Excellent food. Great service. Beautiful waitresses. What’s not to like. We ordered the hang over cute and the hand omelette. Both are just spot on. It really was a tasty meal with properly done ingredients and really, really nice service. Great job to the crew here. You need to open up a shop close my home in California :)

I ordered the breakfast sandwich on sourdough and is one of the best I’ve ever had! Their iced mocha is pretty delicious too-plus it’s closer and cost less. Can’t wait to bring my man back to try it and the bar out

Good breakfast. Prompt friendly service. Clean. Decent prices too. I had basic breakfast. Home fries were super hot. Which is a change since most places seem to just plop a scoop of luke warm spuds on the plate. Eggs were made right. Pancakes looked good. No leftovers, so I guess he liked them. If I find myself in the area, would return. Would also recommend for breakfast, especially to start the Haleakala bike ride tour.

This is a great place to grab a meal. We went here immediately after landing on the island and enjoyed the stuffed croissant breakfast sandwiches. Not touristy, fair prices, great food, and a beautiful drive from the airport to get here– what more could you ask for?

A great neighborhood spot to grab a meal. Good salads and thick burgers. We have never been disappointed with the meals. Friendly staff adds to the pleasure of coming here. PS. Also a very good«non chain» pizza that surpasses the national chains

Great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Just an insider tip on brunch though; Monday through Friday they serve breakfast till 11am and on Saturday and Sunday till 11:30am. Friends don’t let friends drive to brunch without knowing the cutoff. I’ve enjoyed the«hangover cure» breakfast, ham and cheese omelet, and veggie omelet. You can pay extra($ 2.50 I recall) to get free range eggs too. Also, they serve nitrate free bacon. Colleens is clean, serves great food, and has plenty of close parking. For me, its the best brunch spot upcountry hands-down.

Went there for dinner & ordered a pizza, the waitress said we could do a ½ & ½ pizza which was Awesome! Great food & service. I had to order a Monster cookie to go since I was full at the restaurant. Will be coming back.

I was genuinely surprised and pleased with the food and service at Colleen’s. We went twice! We first had breakfast on our ride to Hana. The pastry was to die for. We then went for an early dinner. We didn’t know it was Happy Hour until we got there. It was reasonably priced and outstanding. Try the ahi burger. It was wonderful. This is exactly the kind of place to support — locally run and somewhat out of the way. We will come back.

The food was really good. We missed Filimon cooking. Pizza was hot and very tasty. The fish and chips were really good. The blue cheese bacon burger was good. Decent prices for really good food

My favorite burger, sweet potato fries and soup special shared with my gal. Always delicious and always friendly. For lunch and dinner; perhaps we could try sharing something different on the menu. But we come from Southside for great ride, food and service. And its affordable on our students budget. Even when its crowded and busy its worth the wait in Haiku.

Craving a burger so we decided on Colleen’s. Kid behind the line w/a black ball cap w/palm trees. Was a bit concerned because he was stuffing his face were everyone in the dining area could see. Ordered a burger for myself, my wife ordered a pizza(Trench) which was great. When I ordered my burger the waitress asked how I would like it cooked & I said MR more toward the Rare… When it arrived @ our table it looked great until I cut it in ½. This burger was Well done!!! Since the price went to $ 14.00 I thought it would be correct. Even the waitress asked the cook how hard was it to cook a burger… I did not have them cook a new one as I was concerned the kid may take out frustration on my order. Won’t be back because this has happened before & I work to hard to allow this when I go out. Think hard before you spend any money there…

The food was good and the ambiance is nice, but I agree with the other reviewers about the service. It is very slow, but we didn’t personally experience the rudeness. I’d go again, as long as we’re not in a hurry. I really enjoyed the croissant sandwich. Some of the fruit unfortunately tasted frozen.

I have been here many times and the food is always excellent. Service however, and getting food orders correctly seems to be a problem, especially today. I ordered the breakfast burrito with added organic(?) bacon. The problem is that bacon never made it into the burrito, and neither did the salsa. Needless to say, by the time I finally got at least a side of bacon and salsa, my burrito was cold. The burrito Did taste good, but just not done correctly. See photo. My friends got the other items shown and said they tasted delicious. Our server was just not with it today. It took forever to get just a glass of water to drink along with my coffee. Im disappointed today, Colleen’s. But I will Be back.

Absolutely fantastic place — down to earth, local, hormone free /organic wonderful food. Crispy chicken with kale salad, garlic/shrimp linguini and blue cheese burger with bacon, executed with perfection! Highly recommend this local dining place. I k ow we will return often in the next 5 days

Let me start by saying the we live in Haiku and frequent this restaurant a lot. The standards have declined over the last month. Tonight we got the Vodka Penne Pasta, the portion was super small, the chicken was cut into extra small chunks(not recognizable) and was super dry, my husband had the Shrimp Linguine, small serving size no taste and my daughter in law ordered a chicken sandwich on gluten free bun(she has celiac’s disease) which we were told they ran out of chicken when we went to pick up our order, so we got a burger on gluten free bun, waited 15 extra minutes, got home the burger was on a regular wheat bun. Had to go back to get a new burger, waited again, our reward was credit for the burger and 25% off the rest of the bill. We had lunch there a week ago, the food was bad. We decided to give them one more chance. Secondly, The service is terrible. Tonight was the third time I was put on hold when calling to place my take-out order, I could her the hostess help someone check out and I could hear the second phone ring, it was answered the person was told to please hold, within a minute the hostess was back on the phone taking their order while I remained on hold(my phone showed I was on hold for 8 minutes). We have made take-out orders and have gone in to eat in. The waitress’ seem to cater to tourist. Bad service and now bad food. We are so done with this restaurant. Haiku has plenty of other really good options.

I would give this place 3 ½ stars for food but then the French toast saved the day! My husband and I split a full order and I ordered eggs, bacon, toast and avocado from the a la carte menu. The poached eggs were presented in a round dish and had a lot of water which wasn’t the best. It wasn’t until after we finished that I remembered they forgot the toast ;) The bacon looked fried which was confusing but ummmm really delicious haha. The French toast was awesome though, with four big thick slices of sweet bread and a good portion of fruit.

We came here for a post-Haleakala sunrise breakfast after reading the great Unilocal reviews. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. My breakfast of champions(sautéed veggies, scrambled eggs, and Portuguese sausage) was pretty bland. The sausage was the only thing with much flavor at all. My husband got the breakfast burrito, and also found it so so. The service was inconsistent, but friendly(they forgot to bring the croissant we ordered until we reminded them towards the end of the meal — ironically, it was the best thing we ate there). To their credit, they did regularly come by to ask if we wanted coffee refills. Overall, this place was decent, but nothing remarkable.

Colleens is a perfect place for a relaxed date night or dinner with a group of friends(but no reservations so be prepared to wait). The dinning room is cozy and the waitress are beautiful in their own short and tight outfits. The Pau Hana crowd can enjoy pizza by the slice along with poke and other pupus. The Roasted Artichoke, Goat Cheese and Sun-Dried Tomato Pizza was light and had a thin crust. For Dinner, the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad is the best version I’ve had, great dressing, beautiful fresh cheese, and a unexpected beet purée on the bottom that adds to the beet-y-ness. Yummy! The Baby Back Ribs(half-rack) were porky and meaty, and on the firm side of tender. The sauce was too sweet and flat for me, but that’s a personal preference. The mashed potatoes are a good compliment and the side vegetable du jour was asparagus. Make sure to take a few pastries home with you to enjoy for breakfast. Their huge, flaky Croissants; sweet, shortbread crust Lemon Bars; and Mango Scones were enjoyed the next morning.
