I had the fish curry. They use Ono that makes it so Ono! My wife had the shrimp coconut curry. The spice mixture was so fresh.

Unique spices. Delicious coconut shrimp curry and mango lassi! Sweet owners, tranquil location and spiritual books to read while you wait for your super fresh food! Highly recommended.

Mmmmm tastyyy… I got the coconut curry shrimp extra spicy and it was great. Solid portion. Probably cost about twice what it ought to cost so unfortunately it’ll have to be for special occasions only.

My only experience with Indian food is the little café at UH, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. They opened after 12PM a little later than the time listed here on Unilocal, but I was willing to wait. There’s a nice sized menu with meat and vegan options — something for everyone to try. I got the Fish Vindalu with Medium spice and Turmeric Tea. The tea is really refreshing, especially when it’s hot and sunny; it’s a bit like flowery chai if that makes sense. As for the food… Gosh. That first bite! It was SOFREAKINGDELICIOUS! Much better than any kind of curry I’ve had before and the spiciness was just right too. All the curries come with basmati rice — a perfect pairing. I don’t usually spend $ 14 eating out, but the portions are a good size and the flavor is definitely worth it. I think I’ve found my favorite new place. I’m going to have to go back soon!

So ono!!! I had the fish curry, my friend had shrimp curry, and we both had the tea… all amazing! The folks working were so sweet, super cool, and laid back! They even stayed open way past their closing time since we walked up and they had forgotten to turn off the«open» light! I will definitely be back to say hi and get more delicious Indian food!

Ordered this Chana palak; spinach, garbanzo beans, sautéed in coconut ginger onion &garlic spiced with cumin, cardamom, and ginger. It was delicious! Very hardy so one order could be shared. I’d order it again. Good first experience

Café Turmeric is one of those hidden gems that when you finally find it, you are upset you didn’t know about it all along. I first came here with my family and got the vibrant veg curry all vegan. It was amazing! Delicious, authentic Indian food is hard to find. It was the best Indian food I have had in years! On top of that, we were greeted warmly and felt incredibly welcomed. They gave us suggestions and cook to individual order, each dish being unique. I am officially a regular!

Best Indian Food I’ve had in my entire life. If you are in Haleiwa and want an authentic dining experience, café Turmeric will deliver some awesome meals catering half of their menu to vegans. I had the option for mild medium and spicy for the yummy fish curry served with basmati rice. It was so good. Orgasmic is the only word I can think of at the moment beside becoming aware of the breath or body the fire that warms our souls listening to the sounds and seeing the sights. Thanks Dev

Friendly to vegetarians? VERY Hands down, this was the best Indian food I have ever had. I am visiting family on the islands and this hidden gem on the north shore of Oahu was a treasure in paradise. The menu was very very friendly to vegetarians and vegans, as well as using non-GMO and mostly organic ingredients in every meal. This authentic Indian cuisine was flavorful and absolutely beautiful. I recommend this food truck to everyone! Great energy, great environment, great food!

Stumbled upon this epic food truck by chance. Thank you Café Turmeric! The food was incredibly tasty and you get a great portion for the price. I’ll definitely be back! Did I mention candle lit dining?

We’re from Cali and finally received kind service and authentic Indian food in Oahu! This couple is so beautiful and genuine. The mahi mahi curry is phenomenal. It’s a bit hidden behind big wave shrimp but once you find it its so worth it! Check it out.

Actually found this place by chance. Was looking past the shrimp truck by the street(across from the service station… not in the«pit») and saw a pink truck(not them). Noticed there were more trucks and turned in. I recognized the owners from the Farmer’s market where I tried the fish curry… which was awesome. Went back several times before not being able to venture out to the market for the past month; so, glad they have a venue closer to home for me which is more convenient. Tried the shrimp curry. I ordered the mild version but was told it would not be spicy. They suggested a little spicy if I did want some kick; so, it was somewhere between mild and medium and was just perfect. Will try the medium next time. Someone mentioned the smell and yes it tastes just as good if not better than it smells. Portion is generous. Could’ve made two portions… if I didn’t finish it since it was so good!

It’s awesome to have another solid food option on N Shore! We tried 3 of their dishes and they were all fantastic. The dishes we tried did lack the signature warming sensation in your chest that we look for in rock star level Indian food, but that is just a personal preference and doesn’t affect my review of this truck in the slightest. They have both meat(shrimp or fish) and vegan options

An Indian food truck(and a tasty one at that) on the N. Shore FTW! From the moment you roll up, you can smell an intoxicating blend of curry and other exotic spices wafting from this cute little teal truck. Just follow your nose to this world of delicious Far East wonder and you won’t be disappointed. For those looking, it’s nestled into the back corner of the parking lot next to the One Love Smoke Shop and across the street from Bubble Shack. I stopped off on a whim on the third day they were open and, although they’re still working out a couple kinks with lighting and such, the service and food were completely on point. They have a couple cute tables in front of the truck for those who want to eat there. Menu includes about 7 dishes — a couple have seafood and the rest are veggie/vegan. Prices range from $ 9 for a small dal to $ 14 for a seafood dish, with most hovering around $ 12. Believe it’s cash only, and they were open until 7-ish on the day I visited. The woman taking orders was warm and welcoming, and helped explain the dishes on the menu. I opted for the«yummy fish curry» to go, mainly because I planned to share it with my other half and he likes some protein… i could have easily done with just the veggie version. The flavor exploded in my mouth and it wasn’t as spicy as I’d thought it would be(I got the most spicy, but I like a lot of heat). Love the diverse assortment of veggies that you could tell were fresh, including carrots, breadfruit, celery and peas. Not too thick or rich either, which I don’t like about a lot of curries. So psyched to have this truck roll into Haleiwa and it’ll be on my regular meal rotation.

A pretty Gem we found on the North Shore. A cute food wagon offering authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. We had the Coconut curry shrimp. Dish comes with a flavorful and fresh curry –coconut sauce with plenty jumbo shrimp with a side of fluffy and delicious Basmati rice. It was served pipin hot, made fresh! the sauce had complex and subtle flavors and plenty fresh al-dente veggies. We loved it so much we bought a second plate and asked for extra spice. Owners are a gentle and sweet couple and you can tell they care about giving you good food with Aloha. The food was beautiful in flavor and presentation, a treat in a sea of local plates and shrimp trucks. Will be a regular!
