Manny’s Huli Huli

This place is SO good! We stumbled upon Manny’s while en route to get shave ice. What a pleasant surprise it was! We ate so much that we decided to pass on the ice. I can’t wait to go back! Best chicken I’ve had to date.

We came we ate was good

We went to Matsumoto’s to get shave ice before hitting North Shore. Sitting in the parking lot, looking for some money to buy our shave ice with, we smell this incredible grilled meat smell. We saw the signs for Huli Huli chicken but since we just had some horrible McDonalds food, we decided to try the chicken another day. We went back and got a half chicken (only $ 4!). It was soooo good. They sprayed the sauce into the take out container and then cut up the chicken for us so we could eat it easily. We were probably one of their early customers, since it was around 10am. Our chicken had a great glaze on it (really good when dipped in the sauce that was sprayed on the box) and was nice and tender. I will definitely go back!

it was our first day back. It was easter sunday and rather than spending the sunday watching a bunch of kids I didn’t even know (they are relative’s of my cousin’s husband) search for easter eggs, I decided to snatch the hubby and go to North Shore.
We were starving so we stumbled across this place. It was pretty good but I have to admit my hubby can make it better. The chicken lacked flavor. It was fresh and I liked how the people were so nice and they even had a sink to wash your hands afterward.
I might go back but it just depends on how hungry we are. I wouldn’t make a special trip back there though.

This is the spot grilling Huli Huli chicken outside between Aoki and Matsumoto Shave Ice. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. You can get half a chicken fresh off the grill for $ 4. It’s pretty tasty with a semi-​sweet glaze and both dark and white meat are nice and moist.
