Small place, often crowded, and for good reason. It’s clean, and the food is awesome! Definitely recommend.

Easy to miss, but worth finding. Yesterday was the first time being there and it exceeded expectations. The atmosphere is very laid back and the dining area is small, making it feel real. Along with the actual room, Dolce’s menu is loaded and there appetizer bread rolls are amazing. Finally settling on lasagna and a small pizza to test out(more like a medium), I was surprised to get a taste of some actual tomato. To keep it short, the pizza was a game changer and the lasagna wasn’t far behind. I’ll be headed back to try some more menu items.(to add– service was perfect. They didn’t overcrowd you, but still kept checking in.)

First time. Not what you would expect from looking at the outside but a great cozy setting inside. We had heard this was a great place and it didn’t dissapoint. Staff was very friendly and food was fresh and delicious! Took our own wine and they supplied the glasses.

Rather standard, generic food for what they have to offer. But, the service is nice.

A fantastic find in Hagerstown, perfect for after skiing at Whitetail. Very casual dining with an extensive menu. Husband ordered stuffed shells, daughter ordered cheese ravioli, I ordered vegetable Stromboli. Everything was very good, even the house salads, which are usually blah, because there was something unique about each dish. I especially noticed this with the balsamic vinaigrette and the cheese in the ravioli(I’m convinced I tasted a subtle bit of cloves). After dinner they brought us a plateful of fried pieces of dough with honey and powdered sugar – on the house. I normally don’t go for that sort of thing, but it was hot and crispy… Definitely worth a stop!

Delicious down to earth Italian homestyle cooking. This is your comfort food stop complete with a yummy garlic roll as a free starter and fried dough with powdered sugar as a gratis at the end of the meal. I had their«French grilled chicken salad» — with their homemade vinaigrette — it wasn’t a fancy salad, but it hit the spot. My daughter had their cheese ravioli and really enjoyed them, my husband had to be stopped before he ate a huge platter of moussaka. This is a great option for a family friendly dinner in Hagerstown.

Dolce has, by far, THEBEST home-style Middle Eastern food I’ve encountered since moving outside the DC metro area,(more than 15 years ago). Superb customer service, quality, fresh ingredients, meals prepared to order, all served in a quaint family atmosphere. Good place for singles, couples, families, and families with young children. They do have a kids menu and children are treated well. Prices are reasonable and portions are large;(I look forward to bringing home left overs for the next day’s lunch)! ‘Mama Julia’ is always in the kitchen, cooking and overseeing everyone, and everything. She’s the quintessential little European Grandma you’d expect find in any good kitchen… The atmosphere is simple and casual — that of a typical neighborhood pizza shop. But their pizza is far from typical. Hand tossed crisp dough, tangy flavorful sauce, fresh sliced mozzarella, creamy ricotta, and a variety of available crisp, fresh veggies, and savory meats. The four cheese pizza is perfect! The only downside, it is hard to share, you may want to eat the whole thing yourself! They have a handful of small tables, however, they do not object to pushing tables together for larger parties, in fact they seem to appreciate large families, and will accommodate a table of 10 just as easily as a table for two. There are about 8 — 10 tables yet somehow there is always room for their ‘guests’. We have never had to wait for a table, they always find room. No customer is ever overlooked, and we always leave feeling like guests in Julia’s home. The wait staff smiles easily, is eager to accommodate, and readily offers suggestions when asked. This small establishment is clearly run by family, and all of the staff appear to be treated as such. A general feeling of comfort and jovial happiness surrounds the kitchen, and spreads to the surrounding tables easily. They do not have a liquor license, but the wait staff will be happy to provide wine glasses for those who choose to BYOW(bring your own wine), or beer. They’ll even offer a spot in the cooler for the customer’s convenience to keep your beverages cold. They serve a variety of Italian, middle-Eastern, Greek, and other European delights. Everything you could hope for from Gyros, to lasagna, to stuffed cabbage, eggplant parmesan, moussaka, Chicken Moldavia, to subs and so much more, all available for your dining pleasure. I highly recommend the rice chicken, and have a hard time ordering anything else(fresh, white meat, chicken tenders simmered with vegetables in a savory rich tomato sauce with herbs and beautiful, fluffy rice). They do seem to have a large carryout business, but you will miss out on so much more than a dining experience by doing so. When dining in guests are welcomed with buttery garlic knots or fresh made rolls when seated. Waiters & waitresses promptly reward guests with a crisp salad topped with fresh mozzarella. I highly recommend the house balsamic vinaigrette. As if that’s not enough, meals are generously followed by warm, soft, handmade donuts … much like a fried dough or funnel cake, cooked to order, of course, lusciously sprinkled with powdered sugar. Perfect food, accompanied by excellent, personable, and speedy service. Some may describe this as a charming establishment; although I believe that it is simply good food, served with love, by Mom, or Grandma, that brings that overall feeling of contentment, it’s a Zen like experience. Casual dining doesn’t get much better than this!

Well finally went to Dolce. Convinced my wife and a friend to join me. She had the eggplant parmigiana, he had a Cheesesteak«The Works» and I had the stuffed cabbage. Yes, it is a hole in the wall but the food is excellent. Before we could get out the door they even put fried dough covered with powdered sugar on the table, which is so addicting. We really enjoyed the place.

This folks is why I love Unilocal.A few months ago, I came across this culinary gem while perusing Unilocal while trying to find a new pizza joint. Have been back several times since! The pizza is very good, and always wanting to try something new, I went to the European Dinners section of the menu and have had the moussaka and the tochitura moldoveneasca(the waiter says that wayyyyyy better than I did.) both meals were fresh and delicious! The staff is always friendly and accommodating and give you ‘after dinner donuts’ every time. Try the cannoli!

This was our first visit here. It’s interior is small and cozy. We were greeted right away and taken to a table. The waiter was very friendly. We ordered chicken cacciatore and steak stromboli. The chicken dish was very good. I loved the button mushrooms and the spices were right on. The steak stromboli was amazing! We have never had better. Usually we have to slather stromboli in the sauce. It would be a travesty to dip it in the sauce. The flavor of the steak and cheese, the flaky crust, the juices from the meat were perfect. My fiancée could not quit praising it. We got the large for $ 15 and it was huge. We will definitely be returning. Also, the side salads were the best we’ve had. Extra vegis on them with slivers of some type of white cheese, and croutons. Perfect.

One of my «foodie» friends recommended this place to me so I decided to give them a shot don’t let the curb appeal fool you this is a great restaurant when we were seated we were given some homemade rolls which were really tasty I got the Stromboli and it was great my friends got a pizza which had three different types of cheese everyone liked their food and the family owned staff was very nice and attentive after we finished we received a complimentary desert which resembled a funnel cake we were very pleased with the service and will be definitely returning.

I am solely reviewing the pizza. The woman that works there is really nice and i’ve heard great things about their other dishes, i just wish they made better pizza. While the sauce had a decent consistency and was seasoned well, there was way too much of it. It made the dough soggy and limp. The dough itself was not crispy enough underneath and was too dense, it should have been a bit more airy. The cheese was average as were the toppings.

Stopped through on our way to DC. So glad we did! Food was delicious! They started us with garlic rolls before we even ordered. We tried the Cabbage Rolls, stuffed shells, steak& cheese sandwich, a huge bowl of bean soup. All is home made and wonderful. They bring fried donuts to you at the end of your meal. There were 4 of us and we left w/to go bags. It was too good to leave on the table! The people were so nice and so friendly. The place is a little hole in the wall, but so worth the stop!
