My friend who recently moved to Maui recommended this tiny shop for coffee and snacks. After our treacherous road to Hana drive we stopped by for coffee. The iced coffee was great, drank it black it didn’t need any sugar or milk. The thing that forced me to review this place was the lilikoi bars!!! Just like a lemon bar but 10000x better! If you stop by be sure to grab one of those amongst any of their other yummy treats.

This place is a gem in hills of Maui. Fresh baked pastries. Flaky croissants. Great breakfasts and lunches. Just a hop up the road from the Hana Highway makes this a perfect place to have breakfast before heading to Hana.

Small little dinner that has unbelievable, well made simple American breakfast food. French toast was a thicker sliced, slightly waffled textured. Will be stopping here a few times on my trip for sure If you go, you MUST purchase the Cosmo bar!

Stopped by at lunch time and had an awesome time. Really good coffee, baked goods and salads. Even though it was noon, the service was super fast! I’ve seen reviews that spoke of slow service but certainly not my experience. We will come back!

Awesome breakfast. We toured a few waterfalls today. We started with a great breakfast at Baked on Maui. We split the French toast and the Popeye omelette. Great seating outside and the food was wonderful. Very reasonable prices. When you are traveling to this location you will think you are lost. It is up some back road and you won’t feel like you are near civilization. But quickly the road opens up and there is a small little town and the restaurant is on your left. A great meal. Will be back.

I ordered a vanilla latte. Hands down, the BEST latte I’ve ever had. For breakfast, I ordered the strawberry french toast. It looked delicious in pictures. The French Toast was very tasty, but it seemed like the strawberry syrup was sweetened way too much. I’d recommend the French toast, but opt out of the strawberries. My boyfriend order a skillete(tasted great) and a side of bavon… do yourself the favor and try their bacon! :P. Overall, we had a great experience and would come back if we were ever in the area! :)

Tucked into a place you would not expect, this little gem still shines unlike the rest. Ok so that was a weird way to start this review but you know me. First thing first, the clerk is super helpful friendly and cute I mean really cute. The selection is very good I would say, the pastry and breads are fresh and yummy, the sandwiches are super good and once again the service is outstanding. Mind you I walked across the street from the parking spot bare foot due to going hiking and getting stuck in some mud just before getting my appetite, I was not evicted for entering with no shoes or slippers, this is a plus in my book. Additionally, the place does put you at ease quite quick, the tables inside and outside are comfortable and user friendly with pets to pet running around and just an over all great spot to be in. If you are traveling the lands in UpCounty Maui, you may just find me here for a number of reasons :) Happy Eats.

A great stop before road to Hana. Nice selection of freshly brewed coffees. My cappuccino was excellent. It went well with the home baked ginger cookie. We were just passing through a board shapers shop and stumbled upon this place. Won’t regret.

I got the Royale with cheeseburger and mm that is a tasty burger Vincent and Jules would be down on this burger. It has amazing sauuce combination and the mushrooms and onions are cooked to a great point the party isn’t tough and the bread/bun though white is down right tasty and great texture tasty, cheddar and bacon Good pickle. All in all very happy about my purchase here why 4* not 5 I don’t like the to go packaging and though I enjoy the bun white bread is my current enemy in my carb and sugar fight. I will update to let you know how it taste after a day in the refrigerator. Does it beat Colleen’s bacon cheddar burger and fries no but I am a diehard Colleen’s fan and their fries are my style of liking, would I buy this again or try other items of baked on Maui menu after this Ooooooo YEAH!!! That was a tasty burger will be back and I have my eyes on their French toast also. Happy to buy and happy to tip here. Had French toast also it’s was great!

