocados are going up but 30 dollars for a small amount of guac is a little excessive, don’t ya think? The server and the hostess were very short with us. Not personable at all. For the price I expected great food, drinks and service yet I received none of the above.

Where do I start. This place is amazing doesn’t compare to any mexican restaurants on the east coast. Being from the west coast, its hard to find quality mexican food and I would have to say this place is superb. Great service, ambiance, and awesome food. The table side guac is amazing. Their entrees will not disappoint. I usually get the tortilla soup (out of this world) and Tampiquena de carne asada with a perfect amount of spice and tons of flavor. THE PERFECT BITE. OH! and their margaritas are made with fresh squeezed lime juice and only the best tequilas. They offer a wide variety of quality tequilas and if you’re looking to expand your tequila pallet, this is the place to be! HENRIQUE was our server and let me tell you he’s TOP NOTCH. Its hard to find professional waiters that offer quality service without being overly intrusive. Paul the manager is extremely accommodating. He was very welcoming and professional and we always have a great time here. Been coming here for years HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

3.5 I met a friend for happy hour a couple of weeks ago. I’ll start by saying that their drinks are pretty tasty. I had the bottomless guac, which was made fresh and very tasty. Their queso fundido and tacos were also tasty. The drinks are a little pricey though. Happy hour drinks are made with well drinks, which are just a headache in a bottle. Go have some food and drinks. ENJOY!!!

First time here, let’s start off on a good note.
Service was great from the moment we walked in until we left at our bill.
Empanadas were amazing, would be nice if they had four on the plate. Makes more sense esp since it’s an app for couples sharing. Rice, corn, beans was great. Sangria was strong, totally worth it!
My main complaint was the tacos, they came out cold & the slaw in them isn’t a good combination taste wise. I wasn’t going to say anything but the waitress had noticed we didn’t eat them so she asked why. The manger had taken them off the bill & on top of that didn’t charge us for our pitcher on sangria or dessert.
I was very surprised & felt like they really took what I said into consideration. Thank you & I would deff come back !

Looked like a good place to stop for dinner.
Sat at a high top table in the bar. Ordered beer and fresh made guacamole molcajete. It was delicious! Then had the Tres Enchiladas. Very good as well (one beef, and two chicken with different sauces).
Service was a bit slow, but we had time so that did not become a big deal.

Alright mixed feelings… We arrived and we’re looking to enjoy happy hour. They say us at a regular table and when we asked for the happy hour menu they told us we had to go to the bar. We went back to the hostess and she just gave us attitude and told us to find a seat. Well there wasn’t one. We stood around and waited for an area to free up.
We ordered a pitcher of margaritas which was delicious and enough for four of us. We ordered the table side Guacamole which I loved. It’s unlimited during happy hour which is awesome. They also have $ 3 tacos on the happy hour menu… Would not recommend those they were just blah. They have $ 5 quesadillas which come two to an order. They were pretty good.
Overall I think I would just come back for the drinks and happy hour guac. Based off the happy hour food I think it’s overpriced and not worth it unless you’re getting the unlimited guac deal for $ 15.

Service was excellent. Drinks were great as well. Food, however, was horrible. This was our second attempt at Rosa. It is unfortunate that the food is subpar. The guacamole, our appetizer, is excellent but our dinners arrived cold. My wife’s fish tacos should have been warmer than it was. I had the skirt steak and the portion for the price paid was extremely small. The enchiladas that my daughter and son ate was smothered in sauce not allowing them to actually taste the enchiladas.
Overall, we were truly disappointed with Rosa Mexicano. Our search for a great Mexican restaurant marches on.
If you truly enjoy great Mexican food, Rosa Mexicano is not the place for you.
The three stars were for the service not the food. Otherwise, I would have given them just one star.

This is strictly based on their happy hour. The drinks are pretty much half off on their happy hour menu and the food menu as well, both are pretty reasonably priced for the area. The original frozen margarita is $ 12 and during happy hour is $ 6. I come here often enough sometimes just to relax after work or meet up with a couple friends. Service is on point and their homemade guacamole is awesome. This is literally my favorite happy hour spot

My friends and I were choosing either PF Changs or Rosa’s. We decided Rosa’s because there was no wait. Thank God we did. This place is definitely trendy but more importantly, the food was delicious.
It’s a very modern take on classic Mexican cuisine but it works!
I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos. Delicious. Our service was impeccable and the hostess were very friendly and very serviceable. I want to come back for Valentine’s Day. They have a specific dinner menu for that night. I suggest you go here instead of PF Chang’s or the Italian restaurant right next too it.

On a Sunday it’s happy hour all day here. The margaritas are standard for a chain, nothing special at all. With happy hour you can only have 1 flavored option and that’s mango.
I don’t eat guac but my friends liked it and had 3 refills for 1 price. You can tell them how hot you want it too.
The nachos were ok. Too soggy at the end for me. The cheeses were good though and the level of spice was a good balance.
The chicken tacos were ok, nothing special either. Small too.
I wouldn’t come back here, not worth it. The sevice was sub par too in the bar area.

Its Ok!
Its a fancier upscale mexican restaurant. So if you are looking for a nice quiet place — this may be the place for you. While the food is fresh and good it kinda gives you that «chain restaurant feel». They do make a killer guacamole right there table side. the rest of the food is nothing to brag home about though. It’s good and solid but nothing special.

I love it here. From the friendly bartenders to the great drinks, what else can I say. The guacomole is super fresh as they make it when you order. The fresh is always fresh and I really like the ceviche. I have had the tacos, the salmon, the quesidillas, all good. The bar is usually lively on a Friday night and don ‘t forget those happy hour specials! Love those! Enjoy!

This was a long time coming, I’m finally here, thanks job!
First thing’s first, we got guac for our chips& salsa-​so spicy & so good. I ordered a margarita on the rocks with sugar-​perfection. Lunch was flautas con pollo for me and braised short rib tacos for the boss. Rice & beans were a wonderful accompaniment to our dishes. This little piggy got churros! Everything was so full of flavor and just what I needed for lunch. I will be back!

Great restaurant. The bar is nice, the ambience feels somewhat fun and festive, with some tables that have more of a date setting.
All the food that I ordered here was good. It wasn’t great but all the food taste fresh, well made, not as spicy as I’d like but overall was cooked great.
Guacamole was great
Ordered the expresso flan, it tastes exactly as it is tittled. I’m not a fan but it was impressive for tasting exactly that way.

Came by on a Saturday and the wait time was «20 minutes» about 40 minutes later we were called for out table.
Been here before but it’s been a few years so I was excited to see how this place would be. Service was great, our waiter was helpful. We started off with guacamole which they make fresh at your table.
They currently have a special for 2 that gives you an app, 2 entrées, and 1 dessert. Not too shabby. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with suizas sauce, which is my favorite and go to meal. Good size meal, really filling, I even had to take some home. My sister ordered the Baja Tacos which she enjoyed.
We both had margaritas, I had the mango frozen and she had the pomegranate. Do I think this is authentic Mexican absolutely not but it’s decent place to eat.
