I had exceptional experience with Lowes Millwork department. I had my windows installed in my basement and back door with storm door installed. The end result was beautiful! I went through Chris in sales and Mark for the carpentry and installation. They both were very accommodating, easy to work with, and Mark and his team did beyond what I expected for quality work. I live in an old 1912 house and so my back door had to be custom ordered. Mark was able to apply trim to the door so I could go with an «on the shelf size» to save money. His work was great. Services were a lot cheaper than many other offers that were made.

This is consistently the lamest Lowes location one can run across. Customer service is indifferent and often will misguide you.
It’s so consistently bad that I have to believe it is top down problem.

I received excellent service! I went in to buy a chainsaw for my (65 year old) mother to use, and the lady in the seasonal department was super helpful! We got one that works perfectly! It is light, and fit our specifications perfectly.

Terrible service. A woman named «Ember» could not check us out
correctly. Could not find the landscape brick we were trying to buy
in their chart. I told her it was 2.59 $. She started scanning random bricks in her catalog to try to find the brick. I told her then after 5 minutes of this that I don’t want the bricks now. She was upset because they sent a runner to find the price who never came back. Ember became upset at this and said «I don’t understand» I told her I do not want the bricks now because of the delay.
She was angry and said again «I don’t understand, you don’t want them now because we could not find the price?» I said yes. She had a terrible attitude and was very condescending. I will not shop at this Lowes again and I will tell everyone not to shop here as well.

Overall, poor customer service and lack of selection!
The workers (well once you find one!) kind of just mill around talking to each other and DO NOT know building materials at all.
I gave it a shot and then went to Home Depot (it’s just down the street). I was greeted by two employees the minute I walked in and found what I needed very quickly. What a difference!

5-star review for the service, particularly from Ron in the Painting department.
Way better experience than I’ve ever had at Home Depot.
He was super helpful, and extra patient with me and my friends — who had no idea what we wanted or how to do it. Even better, when we returned a few days later he remembered us and asked how the projects were going.