Probably a 2 or 3 star place, but they really struck out with me. Stopped in with my wife for a late morning snack and ordered the Popeye omelet to share. You order/pay at the counter, and they hand you a little pot with a number on it. We then grabbed a seat outside and began the wait. After almost 20 min, I went inside to see what was up.(There was no one else there when we arrived.) The girl at the counter asked what I needed, and I told her I still hadn’t received my omelet. I also noticed that a couple who had come after us had recently gotten food. Girl #1 went to talk to a girl in back, who went to the couple and asked if they got what they had ordered. The lady said no, and it was pretty obvious that it was MY omelet sitting in front of her. I could literally see the wheels turning in Girl #2’s head as she tried to decide if she was going to pick up the plate off the couple’s table and serve it to me. Ultimately, she decided not to, and came over to me and said«I’m really sorry for the wait, but it’s going to be a few more seconds for your order.» So the first omelet took 15 minutes to make, but now the second is just going to magically appear in a few seconds? That really pissed me off, but I just went back outside to wait and try to enjoy my vacation with my wife. The food finally arrived ~10 min later. Strike three. The«home fries» were incinerated potato wedges, with skin. A third of them you could almost break your teeth on, a third were just barely edible, and the remainder a normal consistency but still not much in the way of flavor. Portion was small, but we really didn’t want any more. The omelet was better but a long way from good: very small, not enough salt, and the egg had no volume to it at all – almost like it was watered down or something. Bottom line, we paid $ 12 to sit around for 30 minutes to get below-average food that we finished in 5 minutes. Really wish we’d just gotten a couple of the premade breakfast sandwiches at Kuau Store instead.

Really cute little spot with indoor-outdoor seating(shaded) and an outside water bowl for dogs. The girls working were quick and polite, the coffee was delicious, and the Turkey BLT I got is now my favorite sandwich on the island! The bread looked super thick to me when I saw it, but after taking a bite it was actually fluffy and delicious – not heavy at all! All in all, it was an extremely pleasant experience and I’ll certainly be back to try their breakfasts!

I was staying in Haiku for a weekend on Maui and decided to check this place out for breakfast. So glad I did! My boyfriend and I split the Popeye omelette and the fully loaded waffle. We demolished it, so delicious. The omelette came with home fries and toast. The bread was fresh and tasty. The waffle was crispy with the perfect amount of chocolate chips & fruit topping. The coffee had a nice flavor, as well. Friendly staff. Good prices. Cool spot with lots of seating inside and outside. Wish this place was on Oahu, will definitely return next time on Maui!

Cute bakery in the old cannery bakes a variety of goods right there. Service is friendly and quick and the cashier was calm and cheery even when there was a line out the door. The food is really fresh and yummy! The caprese sandwich has a lot of flavor and the ham and cheese sandwich is very filling. The baked salt and pepper fries are an interesting alternative to French fries.

This place is awesome to kick it in the morning in Haiku and meet up with your friends, see what everyone is doing for their day– Hang out with some AWESOME kids and beautiful doggies outside on the patio. Decent coffee, and there’s some stuff on the menu I enjoy for sure. Usually there’s someone awesome at the counter. 90% of people who work there are sweet and decent and interesting. MUCH outdoor seating, they just expanded their seating area. They always have bowls of water out for dogs, and little birds come and battle each other for crumbs. That being said– This place has a very limited kitchen– hence BAKED on maui. They can make basic eggs, but beyond that it’s baked. My number one issue with this spot, and the reason for the three star rating– is that there are VERYFEW healthy items edible here. Sometimes I can get eggs, but there is no wheat bread– just white. Everything is OVERLOADED with sugar. The baked goods are overly sweet. In a community full of such healthy, and whole foods based people– it really boggles my mind. There should be a few things on the menu that are savory without flour or sugar. There rarely are– sometimes they have a gluten free breakfast biscuit that is packed with sugar. It would be so simple to create a menu of a few things that people can eat. I only eat here if I’m seriously treating myself because no matter what I get it either is covered in sugar or full of white flour. Nooooooooooo. Please Baked on Maui. It doesn’t seem to be hurting business– and maybe they know that if they had a bunch of healthy items there would be lines way out the door and it would simply be too much. Coffee is decent, and really I love it because of seeing my beautiful friends and giving a hug and a smile to get our day started.

My overall rating for this place is 3 stars, based on the following: Food Taste & presentation — based on what we ordered, ‘Popeyes Omelette’ — this was okay. I was expecting fluffy, lively, cooked just right, & of course, tasty. The omelette was just so-so, a little overcooked. Presentation was okay, nothing special. I’m used to ‘generous’serving of omelettes in California, like at the Old Pancake House on Convoy St. This was nothing like that — I would say it was the equivalent of two small eggs. The serving portion is very small here. Atmosphere — I liked it a lot — casual, clean, no rush; got to enjoy the outdoor seating, friendly staff. I would say this is the best feature of this restaurant. Food Pricing — for $ 10 – 12 omelette, I was expecting more value for my money, which unfortunately, I didn’t get this time. During this stay, we don’t plan to return. perhaps another time.
