I came here today for an early lunch with a co-worker. They have wraps here and poke bowls and other healthy options. I loved their spicy ahi poke bowl here! It was very fresh and it was served over brown rice and topped with furikake and sprouts and onions. You pay $ 1 extra for Avacado and it comes with teriyaki sauce that you drizzle over your poke bowl. There’s tables here to sit at and its directly across street from Sharks Cove beach.

Best poke bowls in O’ahu! I can’t recall the name of the poke I purchased but it was delicious. I know they only have maybe 1 or 2 choices for poke on their menu but man is it delicious. The sauce that comes with the poke is unbelievable. Must try! Also, the food truck is located conveniently right across from the Pupukea Beach. It is a couple of steps away from the other food trucks. Pupukea Grill has the best poke bowls & the nicest employees!

Delicious! I had the quesadilla and my husband got the chicken played lunch. The quesadilla was fresh and had great flavor. My husband said the chicken was some of he best chicken he had ever had. I also appreciated that this food truck wasn’t where the group of them were so it was easy to maneuver and park.

Very unassuming blue food truck parked in a lot across from Shark’s cove. Limited parking in front of the truck, but you can park along the side of the road in front of surrounding houses. Really good food that tastes fresh. I always get the spicy ahi bowl($ 9), which is served over brown rice w/some nori and teri sauce. The chunks of fish are soft and seasoned perfectly. I’d guess it comes w/about 1/3−½ lb of poke. It’s just the right amount of food to fill me, but if you’re a bigger eater you might still be hungry. The kalua pig tacos are pretty good too($ 11.50). Best mexican food I’ve ever tried? Not really. But it’s a filling portion and the pineapple salsa w/cilantro on top is mean. Don’t forget to wash it all down with a Purps hydro drink($ 3.50). Its Kelly Slater’s concoction of coconut water and a bunch of antioxidant berries that are supposed to be really good for you. It actually tastes refreshing and not sweet.

Oh my, so delicious! We were on our way back from the North Shore and intended to go to one of the ever-popular shrimp trucks, but after seeing the traffic opted for something closer — Pupukea Grill did not disappoint and I’m so glad we went! Staff was very friendly and food was scrumptious. I got the ahi taco plate with fresh warm tortillas, black beans and rice, and ate every last bite. Don’t miss this, it’s a hidden gem but won’t be for long.

After spending 4 days on Oahu and trying all sorts of food trucks, this place was the best by far! I heard about the food trucks in Hawaii and had to try as many as possible. A lot were great but this one stood out. With dishes like the ahi loco moco and poke bowls, they do their food well. If you are anywhere near here you have to try it or you’re seriously messing up.

YASSSS. I loved this truck! One of my fave meals out here. Everything we got was delicious and did not disappoint. The quesadilla was amazing, the chicken was pretty good, the flat bread was delish, and best of all… the spicy poke salad. YUM!!! I would definitely head on back here. A plus is that Shark’s Cove is across the street! Pupukea has the kea to my stomach.

One of the best food trucks I’ve visited! This is parked on the north shore, and there is a little picnic area with shaded tables next door. We had the two most popular dishes, the ahi tune poke bowl and the teriyaki chicken dish. We also enjoyed the dragon smoothie, which was both pretty and delicious. Everything was fresh and the portions were big. This is a must do if you make it to the north shore. They take credit cards as well, which is nice.

Been on Oahu for 4 days so far, and this is my fiancée and my favorite spot yet. The girls were so nice, and the food was ridiculously good. We got the Shoya plate and the pork tacos, each were amazing. The homemade Pico de Gallo was the best ever, it was so good! I wish I knew the shoya was on the bone, cuz I don’t like working for my food! Haa. I’m spoiled. The taste was great tho and I know it tastes better with the bone. The local kitten was cute too. We will be back in a couple days so I can get their dragonfruit smoothie!

Just tried this place and it did not disappoint! Fresh and healthy! Hubby got the shoyu teri chicken plate(which we ended up sharing) and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Even the potato mac salad was better than most, and it also had fresh greens and. brown rice. I got a small shrimp tempura and crab spicy handroll. It was bigger than I thought it would be and filling! Will be back again when I’m in the area. Saw someone get the dragon fruit smoothie and it looked so bright and inviting, def on my to — try list. Located down the road from most of the other Sharks Cove food trucks. Shaded seating area was clean and had cool surf posters on the wall. Mahalo!

Wish I would’ve come here sooner. I visit my family on the North Shore 3 times a year and I have been told there are no decent food trucks. This is the best food I have had on the North Shore outside of Haleiwa town. It’s way better then the Elephant Truck. I had coconut Quinoa with chicken added on top. It’s white meat chicken(no funky skin or dark meat) homemade coconut quinoa with local veggies and a small salad comes with it. It was enough for two meals for me. I am defiantly going back to try other dishes ! Highly recommended.

