Terrible nachos. They put on cheese and put them in the microwave! Salsa is flavorless.

Not so killer. Really wanted to like this place since it’s got a great name and vibe. Basically it’s a spicier version of Chipotle without the freshness. Disappointing.

I’ve been here a few times while visiting the North Shore– I personally think the best thing here is the Kahlua pig crunchy tacos. The lunch special is a good deal– two tacos and a drink for $ 4.99 I believe?! Overall I think the place is a little pricey– an individual taco starts at like $ 2.50. Maybe I am just cheap! The salsa was ok– but could use a kick, some salt, maybe more jalapeño. The customer service was good on my last trip– and there was ample seating during the lunch hour. The refried beans were yummy– ask them to top them with cheese!

Very nasty and overpriced my husband and i ordered the long board burrito. It was poorly made. Customer service was absolutely terrible. Rude and racist to the extreme. Don’t go to this place unless you are Asian.

Food taste great. Great service. We were here with a bunch of kids and they made an extra quesadilla and gave it to us for free.

On the sleepier side of Haleiwa lies this gem. Now, I don’t expect much when eating Mexican food in Hawaii, but this spot can quench a craving well. Aside from delicious chicken burritos,(I like the veggie wrap and black bean options) their prices aren’t aimed at tourists, and are a great value for the quality of food. I will have to try a larger variety of menu options and update, but they are 3 for 3 on delicious, hit the spot burrito. I also like the AC, which I’m sure struggles to cool in the summer, yet a nice addition regardless, and the TV they have mounted and set to good olé 250⁄1250 for whatever surf event is live or on replay. Good spot for a larger crowd too as they have plenty of room for a lot of people if needed. Next time I will have to try their tacos ***Update Nov 2015*** Tyler Durden says no to the nachos. Bad chips, bad cheese, microwaved… no thanks! Only have to learn that one once

It’s been a few years since I’ve been here. But I feel like expressing my experience. My family and I were in North Shore and saw their big sign. It’s very catchy and inviting. We stopped here and we were absolutely disappointed. We love Mexican food and have eaten Mexican at many places across the nation and in Mexico. Killer Tacos is the absolute worst Mexican food we have ever had. I’ve had better Mexican food in cafeterias. Anyone who gives them more than one star are obviously a friend, owner, or someone with zero taste.

Stopped in for a snack after exploring the North Shore. It was conveniently located off the road and served as a nice snack before the drive back to Waikiki. I tried the fish taco and it was pretty supreme for the price and quickness. It isn’t your straight-from-the-ocean fish taco, but it does the job. Salsa was a bit garlicky, but i’m on board. Thank you

So I’ve been told that if I like North Shore Tacos i needs to try this place out because they were good too. I will agree Killer Tacos(which is more mexican food than seafood) does have good fish tacos; but I’m still partial to North Shore Tacos. Difference is grilled fish from North Shore versus fried at Killer Tacos, that being said they are different in a good way and good. The store is well kept and the service was quick, but most of all the prices are probably the best I’ve had in the area!

My family and I usually stop here in north shore before heading home. Why? Because it’s cheap(er) and we like burritos. Not much seating available, especially if you have 4 or More people. The burritos are aight. The price is ehhhh ok. I get it, it’s in Hawaii so expensive. About the same price as chipotle, but about 2⁄3 the quality. If the staff was friendly I would give it 4 stars. The workers are usually young kids that look at you like you’re dumb. 1 cookie is a dollar? Really? Subway gives you 2 cookies for a dollar and they are twice your size. Maybe your cookies cure cancer? Anyway, good place for a quick stop.

The food is yummy and the price is reasonable. Only bad thing is looking or waiting for a parking stall. I like that I can get this huge burrito that’s twice or triple the size of a soda can!

Conveniently located at the edge of Haleiwa town, perfect for satisfying your taco cravings. They sell tacos individually for $ 2.50 and the choices included kalua pork, spicy ground beef, and chicken. The spicy ground beef is not spicy at all, which is what my boyfriend said(his spicy tolerance is much lower than mine). The kalua pork was a bit dry and because the meat was a bit tough, my taco ended up falling apart while I was trying to take a bite. The toppings are fairly standard– lettuce, cheese, salsa. There wasn’t anything wrong with it but there was nothing really special about it either. The ingredients were definitely more fresh in comparison to somewhere like Taco Bell but other than that, I wouldn’t have minded tacos from taco bell either. Truth be told, I actually prefer the Taco Bell taco supreme. Price wise, it’s not super expensive so it’s worth trying if you’re in the area or if you’re craving a quick bite before or after going to the beach. Pros: plenty of parking, doesn’t seem too crowded, not that expensive. Cons: food is a bit bland, nothing special, comparable to taco bell.

This place is my favorite place to eat at when I am on the North Shore. Everything in Haleiwa is extra expensive and mostly Waikiki quality. Killer Tacos is like a nice hide away. Good food at a decent price. I always go with the longboard Burrito and I love it. Price $ 8 — nothing wrong with that! Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathrooms clean and so is the restaurant. Keep up the good work guys! I even mentioned you on my german travel website: So if you have the feeling people are yelling at you but you have no idea what they are saying please be nice, they’re probably German and just trying to order. :) Aloha, Daniel

I love coming here for lunch! The drive out to Haleiwa is definitely worth it. I have yet to try anything other than the longboard burrito, since it’s perfectly made every time. You gotta get it with the kalua pig, to add that Hawaiian flavor in there! Prices are kind of expensive, but for what you get(at least with the longboard) I think it’s worth. Totally filling.

I came here after we went on the shark cage tour as it was recommend by a military couple who had been stationed here from Chicago 8 months ago. Maybe I should of not taken their advice. Being from San Diego I know good fish tacos. These tacos were not good at all. I had the fish tacos no flavor what so ever. I had the chips and salsa and rice and beans the beans tasted canned and the rice was alllll mushy and stuck together. The salsa had a bitter taste to it and was veryyyy cold not like room temperature cold but ice cold. It was kind of like a taco bell of chipotle. I won’t be back my next time in Hawaii nor will I recommend anyone to it. The three stars are for customer service not for food.

Uhh… not a fan. The super nachos sucked(chips were microwaved, and it was only accompanied by cheese and meat. I guess I’ve always been lucky to have restaurants live up to the«super» in front of nachos! Fish tacos were nasty. Umm. what else… oh that’s right, the cashier wasn’t friendly at all. Didn’t even make an effort to say hi — just got straight to the«what can i get you…» I felt rushed with my order but what difference does it make… Pretty much a disgrace to Mexican food, if it’s even lucky enough to be in that category.

Searching, searching and still searching for flavor in their food. I’ve had the tacos a couple of times and keep hoping they’ll get better. There really is no taste until you add some hot sauce. They also serve their tacos on flour tortillas, making a bland taco even more bland. It’s a killer deal for the N. Shore(around $ 5 for 2 tacos), but thoroughly unimpressive. One plus is that they’re open kinda late for this area, so if you’re desperate, there’s that.

I want to like this place because they serve halfway decent tacos on the island. But I just really don’t like coming here. 4 stars for the lunch taco deal, which they apparently offer all day. Hale’iwa time, and all. Crunchy tacos, one pig, one chicken, with a side of beans — yum. Great crispy shell,(I presume freshly) fried to a deep golden. 1 star service. Every time I come in, I feel like I’m being silently and harshly judged for not being hip enough. The snobbiness is totally incongruous to their chill surfer-stoner vibe you think you’d get. Any friendliness just seems put-upon, inauthentic. Cash only.