Amazing. Went here while taking a trip to the North Shore area. My bf and I were over the shrimp trucks and decided to pass but a friend who use to live in Oahu recommened Pupukea Grill. It’s further north than the group of shrimp trucks and stands alone and I can see why. A lot of locals come here as well, so you know it’s good. My bf and I had the Spicy Tuna Quinoa Bowl & the Kalua Pork Quesadilla. Both were amazing. Talk about simple, fresh, and flavorful. This was one of the best meals I had in my time at Oahu because for the price and the food, it was perfect. The Spicy Tuna Quinoa bowl had great flavor, had right amount of spicy, was fresh, and had enough food that left me full. The Kalua pork in the quesadilla was so flavorful. It’s served with some sides and everything was just right. Pupukea Grill is definitely a close your eyes type of experience. You should definitely come here AND grab something to go so you can snack on while you are hanging out at the many beaches in North Shore.

Delicious. We got the poke bowl and the shoyu chicken, it was around $ 19 total. The service was good and the food came out very quick and it was fresh. The chicken falls of the bone and is so tasty and juicy. Will be back.

We had the quesadillas(pork ones) when we stopped by sharks cover. The portions were really good as we split one order. Once you eat all the sides that were included you really will have the energy to go swimming, surfing, or carry on with the rest of your north shore activities. The ahi poke bowls also looked amazing(the people before us had this).

They call this the«North Shore’s favorite truck» with good cause, this place is delicious! Hubby and I shared the ahi loco moco, and let me tell you… «lemon caper butter sauce, local north shore greens and fresh ahi» should be enough to make your mouth water, because the description doesn’t say«party of flavors in your mouth.» Great little local spot! The ahi was incredible and fresh. The only loco moco I had during this latest trip, and glad I did because nothing was gonna come close to the satisfaction that plate of food gave me. On a side note, feeling adventurous, I ordered the pitaya smoothie. I had no idea what it was, but figured since it was on the menu it probably wasn’t poisonous. I looked it up while the gal whipped our food up… dragonfruit! Smoothie was on point too, so bright in flavor and color! Pretty sure my taste buds were dancing.

Delicious! Delizioso. Blasus. Masarp. Ok. So I googled how to say«delicious» in other languages. But I’m sure you get the picture. After reading up on what to order, I decided on the two most popular dishes: the spicy tuna poke bowl and the hummus flatbread wrap. Both were excellent, so props to all my fellow Unilocalers for another bout of great recommendations! The tuna wasn’t as spicy as I thought it could be, so don’t be alarmed if spice is not your forte. The poke went well with the rice and seaweed. The flatbread was my favorite though; a mound of fresh veggies over a delicious flatbread generously spread with hummus. The dressing I poured over it all was just the cherry on top as well! We came around 12pm so there wasn’t a crowd at all. Prices are reasonable for the type of quality, fresh food you’re getting. Benches are available for you to enjoy your meal, although parking is limited. As long as you don’t mind being boxed in or boxing other customers in while you enjoy your meal, you’re good. There are a lot of food truck options in the area but don’t hesitate to stop by Pupukea Grill!

Overall impression: Solid. Would recommend this place. Wouldn’t mind coming back. Avg price(lunch): $ 10 – 12 Positives: –great beach/laid back/north shore atmosphere –food is delicious and unique –quick service –free parking –accepts credit card Negatives: –I suppose if the weather is poor, it wouldn’t be so fun to eat here It’s basically a food truck with wooden tables set up and a canopy over it with umbrellas. Right across from sharks cove. Really cool surfer type of vibe. Had the Spicy Ahi Quinoa bowl. It was delicious. Came really fast. Got it with the avocado, which costs extra but was worth it. Good amount of food too. Loved eating on the tables outside. The weather was sunny and absolutely perfect, not too hot, so it was the perfect setting. I can see how rain would make it not so fun, though. In general, a solid place. My wife would give it a 5 stars. I gave it a 4 just because it was really good but not like I absolutely NEED to come back. Very good though, would recommend.

A few of us visited Pupukea Grill as part of a series of North Shore eatery visits. As it was stop #3, I was fully expecting to be less inclined to enjoy the food, but I was pleasantly surprised. Located across the street from Shark’s Cove, Pupukea has a medium sized seating area and a small area for parking. Although their menu includes a selection of local and Mediterranean options, we went with a few of their Mexican dishes. We split an Ahi Quesadilla and the Chicken Enchiladas(which were a daily special). Both dishes came with lettuce, guac, pico, rice and beans. The rice and beans were just alright, but the veggies were fresh and the quesadilla and enchiladas were delicious. Both of them would be solid choices. The slightly(though not overly) high prices keep Pupukea Grill from being a 5 for me, but their food was great and this is definitely somewhere I would be happy to visit again.

I was staying at Sharks Cove Rentals(directly behind Pupukea Grill) and decided to grab lunch here. To be honest, I was expecting«meh» food truck food. But as I looked at the menu and read the reviews about this place I knew this place was something special. Choices ranged from Mexican, to Japanese to Local plate lunch, Acai bowls and everything in between. I was in the mood for some Mexican so I ordered a simple Chicken Quesadilla plate. The wait was longer than expected but for GOOD reason. As soon as she handed me the plate, I felt my hand quickly lower lol. Then when I opened it, wow… everything looked fresh and the chicken quesadilla looked cheesy and thick. Then, the bite. *sigh* I wanted to demolish the plate but my opu couldn’t handle. it made for great left overs though! Definitely a place to stop by while your in North Shore.
